Let’s be realistic. Mosab Hasan was an informant for Israeli forces, getting Hamas soldiers arrested. He is dealing the cards he was dealt. He was in an Israeli prison for 27 months at 18 years old. Was he tortured? Was he brainwashed/ bribed? “My freedom is the most important thing I have”. Palestinians don’t have his freedoms though, do they. He is regarded as a traitor by his own people who don’t even have regular water in Gaza. (He can choose whichever religion he wants. That’s not treachery of any kind. But informing on people who are resisting an illegal occupation does seem wrong to me) So, he needs to make the best of a bad situation for HIMSELF by supporting Israel. He is eloquent, which is great. Jobs in Gaza?...Sure but how exactly will that go? Will the companies take advantage of Palestinians by providing much lower wages than should be the case? Will the companies be based in Israel, so as to fund the IDF even more? Yes, there are good people in Israel.
