Not any significant changes in the performance or battery life. So when demanding games remotely with music on, the battery typically lasts no more than 3 hours. I haven’t had a chance to test how it behaves in sleep mode or under less intensive usage, like light tasks or streaming.

@@EllyVint There are so many good old strategy games with no real active content. HOMM series, Age of Wonders series, Majesty. Whatever makes your heart sing! There are newer series that keep the spirit alive, like CK2 and CK3 - if you ever watch HeyCara's channel, she plays a lot of CK3.

Ah, the hotseat memories-those were the days! Btw, I didn’t know we have HoMM games on phones-how did I miss this :O.

Same in mainland China back then! OMG, old days no internet, how HoMM3 has this incredible power to bring people together. I am AMAZED how one game can unite so many players across the world. 🌏

Thanks for watching! It’s not easy to watch this kind of review with English subtitles-I hope my sub there has made sense, because some points are so hard to translate precisely. I agree with your point on cultural influence. Japan has done an incredible job with media like anime and games. They are accessible to global audiences. At the same time, make them curious to know more. China has such a richer history and mythology. Without thinking of the political reasons, much of Chinese media focuses on domestic audiences, this has limited the accessible formats and hasn’t yet reached that same global familiarity. Another challenge is translating those stories into formats that resonate internationally. I mean not just the language itself, but when it's translated, it may lack that core essence of the culture in ways that are engaging and related.

@@EllyVint You're right, it's hard to save a "soul" of things being said after translation, I've seen this problem many times with slavic languages translated to english. Witcher series are a very good example - original dialogues are fantastic and rich in how NPCs express things - people are silly, boorish, sly etc, while after the translation they sound much like your everyday blank fantasy game talk, because some things do not translate at all or lose it's magic. Sadly I guess the language barrier and how different english and chinese languages are, make Chinese media very separated (it seems a lot of global pages, like social media stuff has it's domestic Chinese equivalent too like Weibo or BiliBili, cementing the separation). I don't know, I guess with a population that big, there isn't that much of a need to export this sort of stuff, because there are a lot of eager domestic gamers / tv show fans. But it's good to hear some games like Black Myth Wukong recently got quite popular around the globe. I vaguely remember this story from old-ass live-action TV show, it was played sometimes in local TV lol. Anyways, thanks for the video, I'm going to Taiwan next year on a trip, so I'm trying to binge eat as much Chinese material I can, to get a better grip on the language on topics I like. There are courses and phone apps for learning, but honestly a lot of situations and sentences showed there are not something I'd personally use in a casual talk (student stuff, work related topics) - while it would be mad cool to try talking a bit about gaming in mandarin.

Your passion for the series really shines! I loved playing all towns, but one of the best is Rampart because of the Unicorn- was a little girl preferring a unit with that magical aura🦄And thanks for calling out HoTa. It’s actually quite popular in the Chinese community too. Fans over there have also kept HoMM3 alive with HoTA, and there’s a lot of appreciation on the balanced gameplay. I am so amazed to see how this game continues to unite players worldwide-even after all these years!

@@EllyVint Cool! I haven't heared about HoMM3 Chinese community - so I was under impression it's an almost extinct game by this point besides eastern parts of Europe. It's really good to hear it's still alive in other parts of the world too! I guess game modders are golden saints for every game franchise, keeping things alive and making things interesting after all those years!

I feel like my reviews follow a curve - the first impressions are usually more surface-level, but over time (one month, six months, and now a year), I get a deeper understanding of my need of this product. It’s interesting to see how opinions can shift as we spend more time with it - I recall around 6 months time, I wanted to sell it on FB market - but I didn’t, because I need to grind in Diablo games in bed before sleep.

I don’t use it often, but I travel a lot for work, so I take it with me and use it when I’m on the go. It worked great for me in Japan, and it was just as useful in Colombia. I’ve never had the issues some people have reported. I have a 2 gigabit internet connection at home, and my PlayStation 5 is wired. I just got a PS5 Pro but haven’t had a chance to test out its benefits yet. This time, I got an 8TB NVMe to make sure I have access to all my games, especially through my portal when I travel. I love why you decided to keep it. And I love Diablo.

Interesting to know that, can you explain more? So no Australian, Indian and French accent? English isn’t my first language and I am surrounded by people from different countries, I tend to pick up accents from all over! I guess it makes my accent a bit of a mix - and I’m not sure what it sounds like sometimes 😃 anyway, I hope the reviews is helpful.

It depends on what games that I play. Like I’d play strategy games and games that need the precise controls on PC. But for story driven games, yes, consoles 😊 I mean it’s all about the games, not just the platforms. And, for some exclusive games, we cannot play it on PCs unfortunately.
