I also had this happen to me too when I first started streaming on Twitch. I had one those people come in and only wanted to sell me art. I pretended to be interested in it but when I saw the artwork, I realized it was just cheap-as and I quickly turned my back on it suspecting it to be a scam like I wasted his time. I'm lucky to not see any of them nowdays, but it's not just on Twitch though, I had one who jumped into my YT chat and did the same thing. But for now, I just politely decline them and he left. If they get pushy, they'll get the ban hammer. Thanks for the video and warning us about those scammers.

Thanks for making this video! I had the same thing happen to me today and they asked for my discord to show me "their" art, thankfully I had another viewer tell me about these scams and I went ahead and blocked that scammer on discord, the scammer said they could make some art or something for my channel. Stay away from those scammers.

Maybe worth using a heat-sealer instead of soldering iron?

I stream very rarely and not popular games at that, and playing get to work recently I had been first exposed to this in 2 streams, there was only one, but I cottoned on to it because 2 of the bots had the same name with a different symbol 😂 They started chatting to one of my mods trying to get them to contact on discord, so even chatters can be susceptible to this.

Also on Twitter now X and other social media sites there will be accounts with 0 posts or tweets that will send you links to fake website that will hack you, luckily I don’t put bank stuff on my Ipad or computer, it has happened to me when I use to be on Twitter years ago, I had to change my password.

Yes Alibre, I also recommend it. I know this company back in 2008. I'm currently running version 23 of Alibre Design (release in 2021) and intend to upgrade my license to version 28 because of the many new feathers that has been added since version 23. There are some feather that I would like to see in the mid-range and this is the Versioning and Rollback, but it's only available in Alibre Design Expert, the higher end of there product range. I did try Onshape, which I found spectacular and even did pay for a yearly subscriptions but they price for an amateur like me could not justify 1000$/year. I then tried Fusion 360 and also like it very much and again, paid for the monthly fees. Again, when back to my good old Alibre again because of there is no subscription, you pay for it, you own it. However, I do miss the Onshape and Fusion 360 philosophy on how to create parts and assemble them. I also tried and tried FreeCAD but never was able to grasp it even work very much like Alibre. However, with the release candidate 1.0.0, it seems easier to understand. Alibre is a powerful 3D CAD software and should not be ignored.

ive had it a lot so far. ive recently picked up streaming a few days ago and so far over two streams ive already had 3 different "artists" come in, butter me up and try and sell me channel art. i almost fell for the first one but luckily i got enough red flags before i got too far and i stopped talking to them

These guys also run the same scam on discord and will target people with art in their pfp. It’s always funny getting these messages asking if I'll buy their art and how I need a new pfp/emotes. (I’m an artist and make my own stuff but they still try to tell me I need new ones it’s very funny)

I use primarily OpenSCAD and some FreeCAD 1.0 depending on the project. Well worth going through the learning curves.

Just started streaming.. Is there ANY way to get rid of them? More than ban them individually as they join? I've never had a real viewer and I'm suspended of everyone now. I dont mind 0 viewers but i do mind when I'm trying to be nice and all I get is "I'm an artist, I'll help you". 😩 I want to be polite and friendly and it really doesn't come naturally to ban everyone talking to me 😅

Bambu filament just works far as printing goes... But, it has to be mentioned there is problems with refill being tangled , use of duck tape on end that jam AMS, their disregard for shipping times and availability.

I had encountered multiple people like that in my stream yesterday. One of them asked me about my progression on my followers, and they claimed that I can get a view and subscribe boost by paying $55 to an account on paypal, so that I can access to a VIP pass thing, where it will help me promote my channel. They called it a BAR tokken or something.

Had one duting an overwatch stream, tried to get em to fuvk off, they persisted. Yold em no again and that id seek that if i did want it not to drop my stream just for it. Then a second viewer comes in trying to explain how they see it that if i get a better banner and more intresting art in general i may attract mote views. I then say something like thats stupid and i dont want that. The second viewer then insists i add their discord 3 times. I end stream 10 min later. Brother i made my own pfp abd banner its stinky to "explain" why i "could use a better one" and also im just streaming mindless junker queen gaming to 1 friend not trying to be the next beast

Looking at the feature list, it seems that you have to get the $600 mid-tier version of Alibre to not lose even the stuff that I'd consider basic CAD stuff.

I would recommend trying again with FreeCAD version 1.0 which was released recently. It's not perfect but it got to level where I find it usable when I already knew Blender, Fusion360 and Onshape. I think you should still see some tutorial about the version 1.0 UI because it's different from other 3D software but at least there's some sanity now.

yup my friend just had 3 come into stream last night asking him to listen to their music. all profiles had just been made yesterday, and they were sending links. the chat rules blatantly say “NO REQUESTS” never ever click links from randoms!!

