Ernie Ball | 8 String Regular Slinky Set
Came here from the thrice fb group lol. This is really cool! Such great guitars. I’m awaiting my tv blonde version, I should get it this week
@@xNimrod97x heck yeah dude. Welcome to the DK team!
cool guitar! what was the tune you played first?
@@goryunovdmitry thanks dude! That’s just a little idea I had for my band that’s been sitting around for a while.
Nice guitar. And mono cases are the best. I’m glad they switched from the huge hard case.
@@bennyharderguitar I’m so stoked on it eh. Pleasantly surprised.
nicee NGD ! congrats man
@@ShinKuro99 thank you!!
I've been comparing this to the other Jackson 27" baritones. I gravitate towards the blacked out models; however, this green is starting to grow on me. What's your overall impression of this guitar? Pickups? Playability? Etc. Wish your demo was a bit longer....nice riffs!
What issues did u have when u bought it. Did u just get a reg set up and did u order it a case I have the new Jackson Pro plus XT soloist how to set up done on it for drop A# Which technically isn’t even that low Everything except the low E string is tuned up half a step And it’s nothing but fret buzz . This guitar was $100 more and I almost considered getting it, but it only has regular pick ups on it. I’m either about to exchange it and just pray the one that shows up to my house is in better condition or I’m gonna order this and hope for the same I ordered it through guitar Center so I don’t know if I have an option of getting it shipped and a guitar case Did you have this ran through plek machine or have to file frets or did you just get a typical set up? My verses are clean and chorus heavy distortion so I can’t have a bunch of string buzz. I raised string heights significantly, and even put a 72 gauge on the low E and lt still buzzes On every single string The rest of the strings are the typical 13 through 62 minus the 62 of course
@@feedthewolf6930 hey dude! This one came setup really well out of the box, honestly. I tweaked it a little bit, but that was more to suit my specific style of playing. The other baritone models Jackson just released look cool and all, but the specs on this one were way more my style.
@@theblackechomusic what tuning are you in and did you have a set up done on it before it was sent to your house like I’m assuming it was shipped there and you didn’t get a chance to play it before you got it out of the box. Considering getting it from guitar Center, but I think it’s only available for six month financing and I need a little bit more leeway than that
@@theblackechomusic I returned it and ordered this so let’s hope for the best
@@feedthewolf6930 I've just got it in Drop A, so nothing too crazy. It came straight from Fender, so I had my tech get it dialled in for me.
@@theblackechomusic yeah the tuning I play in is only a half step up And if you ordered from Fender website, maybe it comes from a different warehouse or Location QC on everything unless it’s like a $3000 guitar is sketchy no matter where you buy it from these days Especially with LTD they have gone to Shit just like the older Jackson’s were and apparently it’s hit or miss on the new pro plus XT as well
Awesome! I'm being a little rude here, but this sounds like the only cover played actually correctly and not just hiding your guitar tone in the huge mix of the song.
@@davidbelanger2681 oh dude, thank you! I definitely tried to transcribe it accurately and picked up a lot of little things while doing so. It’s deceptively more complicated than people might think.
really cool but umm, it's like unaffordable
@@firstnamesecondname8280 sure, but it’s a great guitar for the price point.
@@theblackechomusicyeah no man I mean no
@@theblackechomusickind of. I had mine set up and even plekd for dropa# Just a half step up from drop a Put the 13 through 62 strings on the other 5 for tension purposes and kept the 68 on low E And I’m still getting some fret buzz
Very nice tones. I’m curious about the pickups in this guitar. What are your thoughts? Are they Jackson USA pickups or outsourced Jackson pickups labelled as RI1? No info on the internet about these. Also did the volume knob come into the way of your strumming hand while playing?
@@adityabali1939 firstly, thank you! The pickups are alright eh. I assume they’re outsourced. They hold up really well under high gain and are nicely articulate. I would probably trade them out for something a bit more boutique, but that’s me. I also love the volume pot position. It’s kind of optimal for me.
whats that neck like? given the description online, hard to figure out what the feel of the neck would be!
Man, it's such a breeze to play eh. Rock solid and smooth. The model I was sent had a really nice quilt in the maple of the neck too.
Is it a thin neck like a wizard’s neck?
@@KB-uw6zv yeah, it has a really thin neck profile!
Nice riffs!
Thanks homie!
Sounding sick my man
@@espec1000 thank you bro!!
clean af
@@Rednax_Official thanks homie!
@Rednax_Official First time I see someone using my old gaming name I came up with in the 90s :) I mean, close enough... mine was Rednhax.
How does this compare to the Jackson Monarkh SC baritone? About to buy one or the other.
@@zz-.- I prefer this myself, because of the Ash body and Gotoh bridge. Plus, it’s greeeeen!
@@theblackechomusic I like the green too. it also looks like this is built in Korea and the Monarkh SC is Indo. From what I’ve gathered the Korean built guitars tend to be better built than Indo. Have these hit the streets yet I thought they were just announced!
@@zz-.- yep, the Roman is MIK and the build quality is great. Would highly suggest it!
Interesting.....I'm also comparing these exact two guitars and still cannot decide. Overall, I like SC guitars better and definitely prefer the satin black over the green; however, as someone else pointed out, the Monarkh is built in INDO and have heard that quality control is not as good as Korea. With that in mind, if this guitar was satin black, I would jump on it right away. Another guitar that I'm considering is the Solar A1.6ATG Baritone, (27" with active Fishman Fluence pickups); however, this is also built in INDO. Decisions, decisions....
