Rinvoq Upadacitinib update. Last dose of Adtralza Tralokinumab last week
How has your experience been with Tralokinumab been since this video? Have you had any noticeable side effects, e.g. with eyes (redness, irritation, dryness) that was a common thing I've been told about? I just started yesterday with the first two injections.
Eyes are the worst. One year on and continue getting worse. I’m on three drops per day of cyclosporine for the eye
when did you start getting eczema?
Like a year old
I can i ask your body is imflamed on the inside fjnd put were the fire is and try to liminate ..i suffer from eszema im on dupixent last 3 weeks working fine at moment watching out for side effects
Sorry. What’s the question
Have you ever used dupixent ?
Yes he has. See previous videos
@@aislouise Thank you :)
I just tried the juice. Barely felt the needle, but the medicine did not feel great going in. Other than that, pretty cool tech. Thanks for the video.
lol juice
Had my first one today it hurts and burns like hell. Had to do both legs for the first time. I guess it is better I went to a doctor because I couldn't have done it on my own.
@Phil_Melone let it get up to room temperature first. It'll hurt less.

I was on Dupixent for almost 1 year but I started to get swollen joints in my hands. I started Adbry about 1 month ago, but it still needs time to fully work. How are you doing on Adbry thus far? Itchy eyes are a side effect of both. Hopefully it will eventually calm down.
Hi! Firstly, good work for being out here and raising awareness, I am trying to do the same. :D and FYI I will binging on your videos. I have been trying to watch your videos on Tralokilomab, but they don't seem to work. I wanted to ask what has been your experience with it? I failed Duplimab, it was great for my eczema however I had a canular obstruction (blocked/damaged tear duct) whilst on it. I also had an adverse reaction to Lebrokuzimab, I had swollen eyes and new dry eczema that I did not have before. Bothe the drugs mentioned have helped others but for some reason I am being effected more by the side effects of them. I'm not sure if you have tried any of the above mentioned drugs. I think I am taking in reverse, meaning I have tried the most strongest of the biologics, now I am moving to Trelo. Due to my previous experiences as mentioned above, I am worried about how this drug will react for my eyes especially. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
Hey. Sorry for the late reply. Tralokinumab is working well but not so much for my eyes. They’re quite irritable so using cyclosporine eye drops to help them. You should try Rinvoq. I think that would be a good option for you as it’s safe for the eyes over the other mentioned biologics
Thank you for this video :)) I was a bit worried I would do it wrong. It actually is simple.
Hey everyone, I’ve been on Adtralza for the last two years. Before I started, my eczema was pretty severe, and I thought (still think) Adtralza was a lifesaver. But I had my maintenance shots (300mg) four days ago, and now I'm experiencing my first eczema flare-up in two years. I can totally sense it when eczema hits you hard - especially with the change of seasons. You get that weird allergic feeling, the itchiness, the dryness all over your body. And once you start scratching, it’s like the beginning of a full-blown disaster. I hadn’t had a flare-up in so long, so I’m definitely in paranoid mode right now. Adtralza has been my ultimate cure so far, but if it can’t stop this, I’m wondering what can? I’m planning to ask my doctor if I can have my initial dose of 600 mg instead of the 300 mg maintenance dose - hopefully, that’ll help with this flare-up. For anyone considering Adtralza or if your dermatologist recommends it, it’s been working great for me overall (until now). Stay strong and keep up the great work, Eczema Warrior!!!
Curious how that flare you mentioned 2 months ago progressed? Are you back under control do you think? I’m a month into tralokinumab for eczema
@aislouise Thanks for your reply and for checking in. It’s working great for me. My dermatologist said it’s just a temporary hiccup that hit me hard for three or four days. It was similar to the eczema I had before Adtralza, but it eventually went away! Thank God:) So, it’s all good. In theory, if you're on Adtralza, you’ll probably not experience this level of severe eczema. It should work great for you:)
Hello from Canada! Just wanted to say, please keep up the great work!!! A lot of people like us will watch it. Eczema can affect one's life in such a difficult way. If you don't have it, you wont get it. Sometimes, even your family may not fully understand. But this TH-cam support group is such an excellent space because people here really get it. Keep doing what you're doing, and let's stay connected!
