With a tarp and one of those rain barrels, you could easily capture 50 gals of rainwater unattended. I try and try to tell people to read books and watch videos to learn these things. I built my cabin, did all the solar and now ran all the electric to my property with zero experience. Just being willing to learn and try. Keep enjoying yourselves.

What you going to make with them?

I decided on the 5 gallon Coleman. Fits in my car better and feels better made. It's on sale at Kroger now for $13.99.

A wagon or sled would save your back. Looks like a weed Wacker would make clearing your area easier.

Ever considered plastic barrels to capture rain? Few drops of bleach, and you could use for showering and dishes.

That’s a great idea for a ground blind! Are you going to put anything outside of the pallets to camouflage them?

I been thinking.. 😅 About spraying a tent with lacquer with a HVLP gun. Not to water proof it but to make it hard. Then hay bale the walls and put the roof on the bales. Kind of a progression of sorts.

Heat baked beans in it. Add meat.

You're getting really good use out of those tents! When you're set up in the same place for a whole season, the installation becomes more of a lodge than just a big tent. I've no idea how big the anticipated cabin will be. The way you're talking, it's going to at least match the square footage of your tent setup. Looking forward to your cabin setup.

Thanks for the review, I have two of these coming to me soon from Amazon, they are currently as of 2024 priced at $14.97, +tax of course. They are the cheapest I’ve seen of similar sized bulk water containers, and being 7 gallons instead of the typical 5 gallons, I figured I’d give them a shot
