I did orchard chores, my two crabapples in the front yard have an abundance of an abundance of apples. I scooped up 25 gallons of crabapples with even more to come, Down Off the Trees. I too am experiencing the joys of seasonal activities, it's crab apple abundance!! no not a Bun Dance ABUNDANCE !!! an overflow of crab apple goodness the squirrels and rabbits can't eat enough to keep up so it's rake up 60 gallons of crab apples, that's 12, 5gallon buckets, once ever other week until the tree gives up. Happy Seasons!!!

there IS Magic in the Frost. when the snow first falls on my garden and begins to collect and has that first all white layer on the conifers, bamboo and the waterfall, it looks like a Kyoto wood block print, it's when it gets down below zero that it starts losing it's Magic and becomes a monster. Freeze-dried bamboo isn't pretty.