Hello there :) I appreciate comments like this - thank you for being here. I agree fully - even family do not understand and eczema can make us feel lonely in a crowded room. It sucks. People look and treat us different. Something my mum always taught me is, remember - while many suffer less pain than us, many suffer far more than us in other ways. The grass is not always greener on the other side.
totally agree. I´ve started watching from Germany recently and it's been bloody helpful.
@@MarcKremer-u7c Glad you have found it of use. I will make more videos soon - anything in particular you would like to see?
Hello, Are you still using Dupixent along with the Rinvoq? Good luck to you.
No. You shouldnt use both together. I am now on Tralokinumab! Check it out!
Glad your flares are under control bud. This condition is relentless…
Thanks for the video, i live in portugal and im starting today rinvoq!! Know i have and idea of what im getting into 😂
Good luck there. I’d love to live in a nice country like Portugal 🇵🇹 ☺️. But I remain in ☔️ uk 🇬🇧 🤦
Yeah i hear you dude. Sorry if i came off as naggy. Everyone has there systems with dealing with skin stuff. I think the the tsw crowed is just trying to share information cause they don't want to be doing it alone. Ezema can be so lonely. But they can be Soo cringe.
I get that about tsw but I also don’t think people need to be forcing it down everyone’s throat (especially on other peoples channel). You’re not naggy bro. You’re cool 😎
The steroid cream addiction was created by big pharma and the dermatologist associations. They tricked dr into pushing strong creams to cover underlined immune issues. Its just in and out for billing ..It's a bummer but its whatever. I hate when my skin starts leeching water and you stick to the sheets. keep uo the vids.
Dude that’s the worst. When you ooze and skin sticks to your sheets or to tissues when you try to get to it. I’ve just been bashing my head against the wall with someone on TikTok preaching to high heaven on my video. Like wow. If it isn’t a cult, people pushing the living shit out of tsw are certainly making it seem one!
If you’re up for some face exfoliating, try out creams or toners with lactic acid-it’s super gentle and keeps your skin nice and hydrated. The Ordinary has a good one to check out. Oh, and I use this red light mask from Amazon that was around $100, and it’s awesome for calming down inflammation!
@@captinzoom some amazing points for me to note my man. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for the vid, did use 3,5 years dupilumab, same kind injection and did work great but several times eye inflammation. So stopped with dupilumab. Try to use couple of months no medicine, but was no good decision. Used 2 times tralokinumab past 2 months, but at the same time also started with hormonetherapy tablets, and i did get a horrible hairloss. Stopped using tralokinumab. Doctors did not know if it was a trigger from the biological or the tablets. Hairloss is stable right now, lucky me. But did not stopped with the hormone therapy tablet . And try now again the Tralokinumab.
Thanks for your comment. I would only ever try one thing at a time. Hormonal meds sounds like they've caused the hairloss - as its not very common with Tralo. I do wish you luck - conjunctivitis is a bitch though :)
Don't you want to,👊 peeps who tell you to go tsw. 😅 My Dr once told me it's like a rollercoaster. It's up and down. Speaking of salt water being good for the feet. Try hypochlorous acid. It's a safe disinfectant. I use it as a spray to kill off the bacteria that causes flairs. Sort of like a bleach wash. It's used in a lot of skin care clinics now
Thanks man. I will give it a shot but so far, touch wood. The salty water seems to have helped my feet 😊
have you tried not using any medication for your eczema?
Several times. The last time I did TSW was for 2.5 years and was painful with no improvement in sight
Glad to see your doing good dude. I Love protopic. So glad to hear it's working for you. It's been my go to for my face for almost 10 years. Gut health is key as well to keep the flair ups at by. I recall their is a specific probiotic that has showed to help with eczema. sauerkraut will also help with your gains at the. Gym as a side Note
It is the high protein diet which comes with the gym that helps!
Have you tried dupixent?