Thanks for the great video! I've been looking for a CAD app that didn't drive me totally crazy just figuring out how to grab edges or make a cube. Hadn't found it until watching your video. Tried Alibre tutorials, worked, and now I am subscribing, to make sure I like it before I shell out the rest of the permanent price. Thanks again!

Hey, great idea. One advice, if I may - When you open workshop page, you are greeted with three big green dollar signs and no models in sight. Average user will see those and click off and wont scroll down. My first thought was - oh, paid content without reading text. When the page is dedicated to practice models, practice models should be front and center. Make a big buttons like "Tutorial" and "About" above the models that will display same text in a popup for example. But make models front and center. Wishing you the best!

I have to admit. I was a bit shocked to see that as well. There were so many other ways to support TTT that I didn't expect this to ever happen. And I really did like Toby's drawings with that signature "dimension missing, oh no there it is", but I don't know that I agree to this

Freecad 1.0 release candidate: #1 Offset extrusion, Just offset the sketch placement the number of mm you want to skip before the pocket begins. #2 Offset geometry constraints, Just check the box to constrain the offset geometry. #3 Multiple parts Each part is already separate in the tree view. Drag one into a new body if you like. #4 multiple extrusions per sketch. Yep. Just click on the element in the sketch to pad or pocket it. Click another element, repeat. #5 Threads. The hole operation already has most metric and US standard threads available, just pick one. Exterior threads on a cylinder can be booleaned from a hole or done with a helix. FreeCad has gotten much easier in the release candidate. Auto constraints and auto remove redundant constraints makes sketch sooooo much easier and faster.

I can tell it’s an art scammer based on the initial greeting and the screen name. A lot of “heya” “hiya” and similar bullshit, and they always use American sounding female names (even though I would bet money 99% are Indian young men). These people are destroying the reputation of their fellow countrymen, and it is pathetic and shameful. None of them are artists, btw. If you made the mistake of hiring them, I’d be shocked if you even got anything in return for your money. They’re almost certainly just scammers who will show you stolen artwork as their “proof” of their skills.

Windows 11 search is linked to Bing you say? And? Lol. What a non-issue. First world problems. More like NON PROBLEMS duh. Hello? It's a Microsoft OS. So of course they are going to prioritize their search. So what. Are you not an adult? Just open your browser and use Google search or whatever other search engine you prefer. I use Windows 11 and amost never use the Windows search bar lol. Why would I? I use browsers to search like a normal person.

Damn, even myself I'm near to lose my temper with these scammers, both on Twitch and Discord. I'm really getting frustrated that even Sery_Bot does absolutely nothing for those scambots, not to forget how repetitive they get, plus after banning existing ones is not deducted from your followers list which bothers me even more "Are majority of my followers bots?" I really hate those bots, as much as you do.

I just found the time to sit down and watch it. We sure tooka beating in that "Swoopy, Lofty Part"... But I think we persevered, and we showed some alternative techniques, despite the slight lag I had. All in all, I quite enjoyed that. Let's do it again, and next year we can get even more money for the Hospitals. We could even do an AMA on Mechanical Engineering and Design!

If you didn't mention the heavy blinking I wouldn't have noticed. As a general advice: Don't ask for forgiveness for all the small things. Nobody's gonna notice anyway and it's not a deal at all. Nobody is saying "I'm never watching his videos again, he was blinking too much!" followed by a "Ooooh, it's because of his lack of sleep, I'll let it slip this time". Your content speaks for yourself, not your blinking.

it just happened to me while i was streaming fallout, 2 of them kept asking for it, the one i let add me on discord but when they showed me their art, the watermarks were showing and also, by reverse image searching, all, i MEAN ALL OF IT was stolen off of twitter,deviant art and like pintrest,the other half was only ai username art . at this point i should go to kick

I know a tiny streamer who gets invaded by these, i once told them:"Woah, its full of bots trying to sell art" and one of the scammers insulted me acting like a 5yo

Happened for quite a while on Discord, people joining art learning servers mostly and Dming people there with the usual. "Hey, How are you?!" "Oh, actuall I'm aan artist and currently urgently need commissions!" etc Luckily seemed to die down a bit lately

Agree with all of these, especially the unconstrained offset is a pretty big omission in Alibre, this would be upsetting to anyone who is experienced in Solidworks or whatever.

I just had my first ones today i am really new to streaming And they were like really nice to me and said yeah i can messege you on insta i gave them the account as it was the same as the twitch name and someone came aswell on twitch wich is weird cuss i stream with 0 streamers and then i was like ok thats sus then the other guy was like yeah i can do you art for free and i was like sure but then on insta he was saying yeah you can buy these and then i blocked them
