I'm a husband, father of two children, and have a full-time career. I live in the "Sportsman's Paradise" and want to take you along for some of my outdoor adventures. Videos will be based on the season and are intended for entertainment and how-to. The videos may include hunting, fishing, truck-bed camping, overlanding, and DIY projects geared toward the same. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoy making them. See you out there...

Mines won’t even ignite :/
Stupid question but...did you remove the cardboard piece that's over the igniter? If so, check to see if the wires are loose. Or...return it!!!!! Sorry for ya.
Great video… thanks 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🍺👍
“ motors” are electrical……. Engines are internal combustion power sources used on boats.
Is the regulator threaded the same as Coleman regulators? I've heard the Magellan is threaded differently.
Don't know about Coleman but mine is...right tighty lefty loosie
Thank you for the video very informative. How long should I wait before adding another coat & how would I add tiles or vinyl flooring on top of it?
Kind of difficult for me to answer that. I live in the south...VERY HUMID HERE! With that being said, I waited about 3-4 hours between coats. It was still a tad bit tacky...not bad though. As far as flooring, I'd do the kind that snap together. They come with a mat...then flooring snaps together on top. Super easy, pretty cheap, and fast. We have vinyl wood looking flooring in our house. Love it. Hope this helped and I appreciate the view and comments. Any more questions...just ask! Take care
🤦♂️
The milage will keep improving the first 500 hrs. Love my DF40A.
I did notice (very minimally) an improvement in speed and smoothness after the 20 hour service. So happy with it!
Would have beer nice to hear the motor run. We didn’t come for elevator music.
Yeah...been getting this sort of comment a good little bit. Im going to make another video with the motor IN and OUT of water. Appreciate the comment.
Slow

Battery last 30 on 4k or 1080p ?
To be fair to the brave 7 and honest with you...I don't remember what I recorded it on. However, I do NOT remember changing the settings since I first set it up, and my "video" is set to 4k30. Hope this helped.
@@18thStateOutdoors The other review was said that lasted close to 1 hour in 2k.
I have another fishing trip coming up in July...I'll set it up (well down) to 1080p and try that. Appreciate it.
@@18thStateOutdoors Thanks
I searched for an epoxy finish for my container. All I found were products that said they were for concrete, not wood and metal. Went with varnish.
From my understanding, as long as it will seal in the chemicals, that should be good.
This video was posted on April Fools
Was it?!?!? Never noticed. Accidental awesomeness.
Greatly appreciate the review. I do a lot of camping myself. And was looking into getting a stove. Had a nasty storm last night blow thru. Tornado warnings hail, power outages. The works. 😂 had my propane latern and my apartment was the only one with light thanks to my preparedness. Just wish i had that stove to make food last night.
I've cooked a few things on it now...works VERY well!!!!!!! I love it.
I never had a Suzuki out board but a buddy had a 9.9 on his 12 ft aluminum boat. Stone reliable. I did own 2 Suzuki motorcycles. A 1981 RM100 purchased new and a 1983 GS500ES bought used. Not one single mechanical failure over the lives of each bike. Suzuki builds excellent products.
I love reading reviews like this...makes me happy to have bought mine...appreciate it.
What epoxy is that and how much is it? That looks really nice! 😁👍👍🇺🇸
First off, i appreciate that! it is Seal Krete Epoxy-Seal 1 part for concrete and garage floor. I can't remember what I paid...but it's selling for around $48 (as of 4-17-2024). Look back at around 1:36 in the video. I believe that's when I discuss it. Thanks again...hope this helps
Thanks for sharing your initial on the water start-up & break-in. I wanted a new E-TEC, or Zuke for a long time. My Rude '89 48-SPL is ticking... Maybe it's getting close to 60hp Zuke time. Enjoyed your video, keep rolling with good times on the water!!!
Appreciate it.
hey mate i am a video editor with more than 2 years of experience i specialize in both long and short form video. if you are interested then please tell me where to contact you so we can talk about it and know what you want in your videos to be added and by the way damn your son is a good ass shooter.

