Sooo many amazing food choices in Edinburgh, and you went to Taco Bell 😢😂.

Edinburgh castle is mostly a fortification so not so many fancy inside rooms as you would get in other residential castles around the country. A lot of tourists think they are all the same but no, this one was for defence!

This was such a fun day! Bringing back all the memories!

I took an Irish-girl up to the castle once and we were going through the books with the names of soldiers who'd served or died in WW1 as she had a great-grandfather who she was sure had served in the british-army - it took ages but finally she found his name and said - 'See - another poor Irish-man forced to fight for YOUR army !' (she used to jokingly say I was british - I'm not, I'm Scottish - only !) but as she was jumping about celebrating I looked at his details - unfortunately for my friend, his name WASN'T there for details of his service, it was there in a list titled - 'List of soldiers hung/shot for deserting' - oh how I laughed - Scotland 1 Ireland 0 😊 Another good video, ladies, especially of the Park/Arthur Seat - I must've covered every blade of grass there in my youth !

We were given a 'sneaky tour' of Mary King's Close in the late 70's/early 80's by a friend who worked in the council buildin'g that rests on the close - long before it became the tourist attraction that it is now !. Having experienced both old and new tours I have to say the old one was far superior, the new one mainly consists of people dressed in period costume, jumping out and frightening folk !. We were lucky with the first one as our friend knew everything about its very interesting but deadly history with plague-ridden residents bricked-in to try and prevent the diseases spreading !. But believe it or not, the part of the 1st tour that's stuck with me ever since was, when we got to what had been a butcher's, the hooks for hanging the meat were still there - just a tiny piece of history but for some reason its still with me today !. Thoroughly enjoyed your video, girls, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here - haste ye back !

St Abbs was a non negotiable for all of us though! We got to go to New Asgard! Why did we do so much walking though! It really was basically every day!

The way I was showing all the leg on the Authur's seat hike! I wish we had another day in the city but we did so well with the speed run. The vibes were amazing.

Edinburgh was actually the most beautiful place and I really felt like we had made it to The UK! I miss this trip so much.

So I knew that Edinburgh was gud, but it is definitely a place I must visit at least once in my lifetime

hahahaha me being absolutely delighted at the Ripley's museum musical stairs :D i still reckon the Sunshine Holey Moley was the better themed one!! (also just realised i wasn't subscribed to this channel!? disgraceful) still annoys me how pre-recorded the good citizen awards show is pre-recorded haha. And i was shaky after green lantern LOL but the more i think about it, the more i actually enjoyed it :P i also love how progressively more tired - but still happy - we look as well. Such a fun trip!