Guessing you've not watched my previous videos ;) Yep, did a year on Dupilumab (Dupixent). It worked wonders until it didnt
Ahh sorry, must have missed it, been following your new videos over last couple weeks, I appreciate your insight on this subject
@@JohnGregus-o4h Happy to answer any questions you may have :)
Im 41 and have had severe eczema since i was 2. I feel your pain. TH-cam recommended your Video.Just go back on the rinvoq. You don't have to live like this. Ive been on since last year. I had a break and it was awful. I went back to using tubs of steroids cream for my body and it still wasn't as good as rinvoq. You can have great skin. Good luck dude. Also try bkexten/ bilastine for your hay feaver. Was a game changer
Appreciate that buddy. I don’t think Rinvoq is a good solution long term and the adverse effects when leaving are bad. Tralokinumab seems to be the safest long term option along with ciclosporin eye drops. Are you documenting your journey? Appreciate the tips on bilastine for hayfever!
Did u cured from tsw ?
I stopped tsw. Check my earlier vids bro
Are u still on steroids?
Yes I am
Hey man, I just got prescribed rinvoq 15mg today, I'm uncertain whether to take them as I'm really concerned of the non-melanoma skin cancer risk, how are you getting on with the side effects
TSW was tough without a doubt man
You still going through it?
Hi there. Have you suffered with eczema for every year of your life, or did it go away for a few years at any point? My eczema came back 5 years ago when I was about 27 after not suffering for years since having it as a child. It is so bad right now I have been off work for 5 months. I've tried UV light therapy, Cyclosporine, and now Dupixent but none of them have worked. Never been so low in my life to be honest. The constant scratching and flaking, as well as the constant lack of sleep is driving me insane.
Unfortunately it never fully goes away but yes some parts of my life were better and more controlled than others. I would say hang in there and control your diet (if you don’t already). Drink more water and make sure you wash with soft water. Hard water is horrible ☺️🙏 Wishing you well Langers
Thanks for this video! Im gonna put it now and i wanted to see how to use it!
Sure - let me know how it went :)
The same thing happened to me last week. I took rinvoq for 6 months and then i got infected. Now switching to dupilumab. Wish you strength, warrior!
I also wish you strength. I am now on Tralokinumab. Started on Monday. Not nearly as effective as I've been applying steroids to my face every day since the infection (ideal? nope). But certainly not as shitty as this infection
Sorry that this is happening, can you see a dermatologist urgently?
No need. I am already 97% better now. I just needed the antibiotics to kick in. I used topical steroids (Elocon) on the face to help it heal. I shed for a whole 2 days and now my skin is so much better. I will do an update video tomorrow. Thanks for your comment and thoughts
Did Rinvoqdo that to your face? I feel so sorry for you. I hope your face clears up very soon. Loads of hugs.
Thanks for your message. It wasn’t Rinvoq directly, it was a virus I might have caught. Rinvoq just suppressed my immune system so hard that the virus needed to and had to come out. Taking antibiotics and antivirals while on Rinvoq would be meaningless as one would constantly be fighting the other. I am still really bad today with around 3 hours sleep. I hope to be better tomorrow.
How u feeling now. U started on 15 mg or 50.
15 - I have since upped it to 30, just to clear the face. Then I will taper back down to 15

Thank you - very easy indeed
Did you have fatigue from rinvoq??
Oh yeah. Massively! I was sleeping like 8-9 hours a night, and then dozing off at the office haha. I am now back on Rinvoq as I feel the overall benefits far outweighed the negatives. (about to post an update)
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you're doing better. Would you say the Rinvoq completely stopped the itching and cleared the skin? Problem with my eczema is that I'm profusely scratching all the time and topical steroids are becoming less and less effective. My pigmentation has darkened significantly from head to toe. Does the Rinvoq actually normalize it?
So a few questions here. Yes, the Rinvoq stopped the scratching almost immediately. Like within two days for sure. I was also scratching like a madman to the point I would tear my skin up. I also have the pigmentation issue. This is from the eczema scars and scabs. Overtime these will go back to normal, but only with years of normalisation. The Rinvoq will not solve the pigmentation issue, only time (a lot of time!) will and even that is if the skin is undamaged. Look at my forehead - you will see white spots. These have been there for years - its fine, I deal with it.
Please can you do an update on the RINVOQ?
Uploading as we speak ☺️
Uploaded :) th-cam.com/video/poyeihJxvd4/w-d-xo.html
I know this channel hasn't been updated in quite a while but was wondering how that Rinvoq worked out for you. As someone with bad eczema himself, would love to hear your experience on this drug.
