Island Hopping ✈️ HNL 🔜 LIH - Kauai, Hawaii 🏖️
After arriving in HNL from my redeye flight from PPG (Pago Pago, American Samoa)…I quickly hopped on a commuter flight with Hawaiian Airlines over to LIH, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii.
Next I was spending 3.5 days on the beautiful island of Kauai.
First, I stopped off for some much needed breakfast at the Tip Top Motel Cafe, a restaurant/diner recommended to me by my mom’s friend.
I got a Denver Omelette which was ham, onions and green peppers. The total was just under $23 including tax and tip.
After fueling up, I looked around for some little nicknack souvenirs like keychains, magnets and postcards as memories of Kauai. This was difficult as I couldn’t find many souvenir stores that catered to these types of items.
And while at Island Treats and Gift Shop, I got
Myself a bubblegum shaved ice for $10. It was okay, but reflecting back it needed much more syrup to make it more flavorful.
I checked out ABC Stores next to Island Treats and unfortunately found nothing there.
Lastly, I tried Gift of Kauai and bought 4 postcards for $5. I guess I’ll take what I could get.
Had to make a stop at Walmart because I had nowhere to sleep! Yes it’s true, lol. Since lodging was so expensive in Kauai, (and btw, they didn’t even offer hostels), I decided to camp out on the island. And so Walmart was ideal for buying a 1 person tent for $33, 2 pillows for $10 and a blanket for $16. That’s a great deal for sleeping outdoors underneath the stars.
Best and most important of all was one of the campgrounds had showers available.
Lol, so Walmart turned out to be a success.
Continuing on…
I needed to stop at the Kauai Visitors Bureau to ask some last minute questions about the sights and attractions I was exploring. The lady inside was helpful and got me on the right track for what I wanted to accomplish while here.
Finally, it was onto some sightseeing. First up was Wailua Falls, a quick roadside stop to witness two side by side cascading waterfalls. It was okay for 15 minutes and then it was time to move on to the next activity, which was hiking…
Located about 15 miles outside downtown Lihue, I spent the last portion of my first day in Kauai on Maha’ulepu Heritage Trail that offered some terrific glances of the island’s coastline. The surroundings were colorful with tones of orange and green and really got me into the Hawaiian spirit.
And that’s all from my day traveling from Honolulu to Kauai and the days activities. I spent a few more days in Kauai which I did Vlog about and will come out in future dates.
Thanks for coming along in this one. Appreciate ya’ll

Salt Creek Falls and Diamond Creek Falls 💦 - Central Oregon

Salt Creek Falls and Diamond Creek Falls are the perfect pairing of waterfalls, located right off Highway 58 and 65 miles southeast of the city of Eugene in the middle of Oregon. It's a $5 day use fee. I visited on Labor Day Monday, and it wasn't so busy. Once you park, Salt Creek Falls is off to the right-hand side but...Diamond Creek Falls is situated towards the left-hand side. So...I'd sugg...

I was scrolling and youtube reccomended your channel to me 😄
That’s what I like to hear 😉
Absolutely gorgeous short
Thank you Ervin appreciate it 👍
WARIO
I think the video of an 8 year old driving a car on your other video is quite disturbing very insane
I saw your old video of your 6 years old son driving? He too young to drive I don’t want him to crash or have car accidents Not trying to be rude tho
That's none of your business
2:10 I can see my license plate! just under Jan Lake.
Nice glad I passed beside it and it’s still there, lol. Where is Jan Lake? Have a good one
I love this!!! Potatoes are delicious!!!!
Appreciate it thanks ☺️. Hope you get the chance to visit :)
Hey I have a question, how is ur son driving a car? Isn’t illegal is there an area with no police?
