Dissolving
In the painting, Dissolving, swirling washes of pale greens, yellows, and soft pinks dominate the sheet, creating a hazy, atmospheric background that seems part cloud, part liquid. Over these watercolor blooms, fine pencil lines trace ambiguous forms-some appear reminiscent of organic shapes or body parts, while others drift into pure abstraction. The center line of the composition features several rounded or oval elements arranged vertically, joined by pencil outlines that weave between color patches.
Enlightenment is often seen as a distant destination-something that lies beyond the grasp of
everyday experience, buried in the depths of meditation or hidden in the words of ancient texts. But
true enlightenment is not something you seek outside yourself; it emerges from looking deeply into
the world as it is and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. This video aims to serve as a
companion on that journey, a guide for discovering insight not through dogma or doctrine, but
through the contemplative act of engaging with art and language.
The sketches and writings collected here present images and reflections that invite you to look at
the world differently, challenging the boundaries of conventional perception. Each illustration was
crafted by Houston artist Bob Camblin to provoke curiosity and reflection, drawing you into a space
where your mind can wander freely. The images are often strange, humorous, and even unsettling,
serving as koans-puzzling, paradoxical prompts that break down linear thought patterns and open
the door to a deeper understanding of reality. In this sense, this book becomes a meditation tool, an
exercise in mindfulness that allows you to pause, consider, and see beyond what meets the eye.
The importance of this collection lies in its ability to foster a kind of "everyday enlightenment." Here,
the path to understanding is not paved with rules or esoteric knowledge, but with a willingness to
see the beauty in absurdity, to find humor in decay, and to accept the coexistence of life and death,
hope and despair. The art invites you to embrace impermanence, not as a fearful or sorrowful truth,
but as a liberating force-a reminder that all things are in a state of flux, including our own minds.
When we come to accept this, we learn to move more fluidly through the world, finding peace not in
control or certainty, but in embracing the dance of change.
Each image and its accompanying text challenge you to look inward. They provoke questions
without demanding answers, allowing space for introspection and encouraging a kind of self-inquiry
that is central to spiritual awakening. The writings are not prescriptive; they do not tell you what to
believe or how to interpret the images. Instead, they offer perspectives that serve as stepping
stones on your own path, guiding you toward an understanding that is personal and unique. The
book becomes a mirror, reflecting your own mind back at you, illuminating your thoughts, your
preconceptions, and the deeper layers of meaning that often go unnoticed in daily life.
In a world where we are often bombarded with information and distracted by endless streams of
stimuli, this video provides a rare opportunity to slow down, to look carefully, and to think deeply.
It encourages you to resist the urge for quick conclusions and to linger in the ambiguity of the
images and the multiplicity of meanings within the words. This kind of patient, deliberate
engagement is itself an act of enlightenment, teaching us to find meaning in the mundane and to
see the interconnectedness in all things.
Ultimately, the importance of this video lies in its ability to reconnect you with your own capacity
for wonder and reflection. It is not a manual for achieving enlightenment, nor is it a collection of
answers. Instead, it is an invitation to explore the mysteries of existence with a light heart and an
open mind. It reminds us that enlightenment is not a destination but a process, a continuous
unfolding that occurs in moments of stillness, humor, curiosity, and even confusion. In this sense,
the video is not merely a companion on the path to enlightenment-it is an expression of that
path itself, urging you to find meaning in the absurd, to see beauty in impermanence, and to
realize that enlightenment is as much about asking questions as it is about finding answers.
As you explore these images and writings, you may find not just a book, but a practice-a way of
seeing, thinking, and being that deepens your understanding of yourself and the world. May it
challenge and amuse you, unsettle and inspire you, and ultimately bring you closer to a kind of
everyday enlightenment that transforms how you experience the world.

Our Man Paints Too
มุมมอง 910 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Dominating the painting, Our Man Paints Too, is a close-up portrait of a man in a suit and tie. The focus is on his face, which occupies most of the canvas, while the background-a maroon or burgundy field-features faint text or markings, along with ghostly, blended imagery in the upper and middle left. The man’s hair is swept back, tinged in dark browns with subtle lighter strands, and his gaze...
Montmartre
มุมมอง 4416 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
At first glance the painting, Montmartre, presents a charming yet somewhat crowded view of rooftop architecture-likely in a European city, reminiscent of Paris with its pitched roofs, attic windows, and slender chimneys. The middle ground is dominated by a cluster of blue-hued metal rooftops, each section sporting tiny dormer windows. Above these, a line of taller buildings ascends toward a haz...
