Lady Marmalade On guitar. Not a not for note cover by my version. Harmax SE 6V6S head with 2x10 cab. The G10N speaker was miced with a Rode M1 small bass cut and mid scoop added in post. SG with single coil under humbucker cover at the middle/neck position.

Coiltaped SG with SE 6v6s custom Harmax head and 2x10 cab. Celistion g10 vintage miced with a Rode M1 at about 6 inches from the driver. Some post eq from Logic to take out sub 150Hz and small scoop at 450Hz

Taken 2015/16 at the 8Bells in Jevington Sussex. This is a mix of some bits we remember fondly. Nick on keys singing "Fiona, Fiona" in a baritone voice still cracks me up.

Custom made pedal for my friend Adam Rose. He is in a Led Zeppelin tribute. As you can hear from my playing I am not but wanted to get a sample of this pedal in action before I let it go. My rig is not very Page-like but my 2014 SG special sounds pretty good even with stock pickups. I used a Rode M1 to mike a 1x12 peavey encore 65 with a Liberator speaker. Mesa Boogie Heartbreaker 2x12 combo with mesa speakers and valves. 6l6 power tubes on half power (60watt) mode. Switched to valve rectifier. Recorded with a stock 2014 SG special by Gibson. Demonstration of a HARMAX modification making a pedal that combines characteristics of the original Drivemaster and the marshall Bluesbreaker/ KOT pedals. It is then demoed with some backing tracks, first used as a boost for a jazz solo and then at 80% gain for some classic rock noise-monger-ing.

This guitar is quit reassuringly heavy and has great low action. My ToneKing has a WGS G12c/s speaker wgs4.com/12-g12cs-75-watts and a shorter 70's jap reverb tray. Guitar balances on a strap BTW. For sale in sussex 18/11/14 groups/55074615631/?fref=nf

really adore those vintage Washburn guitars they are my favorites has that badass style of a double cutaway Les paul mixed with SG just love those too bad guitars like this are so rare to find
Bought the simpler version of this guitar about 15 years ago, used from a guitarshop for around $170. I dont think they knew what they were selling, because that guitar sounds and plays sooooo awesome!
Bruce I'm so glad I found your video, it answers a question for me: looks like the strap button was originally on the underside of the upper horn. I have a 1979 Washburn, identical to yours except a lighter colored tobacco burst...previous owner moved the strap button to the edge of the horn which definitely makes mores sense to me...I didn't know what the hole in the underside was for. Mine also has a hole in the back below the heel of the neck, I had assumed THAT was were the strap button was originally placed. The 80ies Washburn Falcons are defitely great guitars. I owned the same model featured in this video back in the 80ies. In Germany the Falcon was an insider tipp at this time. 10 years ago I managed to buy a natual maple model on eBay. Since than it's my favourit solid body guitar. great playability and long lasting sustain due to the throug body string and neck constuction. If you have the opportunity to aquire one you should check it out. Thanks for the demo video!

Which overdrive pedal are you using here?
Paolo Rocchi - He's not using an overdrive pedal. He's just switching the channels. Either channel can be set clean or high-gain, but both have distinctly different sounds.

the wing series is a sleeper.they were making guitars BETTER than any fender-gibson at the time and you can find them for $600.00
Not an original case, as the logo typeface has changed. This case is a more modern Washburn issue..and I have ALL the Washburn Wing Series including the Scavenger and Vulture Basses, Pickups on my '81 Falcon are Seymour Duncan Classic PAF (Neck) and Pearly Gates (Bridge)
I've got an all original Washburn Eagle...i'd put it up against a Strat or Les Paul any day...and I have those too!

Cool guitar ! - How's the balance ? Is it neck-heavy with resulting neckdive when playing standing with a strap ?
larshcdk Not perfectly balanced but very close. I have had some SGs with bad dive and hated them for it. This is no prob at all. I have a 2014 SG special and thats ok as well so maybe gibson have fixed it.

jörn mauersberger Yep if I had Kept this guitar I would have changed the pickups too. But it defiantly has a great clean sound. The stiff woods give it snappy attack so would make a great country guitar with the right pickups and amp.
