I thought 'Twisters' was a fun time indeed. What bothers me is the comparison of the original to the new one. Also, the film 'Deep Impact' was a great disaster film

Great review man honestly was not planning on checking this one out but i was on vacation for the last 2 weeks and my son wanted to watch this one and so we watched it and yeah it was ok it did fly by but the movie was very forgettable with an extremely forgettable villain

Shout-out to the movie 'Brave'
So many people HATE the movie "Brave" and it's so crazy! I Never understood it. It might not be the BEST Pixar, but people hate on it like it's "Cars 2"! Unless you are a Cars 2 fan? lol

I’m not a huge fan of this franchise but I enjoyed my time watching this one. Will Smith and Martin Lawrance are great, and the action was full of energy. The humour was more miss than hit for me but four movies into this franchise and they’re still delivering crowd pleasers. Great review my frien

I liked that Ryan Reynolds was an imaginary friend, I thought that was clever writing
I felt this movie was too much like the Mirror Mask in story type. There was also not that great of character development. Plus, what was the point of the glow of the IFs when they met their creators? Seemed very anticlimactic. Also, the whole story was predictable. I pegged Reynolds as an IF ten minutes in to meeting him. Honestly, I give it a 4 of 10. Mainly because the story was not original and wasn't thought out well enough. It was like there was too many ideas trying to be put into the story. Also, all the good scenes were put into the trailer.

Civil War was a total let down. It was hard to sit through. The trailer was much better than the movie itself! Garbage camera work, no real story, unexcitable characters.

i mildly enjoyed this movie, but dont understand how people love it or see it as some sort of higher than normal art. The whole buddy car chase sequence was tone deaf and completely out of place. THAT'S how they choose to advance the plot? You could also tell they edited a bunch out of early scenes, because they have later dialogue/actions that reference or call back things that didn't exist in the movie. Also making this movie about photo journalism - is photo journalism some holy, revered profession? Do photo journalism students follow famous photo journalists and know their stats like they're baseball players? Should have just made this a big dumb war movie, like they did in Act 3. Even that part was heavily flawed, but at least it was entertaining

Hey Hanginglimbs! I love that you have a stance on this film - I disagree and enjoyed it quite a bit. I just wanted to sort of answer the question you asked "how could anyone love it?" and use the car chase scene as an example. As the car approaches, all we know is that someone is driving. We don't know what their intentions are or how they will react to the characters but with the added horror and fear of strangers that has been baked into the audience at this point, fueled by the scene earlier when the journalists find men hanging up outside the fuel stop. This scene had me on the edge of my seat the most as it was so difficult to get a read on if we could trust the "buddy." And when the car dips over the horizon and vanishes, the scene bloomed and it became obvious to me that it was a metaphor about trust, information and communication. When the first "buddy" starts climbing into the car, its only once he is in that we as an audience and the characters can trust this pair - they have something to lose. The journalists crew respond by showing trust back and reciprocating the behaviour - climbing between cars. Then we immediately move on to the scene with Jesse Plemons which explores confirmation bias. In a cerebral sense the film was almost saying that confirmation bias is the death of communication and developing trust, all through the action of cinema.
@@jackwalker4957 i prefer when people do things in movies that match the tone and, you know, make sense. The friend car ignores all sense of danger for "it's a prank bro!" Had no place in a movie where everyone is on edge and danger is omnipresent. And were these journalists? They came across like extra from Dude Where's My Car. Also, if the world is so dangerous that any car coming their way is potentially hostile, why are they playing around on the road doing a transfer? What if a baddie came around while they're doing that? Just a complete shift in tone that felt like it was from a different movie altogether
@@RayCharound it definitely felt out of place with the overall tone of the film. maybe some of those earlier scenes that were mentioned that got cut had a similar tone but were cut to try and market the movie as more serious and action-movie like

This film was boring, slow, very mismatched with local politics, no character development. When Sam is the best character....
Bürgerkrieg.... Der Untergang.... Stark... The scenes of devastation at Washington DC are reminiscent of Berlin in Oliver Hirschbiegel's epic film 🎬 Der Untergang (Downfall). Der einzige Widerspruch liegt ausserhalb des Films: Was kommt zuerst!? Ein Atomwaffenangriff, der DC verwüstet, oder dieser?! Very much like Quentin Tarantino.... Here, it's even more.... Epic, sporadic, intense, unmediated, eliminationist violence. Gunshots, grievous bullet wounds, blood loss, trauma and death. No scope of human agency. It's as if the origin of violence is transcendent. Negotiating terms without guns is fatal. Negotiating while wielding guns is futile and redundant. Therefore, make way for the sheer force & flow of violence. The language.... Viktor Klemperer wrote ✍️ about LTI.... Lingua Tertii Imperii.... The language of the Third Reich. Similarly, English is now the language of war, _le Langue du Guerre_ .

@@MrTeachFilmPreach - I went to see it on my own to verify that it was suitable. Now planning to go with my wife again later in the week. Anyone who does not sit through the end credits, with the faded image coming clearer and the song Dream baby Dream by Suicide being played, I think is missing a major point of the movie.

I am not the biggest Ghostbusters fan but I enjoyed the movie well enough, even if it was a bit messy. The inclusion of the OG cast mixed with the new cast worked well and there was enough horror elements and comedic jokes that worked for me to walk out having had a good time. Great review man!

Honestly not seen a single positive of this movie even Sydney Sweeney is shitting on this movie thankfully I have not spent any money on this but I do want to check this out for how bad it is when it comes out on streaming
Don’t do it man!! It’s not worth it! It’s maybe worth it to laugh AT the movie haha. But you will save yourself two hours and do something else lol. I usually don’t say that about art, but in this case, I’ll make an exception haha. Thanks for the comment buddy!
