@helioszxc its a HBCU and they arenot all black there are a couple of hispanics in there. the reason why white dont go to hbcu's is because they're not the best places to go to get the best education. no offense to a&t or other hbcu's. im only stating how it is

@kirbman69 actually this style was around longer than the movie drumline. where do you think they got the idea in the first place? the movie was about HBCU bands and what they do. and there is no such as a real drumline. not everyone has to do drum corps just because they're a percussionist. look up this school's actual halftime show. the drum features they do are amazing. this style has been around since the earl 1900's. learn your history son.

Na...I watched some dci videos and to "broaden my horizon" and all i really tried not to go to sleep. Ok lemme stop ...I will go credit where credit is due. I saw some pretty good field shows. @eggmaster40 yes really!! far as discipline and musicianship the so called dirty show bands have that. besides if these dci bands are so good how come they arent well known!? name me five bands quickly! and i bet they couldnt hang with FAMU,A&T ,SU,NSU,JSU. I dont see dci bands perfoming superbowls, inaguration parades, bastile day , and other major events. I will say this...they are pretty good but for gods sake dci fans always talk down to hbcu bands and then get mad when someone speaks up.

I like this and I marched DCI. DCI drumlines,'specially today, can often come across as overly technical, to "chattery", and doing nothing in relation to the music. Sometimes, I want to scream at those lines to take the sticks out of their asses and really play! Don't get me wrong, it can sometimes be very tasteful as well. If one looks at them for what they are(w/o a DCI ear/eye)these guys are fun, and shouldn't let ANY DCI snob tell them otherwise.
