I have such sweet memories spending our summers out here at my grandparents summer house on the island…..❤

My father and me operated a tug and barge operation during the 1970s and we delivered several houses to herron island that came from the expansion of Sea - Tac airport. We loaded the houses on to the barge at Redondo beach.

Herron Island is one of the best kept secrets in South Puget Sound!

Gotta say, those tiny little 9-ish car ferries are adorable.