Hey Roger, Rinvoq was a Godsend. It worked wonders for around 6 months then started to be less and less effective. Then I got an infection and was advised to come off completely. I am now on Tralokinumab - similar to Dupilumab - a biologics. Its not bad, took a while to see the effects. So far, Rinvoq has, by far, been the most effective eczema medication.
Here you go, sir! th-cam.com/video/poyeihJxvd4/w-d-xo.html
My eyes red and burning on dupixent. It's terrible. It's getting worse every year I am on dupixent. Did your eyes get better when you switched to ringvoc?
Yes my eyes got much better on Rinvoq but I had other side effects. Ill be putting up another video tomorrow (hopefully). For the eyes, as I said above, get Ciclosporin eye drops prescribed. They help!
Please keep us updated I will start this drug in a few weeks
Starting this week. Really nervous about side effects but we'll see how it goes.
@@at0m1z3r6 keep me updated I have an appointment for the 2nd next month to see a doctor to recommend and dermatologist to get that shot
Sorry Ive not been active. I will be from now. So I had the eye issue and it was horrible. However, you can get Ciclosporin eye drops prescribed. They're not nice and will feel uncomfortable when applying but thats short lived and ultimately do help.
@@at0m1z3r6 Let me know how you got on :)
@@EczemaWarrior its been life changing. Had my first dose in late September and after only the first pill my itching subsided. I didn't need to use any more steroid cream for a long time. I still moisturize when I get out of the shower though. I've been on it for about 8 months now and I do notice a tiny bit loss of efficacy - sometimes I will get some eczema around my neck and chest area and will have to apply a small amount of steroid cream but my eczema is nowhere near as bad as before I started. I used to scratch until I bled and would get it all over my bed sheets. I do want to note however I have experienced some side effects such as mild acne, increased appetite and some weight gain and a little bit of low energy. This also helped my alopecia and I now have a full head of hair again so overall its been pretty awesome!
thanks for sharing. not too many videos of people sharing their story of eczema and rinvoq. I've just been cleared to start treatment with Rinvoq for my eczema & prurigo nodularis. Hopefully I will be on it soon. Would love an update on your journey. hoping it works out for you.
Hey there - sorry for my super late reply. Ive been on Rinvoq for like 2 months now and it is MILES better for me than Dupixent. I have even completely stopped moisturising - which is crazy for me. Ill do an updated video soon.
Hi. It's been a couple years now. How are you doing.? Thanks for doing these videos, really helps us TSW sufferers.
Hi sorry for the super late reply! So for the past year I have been on Dupilumab injections. The NHS is amazing and covers the costs once you qualify and the injections are great. Within a month all eczema was clear. Of course over the course of time, your body gets used to it - so I still take the injections every two weeks. Eczema isnt cured (dont think it ever could be) but certainly well managed!
Did you ever try dietary changes?
Yeah - unfortunately didnt help much!
Hello How is your skin today? from Aus.
Much better. Thanks. Stopped TSW some years back and never looked back!
I totally agree with you, suffering for 1 month of TSW is actually not even worth it. Why don"t you try Doctor Aron's regimen, I heard it helps massively in TSW and some TSW sufferers use it like only once a month after a Year of following the regimen. To me, I will never take the risk of going TSW simply because I don't want to waste years of my life.
Honestly, at this point. I am only putting my trust in research and drugs, approved by the NHS (if you're outside the UK, then you should follow your countries guidelines)
How long were you using tropical steroids for before withdrawing? And how high was the potency
About 34 years. Strongest being elecon
I’m suffering going through the same thing good luck pal
Been a few years, and I've updated a few vids since then - thanks mate :)
Steroids aren't going to work forever. They will just keep giving you higher strength steroid creams which will make you worse.
Usman Ali while i had a reason to go back. I definitely dont regret it. People have been in pain for decades on withdrawal. I could get hit by a bus in the next 4 years and have spent the 4 years in pain. While there is a chance the withdrawal could heal me. The years i spent in pain taught me one thing; you live once. You dont know what’ll happen tomorrow. Live to the fullest! Good luck whatever you decide
