Yes you are 100% correct, use common sense... Buy a dry wall lift. There I used my common sense. It seems that common sense is not so common. What that man in this video needs is to buy the correct tools for the job. I give it a thumb down.
Seems to be VERY time consuming considering how "in the US" you can get a drywall jack from harbor freight for like $100-$150 and be twice as fast as this and can still tweak the board into the perfect position after getting it up there.
What about ceilings slightly too high for drywall lift
$150 for a tool that I will only use once every 70 years. LMFAO. I'm a vampire so I will live to be 5,000 years old. Off to harbor freight i go.

How do you get the clamps off once it’s screwed down??
That's not a full sheet where I come from. 4'x12' is a full sheet

Very simple, just slacken the thumbscrews and slide them off. It is so obvious and easy
Sorry, I forgot to mention. The idea of the ceiling board hangers is for one person to be able to get a full 8' x 4' x 1/2" sheet of board up and sited on the joists with the minimum of effort and time reducing labour costs and possible long term bodily injury. When the board is up and in place, it is merely a matter of securing the board about 3/4 of the way along the joists, slackening the thumbscrews, just ease the board down and the clamps slide off easily. If the board is precut to the correct dimensions, then it will finish half way across the joist ready for the next board. All our kits come with full fitting instructions and we have many many satisfied customers all over the world. As regards slow, all I would say is try fitting a board by yourself with or without a set. I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Why do none of these videos show how the clamps are removed when the board is up? Doesnt look like you can screw it into place with the clamps on, somehow you have to remove them while holding the board down so you can get the clamps off?
+Sphynk Thanks for your question. The removal of the clamps is simple - swing the board up to the ceiling and support it with a "T" bar as shown in the videos, the clamps will be at the opposite end to the "T" bar. You then start screwing the board to the joists and when you reach half way (or further along) the board will be secure and not go anywhere. At that point, slacken the clamps off, gently ease the end of the board down and slide them off.
I want to see the clamps come off after screwing it in, see how you butt up two boards, space it between the wall and middle of the ceiling, and really needs a guide bar that connects the two so you don't have to keep measuring it before clipping them on.
@@moderngeek7911 I feel sorry for him, in one video 6 year ago he's still in the same room, it's this room, £50 to buy, plasterboard hoist is like £80 off eBay, this can't work coz you can't get the centre's. What happens when you got your last full board, ummmmm