He’s just sitting on his mom’s lap
@ very good bro!!! 😎
🔥
Appreciate it mochi ☺️
Beautiful
Appreciate it
The view from behind the water is really cool 😎
Thanks! Yeah not often you can walk underneath waterfalls. They’re few and far between. But, got lucky with this one ☺️
You found me bruh😭
Fun fact: the bass pro shops pyramid is the 8th largest pyramid in the world
Wow really? I figured there’d be a bunch in Egypt that are bigger, but great stat! Thanks for the knowledge 👍
Beautiful rose's! I love flowers.
Thanks Joy 🤗
Love the Moab area. It’s not just beautiful. The people are nice too. At least they were when I visited.
Yes I agree. I had a great time visiting. Incredible explorations out there. I’m ready to return, lol. Thanks Kimberly 😊
@ are you home yet?
I was there just a few weeks ago
Hope you enjoyed your visit Allen
do you know lazarbeam
Why are you talking like that bro
To provide as much detail as possible about the experience
@ fair point
Looks like you’re in your element there. 😊
Thanks! Yes, I was inspired by the views 😁
algorithm brought me here - thanks for enjoying the state, you probably drove right by Silver Creek Falls State Park; check out the "Trail of Ten Falls" on your way back to Portland.
Ah thanks Russell. Yes I’ve hiked Trail of Ten Falls. It’s terrific, some fantastic waterfall views there. Appreciate the reply. If you have more waterfall suggestions around Oregon, I’d be happy to hear them in case I missed any
@@SethAugust Don't know what you've hiked so I can't really recommend something you haven't, I checked the channel for a Silver Falls hike and must have missed it is the only reason I suggested, especially when you said you were out in Scotts Mills.
@russellzauner was just curious of some of your favorite waterfall visits in Oregon. I like to hear other peoples perspectives
I don’t know much about Colorado weather to be honest. What’s the best time frame in your opinion to tackle this hike? Would love to try this one day. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks for the kind words. I think you can attempt it any time of the year. I came in late June in the afternoon at 4pm. It wasn’t busy and there was enough space between hikers. I liked the afternoon because the sun’s at your back which made for photogenic moments from high above. You make a reservation at manitousprings.org, though when I arrived, no one was monitoring the entrance. Have a good time when you go!
Bye big island... I'm gonna miss the island but not the people . Mommy & Daddy I'll be back soon
Beautiful scenic views!! Wow! 😮
Lovely Seth! You capture so many lovely sights in your videos! Thanks for sharing them all. 😊
Nice falls!
Thanks Joy I appreciate your kind comments ☺️
Wow!
So Pretty!
Thank you!
Wow Nice!
Pretty Cool 👍 👍
Thanks for taking a moment to watch 🙌
I was just at Farmwalds Dutch Restaurant, the place has good food, and the cheese blocks and fresh Jalapeño cheese bread is so good. Next time I stay at the truck stop I'm checking out the zoo.
Ah nice. Thanks for the Farmwalds Dutch Restaurant suggestion. I’ll have to try some cheese blocks and jalapeño cheese bread next time! Hope you enjoy the visit to the zoo. The kangaroos were awesome
👍🏾 awesome!
Thanks for taking a moment to watch ☺️
Nice video! Thanks!
Appreciate it Randy. Thanks for taking a moment to watch ☺️
That is a beautiful place. It looks like Arizona, Utah and New Mexico there. I like going out there 🙂 I didn't know the names of those mountains thanks for sharing that. Great video !!!
Ah appreciate the reply. Yeah it was a pleasant surprise. Didn’t know Oklahoma offered scenery like that, lol. Glad to hear you’ve been there as well. Thanks for the kind words 👍
St. Maarten to the world.
Yeah St. Maarten is beautiful 🏖️
he giveth so much of himself
I agree, one of the best towards the fans ✍️🤳
Unless a deer or a bear drops a nail you wont find any nails on those roads buddy
You’re right. I was way too dismissive. Being on gravel roads, being prepared w/ bear spray and embracing remote conditions out west is what makes the great outdoors so liberating. Thanks for the reminder, I appreciate it
Did you find your glider down below?