Great song choice
Thank you! One of my favourite blink tracks.
Sigh…alright fine ill watch another starcaster demo
Hahaha thank you!
Under-rated Blink song.
100% agree!
Sounds so good. Is the amp expensive?
It’s actually the STL Tonality plugin, so no amp required!
Play some thrice on that puppy
My two favorite bands thrice and blink :)
Excellent taste!
Here's Your Letter = instant like 😁 Great playing!
Heck yeah! Thank you!
This is the guitar sound we all wanted in the early 2000s. I mean, we still want it, but we REALLY wanted it back then!
Oh man, if this guitar was around in 2003-2008, we ALL would’ve had one!
I liked the t-shirt more than the guitar
I mean, at least you liked something and who couldn’t love a Thrice shirt ❤️
@@theblackechomusic specially if it is from The Artist in the ambulance
@@mattiabassriffs good man. What an album.
Nice shirt!
What a band!
wtf the intro effect is so intense
Hahaha sorry! Tried to emulate the tremolo effect from the album.
Favorite blink album + Favorite thrice album, what a nice pair! Also such a great, crisp tone you have there 👏
Yes and almost haha. Love Artist to pieces but Vheissu is my top pick. Thank you heaps for the kind words 😊
Yeah man!!!! Phenomenal stuff from a phenomenal band.
Heck yeah! Thank you!
The sigh of relief at the end of a good take... Sick job dude, I really enjoyed watching this!
Thanks Peter! This was a tough one.
Just bought the next best thing a standard stingray guitar. But i still want to mod it with single coil in the neck. Do you know what kind of potentiometer there is for tone and volume? Cheers
Oh nice one! I’m not too sure admittedly, but the EBMM support team are rad, so by all means send them an email.
sounds great bro
Thanks legend!

1:25 You know if guitarist makes this face, it means they're playing sick part.
I mean, it’s suuuuuch a sick riff hahaha.
What are your EQ Settings
hey do you still have this guitar ? I wish we could buy those from EU for a reasonable price (currently 4K and above :o) Also is it an asymetrical neck or a kind of standard C shape ?
I do! There's no way I'm getting rid of it eh. It's more of a C shape but a little thicker.
Btw maybe a stupid question but what happens if you plug a standard mono cable and toggle on the stereo Switch?
this the best i can find on the internet! can i pay you for tabs? :)
Hey, thanks dude! I actually learnt it by ear but I'm sure I could put a tab together for you.
@@theblackechomusic yes please!
Kick ass playing, you're great. This is my favorite song on the album.. I am going to try and learn some of it from your video I hope...
Thanks! I highly recommend grabbing the tab book for the album from Sheet Happens. It's great!
Love the tone man! What’s the amp you used for the basis of your tone?
Yo! This is based on the Diezel VH4 amp, but the gain rolled back a bit so it’s not too saturated.
Great cover and tone! Love the Stef guitar!🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
Nice job, dude!
Thank you!!
Tony Thaxton is one of the best
Heck yeah! What a drummer!
Very nice!
Thanks Joe!
Hard song with weird tuning ,,,, what tuning?
It's actually just in D Standard! Just has some odd chord shapes to navigate.
This was my shit in high school. ❤
Heck yeah!
Cover of thrice with Dustin's signature guitar 😍 truly awesome makes me want to buy the guitar lol
Dude, it is literally the greatest guitar I've ever owned. Every time I pick it up, I'm so inspired.
Dang you have the ESP signature too not the LTD. Do you mind if I ask how much that cost you? I will forever wonder the quality difference between the ESP versions of Stef's guitars and the LTD versions of his guitars. I'm on the fence about getting and ESP version but I didn't know if it was really worth all that extra $ and if you really notice a difference or not.
Yo! This was a very lucky lockdown purchase on my end. The person who had it before me had basically let it sit in a closet for a year and just wanted it gone. I got it for a great price but needed to put a bit of TLC into it to get it back to showroom standard. Honestly, it's one of the highest quality guitars I've ever played. The ESP Kiso Custom Shop is no joke at all.
@Black Echo Music do you know the average price I should be spending for one of these brand new? I found one online that I'm very interested in and it's being sold brand new for $4500, not including tax, which does end up being like $300. It's an ESP STEFB7. I just didn't want to overspend. Hopefully you have some insight
@Black Echo Music like when I go to ESP Japan custom shop website and go to the stephen carpenter guitars, the ESP STEFB7 is being sold for about $4500 brand new, including tax and shipping. The catch is I have to wait 2 years for it to be built. The guitar ESP STEFB7 that I mentioned in my previous comment is being sold for $4500 but tax is not included, but that guitar is available right now and I wouldn't have to wait 2 years. What is your opinion on what to do? Because obviously it's cheaper to buy it straight from ESP if they're covering the tax and shipping cost. However, the catch is having to wait 2 years to receive the guitar.
@@MrWillyWonka Man, I'm not too sure. It seems that the Custom Shop Stef stuff has become harder and harder to track down these days. I only ever see the one B8 on Reverb.
forgot the "Fuck You" on the break. lol
This is fucking brilliant! Just subbed cant wait to hear what you do next?
Oh thank you! I'm about to dive back into making content so I appreciate the sub!
Would it be wise to use this mic for rap vocals?
Yo! I think it would absolutely do the job.
This is frakkin’ epic!
Thank you!!!
What tune you use pls?
Drop A
