Chris I think its time to build a gaming rig.
Only the Apple Magic Keyboard or a MacBook keyboard is supported on VisionOS passthrough. If you're using a 3rd party keyboard, it won't be recognized for the passthrough unfortunately. I don't think the Magic Trackpad is supported either.
Perfect timing! Just sat down at my desk with my coffee. Time for some comfort zone ;-)
NOICE!!
Any latency issues with the G8+ for games like COD or otherwise?
John, thanks for the video companion to your article. Always love your content. Have fun in Vegas! Be safe.
Really good sling bag, I wanna one but I’m not sure fit my Steam Deck with MacBook and iPad or not ! Have a great day
It fits. I have a Steam Deck and tried it. There's room for it even if the Steam Deck is in its own case. - John
@ Thanks 🙏

Hey HOTY!
No, you're the HOTY
How to fix vibration not working when playing games on iPhone with the gamesir G8plus controller
The product video on the astropad website is completely ridiculous with the boings and such.
What a wonderful way to end the year! See you all in 2025! (and it is cold here in California.)
This would be perfect if Astropad added turn page buttons in the Bookcase frame
Appreciate this vid and review of this charger! Question, please. Is the standstone more beige or gray? Thank you!
It's more of a very light gray color. - John
I appreciate that you took seriously a comment about rearranging videos so that you are all looking towards each other ❤️

Didn’t think there could be a better “king cable” 👑🇮🇹
Hello! I got mine yesterday and I’m curious if there’s a quick way to go between iPad mini and iPhone? So far I’ve had to put the device into pairing mode, have it forget the device, and reconnect as new each time. Not a big deal.. but also not a smooth transition. Curious if you are aware of any better solution with the device? Thanks!
Unfortunately, there's not much you can do than go through the pairing dance when switching devices. - John
@@MacStories09 Thanks for the Response!
I feel like the main reason high-quality native apps are not a thing is that, put simply, native apps kinda suck to build. Their APIs are hard, change often, the distribution method is often controlled (or under constant threat of being controlled) by Apple/Microsoft/Google, and, well, they're not universal. The web is universal, more welcoming to devs, it's easier to find support when developing, has multiple parties dictating its standards, and they make it possible to realistically use smaller platforms like Linux on desktop since they are universal. Native apps don't offer as much control to the user as to where they're used. Sure, you can say that a lot of web apps have abysmal quality and/or performance, but there's also many that are really good. Rushed development is an industry-wide trend and honestly even Apple is a great example that native does NOT mean quality.
(I wrote all this before I heard Niléane's comment, and she wins again because she agrees with me, plus she blamed capitalism which is always true)
Matt didnt get the memo to wear a Star Wars sweatshirt lol
Matt doesn’t get a lot of memos. 😜
Such a meanie
what theme do you use for obsidian?
Usually Minimal, but I like Border too. - John
I need a whole Mac Mini video series from Chris. Please and Thanks
I have a what???
Love that you guys are doing video, but it seems like the sync is a bit off. Federico is replying to things John hasn't said yet.
Thanks, we'll look into this
the steam deck is so pretty!
Totally random thought, but if Brendan was in the middle, John on the left, and Ticci on the right, it would kind of look like you are all facing each other 🤷♂
53:48 Bandcamp once a month gives all monies from a sale to the artist/s. Also a big fan of their ‘pay what you want’ as often like to give a bit more… as download one version for to play on Mac (thru iTunes😂) and another for my Astell&Kern player (hi-end audio through the hi-fi speaker). Related… Fav native Apple app: Shazam (since they bought it in 2018) has become a treat to music discovery. Appreciate you legends are having short days, while here the longer ones here means hours of staying outdoors avoiding too much work.

First Daft Punk and now Poutine? Chris has made our entire country his enemy. Now I know where to go if I want bad opinions 😂
Gravy on fries is an abomination!
So, this one time at bandcamp.
The Activities Overview in GNOME is really the best!
steam machines failed. maybe for the next refresh of the deck and after the deckard. valve is really picky about the hardware they make now
Matt needs a color blind test!
Now i wanna go to Paris and get some proper croissants
The struggle is real. We don’t have much devices that are both pocketable with high performance, so I’ve been stuck between the O2M vs RP5 for over a week.
First!
Second! I also had to do the iMac hard drive replacement (although I bought a suction cup thing rather than…your alternative 😂). When I put the glass back on, I full on cracked the corner of the glass 🙃. I still have it somewhere
Also: Viticci: It's not like I can fill my apartment with video game boxes Robb: :awkward-monkey:
Is the Raycast Calendar plugin not enough for showing events in the menu bar? I’ve been using it for a bit and also the quick “schedule” command to check the rest of the day. Works pretty well and it’s even faster then checking the widget in the Notification Center 😅
For dealing with cookie notices I much prefer using Super Agent which actually interacts with them on your behalf (using settings you set) instead of blocking them.
Matt's app icon is so peach and not orange. Nileane wins again I think.
Wipr is my favourite adblocker for Safari on Mac/iOS. It's universal so single purchase covers all Apple platforms.
First, I need to start with a question. 😜
AI on device or off device will surely depend on the device? I'm guessing an M4 with 16GB RAM is going to be a lot more capable than an M1 with 8GB. I'd expect the M1 to make more use of the Apple cloud servers.
I honestly thought this was gonna be some kind of music playlist pizzeria themed but this podcast was actually fun to listen to! Awesome
I’m happy to see the move into video. A suggestion: give some thought to how you are positioning the cameras. For example, in this video it’s awkward seeing John face one direction and Federico face an opposite direction. Consider having everyone face the camera like Brendon does when you are doing these 3 talking head format video podcasts.
Who’s that handsome devil in the middle?

The swedish sounded alright! I had no problem understanding what you said in Swedish. Having studied as little as you said, you did a great job! ☺️
💯
I have a modded PSP GO with the Cradle. Love that system. I take it with me on trips and connected to my TV from time to time.