There were kids collecting them at the bottom, so they took mine. But I did buy an extra one as a souvenir, you can have it Kimberly 😊. Btw thanks for watching. Hope ur well
Learn how to pronounce Knik properly.....
I did make it to Gooseberry Falls in Minnesota but I can see there is a whole lot more going north.
Yeah it’s the whole North Shore Drive area has plenty of state parks with more waterfalls and hikes. It’s really a terrific part of the state to explore right up to the border with Canada
@@SethAugust I wish I had more time to explore it. I did get to visit Pattison State Park on the Wisconsin side that was worth it.
@dvferyance never heard of Pattison SP. I’ll have to put that on my to-do list. Thanks for the suggestion. I hear ya, hope you find some time to explore more when you can
@@SethAugust it's just outside Superior it has the tallest waterfall in Wisconsin.
Wow, tallest waterfall in Wisconsin? Then I definitely have to visit 👍. Thanks for the knowledge, always looking to discover hidden gems
Cool
Thanks Flex 👍
I thought this looked familiar so looked through my photos to see. Yep! 😁 Flew down the Dutchman on March 20,2018. Beautiful views from up there. The employees were all super nice too.
Amazing you did it in 2018! Would love to see the photos. Yeah scenic views from high above, but honestly…I chickened out on the Dutchman 😬 🤦♂️
I bet that water is cold. 🥶
Kimberly, it was so cold 🥶 . But I had to do it, because it just came with the experience of being down at the falls. At first it stung…but then you adjust 😁
😊the llamas are so cute!! Looks like you had a nice time with them.
Thanks! It was a great time. My llama, Lafayette, was just fine strolling along. He was so gentle. I miss him already 🥹
@Dumbtt2nd thank you for the kind reply. I appreciate that! Unfortunately they’re no longer allowing me to do these videos anymore. And I had great ideas for more content. Guess it just wasn’t meant to be. Sorry 🤷♂️
$58 USD for a 10 min ride sounds pretty crazy. Gondolas in Alaska were cheaper I believe and even cheaper if booked thru a cruise. Just my 2 cents!
Yeah I hear ya, it’s the whole Vancouver area that’s expensive. It’s similar prices at Capilano Suspension Bridge and Sea to Sky Gondola just north of Vancouver in Squamish
Saved us about $200, thanks
Yeah thanks for the reply. I didn’t enjoy the visit, but I believe hiking Grouse Grind to the top would have been a memorable experience at much cheaper cost
It's a nameless hole not an arch with a name because it's under 100' across. Morning glory arch is my favorite hike above all, and the arch is crazy long and the end of it has a tiny waterfall. Arches are just the beginning. All the glyphs made by Hopi indians around 700ad are a must see as well. Newspaper rock is my favorite which may be a star chart for Sirius. The north rim of the canyon has tons of drill holes so bring a giger counter. The aliens the Hopi painted came around there the same exact time thousands of witnesses reported an alien ship landing in Borobudur, Indonesia. The temple there is a stone copy of that ship built to scale. They traveled in a globe shaped ship covered in small spheres to Moab where they found radium to mine. What they left behind was later found by mankind and they started a uranium mine because of it there. You're not far from a few places where H.R.Geiger's family took photos inside the park which later became inspiration for some of his paintings, such as Concept drawing by H.R. Giger for Alejandro Jodorowsky's unrealized DUNE. Circa 1975 , and others. From Window Arch, look at the pillar visible also from the parking lot. You'll see from there it looks like one of his paintings. A lady sitting, looking up, screaming. Once I was there it was impossible to unsee. The pillar is so much like the painting
How many hrs going up and down? All in all?
It was all day. Especially at the lake I went swimming, picture taking and hanging out. The hike was a grind up and down, but I was in no rush
Make sure you don’t hike in the middle of the day when it’s super hot and bring lots of water with you. People die here while hiking because they don’t come prepared and use common sense.
This is one of the easy hikes in Moab. Also Corona Arch is perfect shape!!
