Hmm I think I’ve been putting my washers on upside down
I think technically they are supposed to go on the other way but I find putting them on the way I do works better and I have more control on how far I can push them toward the back of the project. 🙂
@celticknotcrochet I had to put cone shape towards the yarn because, for some reason, the flat side did not attach.
@@vickym7570 Hmmm, wonder why - maybe it's how your safety eyes are made. Hope it still looks good in your project! 🙂

Such an eye-catching scarf! I love Celtic knotwork! I recently purchased a crochet hook set to teach myself how to crochet. Your instructional video and teaching style are so easy to follow. This may be my debut crochet project. ❤️

I can’t wait to make this. I’m new to crocheting and I am decent at making single stitches and making little bags but I want to make something like this so bad. Your instructions are very clear so I’m hoping to try this out this week! ❤ also the use of the little cake stand is brilliant! 🤌

Just a heads up for the following States. According to the Vehicle Codes of California, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania, it is illegal to hang objects such as air fresheners on a rearview mirror because it is considered to be a visual obstruction. In fact, other popular and sentimental items such as rosemary beads, fuzzy dice, graduation tassels, and even handicap placards fit into this category and are considered to be an obstruction of view when the vehicle is in motion.
Thank you for the info - I did not know it was illegal in some states. I guess anyone from those states would either make this as a bookmark or wall decoration for the home. 🙂
Thank you SO MUCH!! This was great idea and it worked perfectly! I will use this on all of my projects!! ☺
Wonderful! So glad to hear this worked for you! 🙂
For beginners of this stitch you must demonstrate at least two rows and for hats, how and how much to increase
This stitch tutorial was mainly made to go with a shawl project that was published in Crochet World - in that project the bullion stitch is only used for one round in a small circle motif. You could add this stitch in between dc's of a basic hat pattern with the standard increasing methods. 🙂
Thanks for the tip with the acrylic frame, I have immediately ordered some for my music sheets. Also I have ordered the organizer. As for the hook number, I add as many stitch markers at the bottom as the number is, e.g. 4 markers for hook number 4. For 1/2 I add a metal marker, you can also use a safety pin.
You are welcome for the tips - so glad to hear they are helpful! Love your tip about the stitch markers at the bottom of your project - great idea. 🙂
@@celticknotcrochet Thank you. I have another tip, maybe it is actually not one because everone does so. When I undo a larger piece and reuse the yarn, I do not unravel and make a yarn ball. I work directly from the already crocheted piece avoiding tangling the yarn and saving time. Unless you have a gradient yarn and want a specific order of color.
I don't weave in the beginning tail, I crochet it in! Plus it's only about 3 inches long. The ends I use a (smaller) hook to pull the yarn through a few stitches in either direction.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Beautiful 😍
Thank you! 🙂
I love this pattern. Thank you! I also love this way of doing cables, I have many ideas now for other things. I am going to create a pattern for a bag as my one is already falling apart so this time I am going to crochet my own. Is there a way to donate to you as a thank you? Thanks again! :)

You are welcome! Happy creating! 🙂
Its that ok if not mix with water?
Yes! This will make your project stiffer quicker - I often do not use water especially when I am in a rush. Just stiffener or white glue straight from the bottle 🙂
Great instruction I am new to this craft and I was able to make something that actually resembles a pumpkin! Thank you
Wonderful! Glad to hear it - hope you enjoy crochet for many years to come! 🙂
❤Thank you. You made it very easy. I have not done a bullion stitch before. I was wondering if you happened to have a video of making the whole shawl. I really want to make this shawl. I do consider myself an intermediate crocheter but I am just not getting the attaching part. Thnak you.
Hello! Glad to hear this video is easy to understand for the bullion stitch. Unfortunately, I do not have a video on this project because it was made only for a magazine. It is a very complicated project. My advice would be to study the photos and lay out your motifs to match the photo. For joining you might have an easier time making up your own chain-lengths to put it all together instead of trying to follow the pattern for every step of joining. Hope this helps - 🙂
I use a stitch holder to all of my motives are such together
Great idea! Stitch markers are so handy for many things! 🙂
Many thanks, I'm a beginner and just getting the hang of reading patterns - your tips to keep track of your progress are great, thx for making this video 🌹🌹🌹