Quit your bitchin and man up, life and shit happens. If you think this is a big deal you prolly shouldn't be in the woods period, I'm revoking your man card
Thinking about putting one of those on an 1860 g3. Think it would be too heavy?
Motor too heavy or boat too heavy? Not sure what you mean but...either way, I would say your fine. 1860 come factory with like a 40hp. So the 75 suzuki would definitely push it. As far as the motor being too heavy, the g3 is a bigge/heavier boat than mine and my boat is fine with the 75hp on it. Hope this answers your question.
Too much dribble about irrelevant crap. Is this about Suzuki or Redbull or a pizza?
Appreciate the criticism. Buddy of mine said the same...and I agree too! I've tried to get to the point quicker in more recent vids. Thanks for the honesty!
My case also broke up at the top like yours. I used zip ties too, but now the thin part has also snapped, so it’s proper broken. Really bad quality plastic.
Yeah...mine feels like it's getting ready to break too.
Thank you for this review. I am trying to bump up my content on my channel with more off road videos and adventure in Montana. I bought the Akaso V50X and Brave 7. The V50x arrived today and was playing with it. I even uploaded a test video on YT and the quality wasn't what I hoped for. The 7 comes in tomorrow so I will do the same and see if I need to try Go Pro out. They are just so dang expensive. I might start with the Brave 7 and see if I truly need a GP. This weekend I will try them both outside for a trial trail run to see which one does better. Thoughts???
To be homest...I use both. I paid for the 7 and my buddy let's me use his GP. I like the 7 as long as YOU can control the ACTION. Here are some ex. of when I use them: While hunting, I use the 7 and turn it on a few moments before shot. GP I would use more while fishing due to its battery life. To me...the only REAL benefit to the GP is its battery life. Video quality is better as well, but not good enough for me to justify the price difference. Hope this helps...Good luck!
@@18thStateOutdoorsThank you! I will do some research into Go Pro and see if there is an older model I can buy off Amazon that fits budget and goals to test out next to the Brave 7. I am boxing back up the V50X to return tomorrow as it has not hit the marks of what I am looking for. Thank you for the quick reply and input! I am a misplaced Texan up in Montana but have done many adventures through Louisiana and miss some good 'ol shrimp étouffée. I used to stop at the Tigers Den Truck Stop and Rice Palace when traveling in and out of Louisiana on I-10 for some good hole-in-the-wall cajun chow. Beautiful country down there for sure.
Put out corn move truck back 2road walk back in seen dog in corn pile, then it walk right up to me in tree stand DAMN!
Sounds about right
Looks good!
I have a 2021 Suzuki 115 ss. Quiet, powerful, extremely fuel efficient and most importantly gets me home...Every time...
Yup! My ONLY regret so far is that I didn't buy a suzuki earlier.
Suzuki is nice motor I have 20 hp very very good
My sons 4 years old and my daughter is 8 I'm trying to get them into outdoors. I can't wait to be able to buy them a crossbow
Totally agree. I didn't really do "outdoor" stuff growing up, just sports. So, living in the south now, I want to show my kids what "outdoors" is all about. My son loves it. Good luck!!!!!!
Cool!
You feed them they’ll feed you
I didn't know that was legal.
What part?
Thats not a baited field, just asking.@@18thStateOutdoors
Check your local area, but its ok in my area
had the DF70 also, excellent engine
Sounds like my camp this past weekend. Everything that could go wrong did. Plus high winds both days. That's just how it goes sometimes.
Lol. Yup that's about it!
Nice
Appreciate it. Hopefully it will be liveable within a few months
I got the same motor, just 80 hp. yesterday. Going to break it in tomorrow. Had a 50 hp. Evinrude 4 stroke from 1998, witch was a Suzuki under the cover. Did a litle over 5000 hours with it in saltwater. Never let me down once.
dont blame u 1 bit
Bear trap in your trap
Do you have to take the mounting case off to charge the battery? I'm thinking of using is as a dashcam/action cam. Supposedly you can hook that to your cigarette lighter. Looks like a side door has to be open to do that?
Yes...i believe so. Batteries have thier own charging station. You can charge them separately or together. Unfortunately, I don't anything about the cigarette plug connector.
I'd like to think it's someone down on their luck taking advantage for a free meal . However in this day and age it's more than likely someone who cant be asked to go the normal route and earn or buy and just taking whatever they can because they can . I'd set it up a couple of times empty and see how that goes.. but I would tie the line somewhere not visible . As said earlier level a note inside your being watched ...
WTH ! No way! R.I.P. JIMMY
002. Because your reversed. But commend the spirit of it. May the salt be on the rim and the nector be flowing.
Battery life is a huge negative for me too, so far. I'm looking for a zoom option, if one exists. And for settings that might extend battery life like turnjng off audio possibly. My case broke too! Like yours in this video. Thx 4 showing the zip tie trick! Appreciate the honest review!
So cool getting all these DIY AC cooler mods in my recommends. Thanks for sharing. I built this one recently and while my version came out a bit janky, this design also works really well. th-cam.com/video/iggBHhXi96Q/w-d-xo.html
pinhead
is that trap legal?
I can speak for where I live...yes
@@18thStateOutdoors ok cool
Never ever leave your trapline in plain sight! I learned that when I was 10 yo. You'll learn!
Figured it was safe in my neighborhood. Not saying that we live in a "rich" area...but it's not the slums. Trust me...I've learned.
in many plaeis messing with someone elecs trap can get you shot at a cajun said this on dirty jobs tv show back in 1970s a man stared living blm land killing deer year round fish and wild life could not stop him but with most deer gone he stared killing cows a cowboy told him stop he pointed gun and cowboy left but the thief disappeared soon after that winter trapper found boot with foot in it cops had no real interest dont do this put game cama tell cops
Not really worth law enforcement action to me. Not unless I catch them "in the act".
55KW is a little excessive for that little boat.
That's pretty much wide open...I cruise around 5k.
Excess is better than being short
kw? noone uses kw on outboards
There’s just not enough time for the coldness in the cooler to transfer to the air flowing through the tube. I wonder if adding water to the ice would help. Theoretically the entire surface area of the tube might be colder and cool the air faster. It is a good idea though. I like the idea of using the ice without introducing humidity into the equation.
That's kinda what I figured. I was also thinking about adding salt to the ice. If I remember correctly, the salt will drop the temp of the ice as well. I still have some ti.e to play with it. Thanks for watching.
I just got the 7LE and so far so good. I need a 1/4-20 mount which I feel is way better than the cheap plastic mounts. If it did not have that threaded insert I would not have bought it. No case required. The app is quirky and the download speeds are horrible. Use a card reader to download to your phone much faster than wi-fi.
See...I don't mind the app. But download speeds, yeah...slooooowwwww
How much was the 75hp
I think I paid around $9200...I did the install to save some money too.
Just know that these cameras do not attach to Go pro accessories. I'd always heard they did, but I got the Brave 7 le yesterday, and it didn't fit the chest strap. It might just be with the le though.
Yeah I can only speak for the 7. My buddies GP accessories fit mine and vice-versa