Clear To The Sea
มุมมอง 518 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
A tall vertical canvas reveals a forest clearing that leads the eye into a distant horizon. Dominating the upper portion is an almost circular expanse of bright sky-suggesting an Enso symbol, also known as the Zen circle, representing enlightenment, strength, and the beauty of imperfection - glowing in stark contrast against the surrounding silhouettes of tall conifer trunks. In the middle and ...
The Old Man and the Sea
มุมมอง 162 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Center stage of the portrait, The Old Man and the Sea, is an older man with a weathered complexion, a full white beard, and a soft tan bucket hat. He looks over his shoulder toward the viewer with thoughtful, slightly guarded eyes. The background transitions from a dark, forested line at mid-canvas to an overcast sky streaked with deep blues and grayish tones above. Hints of green and ochre dot...
Crystal Skull: Can You See Through This?
มุมมอง 162 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This loosely rendered watercolor, Crystal Skull, features an ethereal blend of greens, oranges, blues, and soft pastels that swirl across the page. At first glance, it seems like a tangle of foliage and abstract shapes, but faint pencil and pen lines reveal suggestions of forms: a tree-like canopy at the top, amorphous shapes below, and the faint outline of a circular arc in the upper right. Ne...
Find the Missing Peace
มุมมอง 172 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
At first glance the painting, Find the Missing Peace, appears as a rectangular frame filled with swirling crosshatches in black and gray, overlaid by dozens of green, bone-like shapes. These forms vary in thickness-some slender and curved, others chunky and more angular. The entire surface feels alive with an interplay of linear texture and broad, flat areas of color. A thin border runs around ...
Mother and Child
มุมมอง 144 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
This oil on canvas painting, “Mother and Child,” features two figures-a mother and child-set against a segmented, geometric background in predominantly green, yellow, and muted brown hues. The mother, on the right, wears a green dress and a darker shawl or jacket, her face partially concealed by a headscarf. She stands taller than the child, who appears on the left in an orange shirt, holding t...
Seduction of the World’s Most Famous Pilot
มุมมอง 444 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In the artwork, Seduction of the World’s Most Famous Pilot, a vivid palette of reds and greens creates an almost theatrical impression: front and center is a large, red-suited figure wearing goggle-like headgear. To the left, a partially clad woman with flowing blonde hair wraps herself around him, one arm suggestively placed, while on the right, a stylized red biplane (complete with flames nea...
Hidden Grotto
มุมมอง 224 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
At first glance, the artwork, Hidden Grotto, appears softly muted, as though hovering between waking life and a daydream. On the left side, a tall rectangular structure-perhaps a makeshift door, plank, or frame-leans tentatively against the rocky landscape. Off-center, bulbous formations rise gently from shallow water, rendered in pale washes of cream and faint ocher that lend them an almost st...
Devil’s Churn
มุมมอง 254 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In the watercolor, Devil’s Churn, a narrow channel of seawater winds between dark, rugged rocks, drawing the eye toward the glimmer of foam and spray in the distance. At the mouth of this inlet, a wave explodes in a burst of white, sending droplets skyward in a jubilant, sunlit arc. The surrounding rocks-charcoal, umber, and rusty orange-bear the textures of barnacles and lichens, each encruste...
Verdant Visage
มุมมอง 457 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In the painting, Verdant Visage, a large green face looms against a vivid red backdrop. Its shape is unmistakably human, yet the features seem to have sprouted or melted together, like living plant matter contoured into a visage. Veins of emerald, jade, and moss swirl around the cheeks and brow, forming hollows where eyes emerge-a pair of somber orbs that appear both ancient and sentient. The b...
Moses
มุมมอง 207 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In the watercolor, Moses, a surge of intense oranges, yellows, and warm greens dominates the canvas, evoking both desert heat and fertile life. In the midst of these swirling shapes, one can sense the echoes of the biblical encounter between Moses and the burning bush-a moment where the ordinary desert shrub blazed with divine fire yet was never consumed. At first glance, you see tendrils of fl...
Tower of Hearts
มุมมอง 97 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
In the watercolor, Tower of Hearts, twin monoliths rise against a windswept sky, -these two towering forms immediately draw the eye. But as you look more closely, -each surface is covered with a swarm of symbols: hearts, hands, letters, -small squares like notes -pinned to a shrine. They overlap a...
Layered Vistas
มุมมอง 119 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
A tumble of small rectangular sketches fans out before the viewer, each one bordered by white and anchored in watery blues and ochers. Just jumping in to support a fellow artist. We are bombarded by language and images. It is next to impossible to slow enough to watch an entire four minutes and seventeen seconds of any thing that does not entail kittens, sex, or controversy. We are lost in digital bytes. So mush to say, so few to listen.

I almost forgot the thumbs up icon. We have fallen so far that we are lucky to get a handful of "likes" while some AI image manages to manipulate the algorithm, shutting us up in a dark corner of our electronic society.
