John Wood talks Sally! - The Animatronic Anchor (Episode 4)
We speak with John Wood, of the 3 founding Johns that established the world renowned company known as “Sally” which started in Jacksonville during the late 1970s and grew into a massive firm that still stands strong today. Sally has built animatronic shows and amusement rides all across the world. Starting out making animated mannequins, Sally quickly found a niche in the amusement industry by selling animated bands to arcades, pizza restaurants and amusement parks. They made their big break with the Magic Lantern Theater show for Six Flags Power Plant in Baltimore, Maryland. Presently, their main specialty is designing and building interactive dark rides.
