BEFORE REMOVING TILE HAVE YOUR HOME CHECKED FOR ASBESTOS, ASBESTOS IS DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH AND IT IS BEST TO HAVE A PROFESSIONAL TEST YOUR HOME. ALOT OF OLDER HOUSE 1980'S AND OLDER WERE KNOWN TO HAVE ASBESTOS. I apologize for the view I was the only person in the house at the time. Use two old irons or irons you won't be using anymore. After everything I tried to remove tile this is the fa...

I don't have electricity in my house yet, I rent 30 miles away while I fix up my house. I would have to use a cordless iron. Even if I buy on from walmart or home depot I don't know how long the heat would last. Does anyone have experience using one?

Dude, you helped me tremendously. I was having mucho problemas trying to get that mastic tar paper off of my risers, fortunately I had an old iron just sitting in basement. This was the ONLY thing that did the trick. Muchas gracias and God bless. Note: I did not use steam. The soleplate of iron now looks like shit but it was due to be trashed anyway and well worth it. Worth it to spend $15 on a cheap iron just to do this. Thanks a lot.

It works perfectly. I used a wet cotton T shirt. So it could steam up and moisture the tile so it will not melt the tile and then I just used the iron right on the tile . Thank you very much. Oh usethe wet T shirt to clean off iron.

I hope that's not asbestos. Most old tiles like that contain asbestos in them and the glue. You definitely should be wearing a mask or have it professionally done

Big Thank You! Was able to at least see the broken off shard. Don’t have needle nose pliers on hand. I ended up using two hanger hooks with the tips of the hooks cut to sharp points using metal shears. Was able to dig those points into the plastic shard and pull the shard up together with both points a little at a time, reposition one at a time, then pull again until enough was out of the drain I could pull up by hand.

Thank you!! 5 days before Christmas we accidentally damaged one tile then ruined 4 others using a strong solvent. For 3 days we scraped those tiles with little results and a lot of aggravation. We found your video last night and in less than a total 45 minutes (including finding and heating 2 irons) all five tiles were completely removed!!. THANK YOU!!!!!! Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!!!!
