Not much too it really. Rip out all the crusty dusty loom, electrical tape, and dirt all in between then replace with something new.

Naming off just a few of the main differences between the 7.3 IDI and 7.3 Powerstroke motor.. aside from the obvious, being that the IDI stands for in-direct injection while the PSD (powerstroke) is direct injection. How many other differences can you name?

You already know
It’s honestly easier to remove the entirety of the engine harness, repair/replace worn out components, then reinstall it. These old trucks are so simple there’s really nothing you can’t do in a reasonable time. 8 glow plugs, the glow plug controller, 1 oil pressure switch, 1 coolant temp switch, 2 coolant temp sensors, alternator charge and remote sense wire, A/C compressor coil pigtail, then the tach wire on the IP gear housing, and the hi idle/fuel shutdown/timing advance wires. I wouldn’t say remove repair and reinstall all within one hour but definitely not more than three if all were functional when you went in there.

@@73queen yeah 2.5 feet of water in my house. Freaking messes of all messes. Thank you 🙏🏽 I live on a canal on the manatee river. We moved 4 vehicles to higher ground. I moved my 6.7 last. Water was up to the running boards and I walked back to my house in waist deep water along my neighborhood streets. 😝
Use a 12mm closed end wrench with a flat head in the middle n slide it and the wires will be in the loom in seconds

lol. This reminds me of the time I had to install the fuel pump on my 54 bel air. Nope. Took us 2 hours. The points on my cousins 51 merc. Oh lord that took a bit too. Nothing would start that car or keep it running. Took us weeks to figure it out.

@@73queen That remark came from the fact that when I first saw 2 or 3 of your videos maybe 4 never saw you're a legs in 'emin the beginning of a video when you see a photograph of you there's the legs like when you are sitting on your bet of your truck or darling's drooling certain things you would see your lower half but watching the video It seemed like the lower half disappeared so it seems like some of that happens I haven't seen probably all your videos but the ones I have seen that's why I made that remark But at the same time it was also accompaniment too but yeah there seems to be times where girls mate videos working on something and they're doing more close subs of stuff then yeah so sorry but it turns me on At the same time that a woman works on a vehicle like that and everything dad also does too
