Honestly both Grian and Martyn’s watcher lore still work really well with the actual and fictional events. Even though to Martyn they are no longer just “the viewers” but then he adds that they feed off chaos and love watching betrayal and that’s one of the main appeals of the Life series. Grian also actively causes as much chaos as he can lol.

ok like. lore wise. can you imagine that? Having this giant rift in your home that brings back beautiful memories from your past; a robot you created with your best friend, mountains that you built an entire town inside of; but then, the second you attempt to reach in, to grab more memories instead of allowing them to come out on their own, you're shoved into a nightmare where all you can see is the watching abyss where you once spent your days. in other news your coloring is absolutely gorgeous
