OMG I can see Inang in here! She's one of a kind artist! <3
Hi permission to ask, Baka pwede mahingi or ma used yang lyrics na inaawit niyo.
Sameee can we po
Navallo, 16-055 I liked how the artists played and used their instruments with regards to their subject matter being the waves. i liked how there would be times where they'd play in unison, sometimes playing on top of each other. they would also at times play fluidly, and at times depicting a crash. the artists played, with what i saw, in a deliberate way, trying to mimic and recreate the essence of waves.
Navallo, 16-055 i guess what impressed me the most was how the artists created a sound and performance that sounded like a Japanese battle movie's OST while using instruments and items commonly seen here on the Philippines.
Navallo, 16-055 I particularly liked how the performers used different instruments and items to create the atmosphere and vibe of a forest. the sound aesthetic was mesmerizing and calming to say the least.
The music in this performance stands out from the others due to its increased use of overlapping instruments, albeit in a less unified manner. Despite occasional lack of cohesion, this doesn’t diminish its quality compared to the other two performances. The music resembles waves in the sea, growing rougher as you delve deeper into the performance. Overall, this performance offers a unique experience distinct from the others. Jullian Marcus Joaquin 16-051
The music mirrors life’s journey of change and growth, though not perfectly, as it has its own tale of development. It starts subtly, gradually building up, then ebbs and flows, much like the pace of our own growth-whether slow, fast, or steady, we’re constantly moving forward. Initially appearing random, the composition becomes increasingly captivating and enlightening upon deeper listening. Jullian Marcus Joaquin 16-051
I'm amazed by the diverse array of instrument applications all at once, reminiscent of the 'sound exploration' video. While it might appear peculiar to some, not attuned to the presentation's flow, the musicians' versatility and expertise in handling the instruments are a clear testament to their talent. The choice of instrument materials also nods to the realm of improvisational art, a topic I've developed an affinity for. Overall, it was a captivating and artistic encounter, I must admit. Jullian Marcus Joaquin 16-051
Balud/Waves Like the tile, it captures the awe and amazement of waves. The seemingly harmless waves can move you and deal big of damage. The feelings it invokes when you are in the midts of it and when seeing it far away is different. That's how I felt with this, at the first glance, it just a simple and subtle arrangement of sounds but the more I listen to it. I can hear the danger in its sounds like its a warning that somethings coming. Ariane Dayne G. Tan 16 -55
The music itself goes into a journey of change and growth mirroring our lives. It doesn't 100% does and that's because it has its own story of growth. The start seems to start of the growth, and it's subtle somewhat soft, but it's slowly building up. Then at times slows down and picks up again. Our growth can be slow, fast, or steady but we're still moving. Listening to it, it feels such a random arrangement and composition at first but the more you go deeper it becomes eye opening and quite enthralling to listen to. Ariane Dayne G. Tan 16 -55
This performance truly captures the beauty of collaborative music but also highlights the sounds each of their respective instruments make. Listening to this, It made me feel like I'm in the middle of a forest with nature sounds creating a beautiful harmony. It captures nature, culture and human talent to create a truly immersive music that makes me feel varied type of emotions. Ariane Dayne G. Tan 16 -55
The music in this performance is very different from the other two as it has more instruments overlapping each other in a less cohesive way. Though the performance sometimes is less cohesive, it doesn't mean it's not as good as the other two, as the performance is still very good and the music is like imitating waves in the sea where it gets rougher the deeper you get to the performance. The performance overall is very distinct from the other two. (Lumanog, 16-055)
The early part of the music creates a very immersive experience almost emulating the sounds of nature. After that the drums and other instruments started playing as well creating a new sound that is similar to a traditional music. The synergy between everyone is great and everyone is completely insync (Lumanog, 16-055)
Keara Lucy Daniela M. Jacosalem 16-055 | MW 2:05 to 3:35 PM They're not just randomly banging and striking on their instruments - they are portraying nature, the waves in particular, while synchronizing on the spot. It really felt like they did not just want you to listen, but to actually take you on trip to the seas and experience the waves. This is what happens when amazing talent has amazing passion.
Keara Lucy Daniela M. Jacosalem 16-055 | MW 2:05 to 3:35 PM The performers have proven how music really does transcends all boarders and barriers. It is the universal language of all. Despite the differences in culture and tradition, music really does bind us all together in unity.
