Godfrey and champion gundyr are so badass, probably the most aggressive boss in their games for their 2nd stage, and they do so without any magic, any summons, any other worldly powers. They do it with sheer fucking brawn

I like to think this part of the theme is meant to capture the majesty of the of the ancient dragons flying upon Lyndell and the terrible might of the storm they wield

it’s super weird how this part of the song has Regal Ancestor Spirit motifs (the bongos, flutes and the violin part are very similar) yet godfrey doesn’t have anything to do with that

I like that everytime the music goes up i hear a "GODFREY" There's no lyrics but i can still hear them.

The way this fight goes from an honourable duel between two champions to a visceral race to the finish line is just amazing, this is probably one of the best fights FromSoft has done ever.

I just noticed today while fighting him, when Hoarax Loux kills you, he inmediatly rips you apart, without a single little doubt, he's a warrior and as such, he's full of determination. Yeah, he's honorable as hell, but he will not hesitetate even for a second when dealing you a mortal blow or kill you violently. He's such a great warrior.

This part 1:20 is very crazy

Once the second phase kicks in, you aren't fighting an Elden Lord anymore.. you're fighting a Fellow Tarnished Warrior and he WILL reclaim the throne if you do not stop him. It's a battle to see who gets the right to stand before Marika and obtain the Elden Ring.