Keara Lucy Daniela M. Jacosalem 16-055 I am in awe. For one, it is because of the fact that this performance is actually an improve and on the spot synchronization; incredible. But secondly, it is impresses me so much how Sir Noy (center) was able to utilize and put-together trinkets and turn them into pieces of art. Throughout the whole performance, it felt like I was teleported to an enchanted forest.
Pedder Von Paler Go Class Code:16-055 The overall composition was okay, for me it wasn't really that catchy, but it kind of symbolizes and captures the moment of the impressiveness each unique instrument which aims to make a sound that provides music, and it highlights the sound of what the instruments that provide rather than aiming to make a very catchy song. It also aims to highlight the creativity of how the instruments are structured and how well composed and coordinated are the composers.
While engrossed in their individual performances, they remained mindful of their fellow musicians and actively sought ways to collaborate as a cohesive unit. they became a vibrant, sensory journey that infused a unique and unforgettable richness into the overall sonic environment. It celebrated sound design mastery, transforming waves into more than mere sounds. Escana, Rodd Nyx (16-051)
This performance was incredibly enthralling. It was a fresh experience for me, almost like witnessing a narrative come to life. The music was very calming and it triggered a lot of unexplainable feelings within me, its like looking back to where you orignally began. Escana, Roddnyx 16-051
Conales Ma Jessika C 16-051 This performance wasn't merely impressive; it was an experience that showcased the power of sound. Hwo the artists handled the sound not how they should simply 'sound'. In where each wave of sound wasn't a noise, but a brushstroke that painted a deeper emotional landscape. And making all diverse sound fit into a whole painting.
Conales Ma Jessika C 16-051 This is a display of artistic unity and unscripted creativity, its like the artistic are having musical conversation in where theyre exchanging ideas, with their colleagues that results in a dynamic and evolving soundscape that transcended the boundaries of classical composition.
Am about to bust
This performance was nothing short of outstanding. It was a tribute to sound design expertise, where waves became more than just sounds, but a vivid, sensual trip that added a distinct and unforgettable depth to the overall sound landscape.
The collaborative music improvisation was a wonderful show of artistic unity and unscripted creative ability. Each musician appeared to be having a musical conversation, exchanging ideas, and responding to the details of their colleagues. As a result, a dynamic and ever-changing sound emerged that pushed the bounds of classical composition. The musicians' natural ability to connect and build on one other's contributions demonstrated an incredible amount of talent and a shared musical language.
I admire the musician's creativity and resourcefulness to create an excellent composition using instruments that are not mainstream. The sounds induced by the instruments resonated very well with each other. I think it gives off a vibe in which I am one with nature (LEMENTAP, 16-081).
I am astounded by the varying uses of instruments in one go--almost similar to the other video 'sound exploration.' It may seem uncanny to others, unfamiliar to the flow of what they are presenting, but the versatility and skill of using the instruments is a big nod to their talent as musicians. The material of the instruments as well, a nod to the topic of improvisation art, one of which I have grown of. This was an interesting and artistic experience, I must say. Amigable 16-404
Each musician showcased their interpretation of the graphic notation in varied ways. Despite this, they found a way to work together and create a more united sound using the instruments. While being immersed in their own playing of the instrument/s, they remained conscious enough towards the other musicians and looked for ways to work as a team. (Tamayo, 16-063).
Following birth and growth 1, this piece seemed like a person encountering the tribulations of life just after celebrating its goodness. After what is seemed to be a period of running away from something (4:07), this person returns to his origin and finds solace when the piece transitioned into a "forest" feel sound (5:46). Just like in the first part, the musicians worked extremely well together. (Tamayo, 16-063)
The synergy between the performers was remarkable, creating a seamless and harmonious experience for the audience and viewers. The way they navigated through different elements of the performance showcased their versatility and expertise, being able to switch from different instruments to another. The use of improvised instruments perfectly complemented the whole performance, enhancing the overall atmosphere and creating a deeply immersive experience. Keisha Beloy Art App 16-404
The creativity, resourcefulness, and flexibility of each musician allowed for this performance to go smoothly. At first, the piece seemed like someone was waking up in a forest, not knowing where or who they are. As the piece progressed and the wind and string instruments provided a more defined and united sound, it felt like the person was starting to find and understand his mortality. (Tamayo, 16-063)
