Regardless of what the Oilers, or any other Canadian team does - none will ever win the cup again anyway. Bettman 31 - Canada ZERO and counting. Captain America has done everything possible (through the officiating) to ensure the cup remains in the good old USA. Not a "conspiracy" and not a "coincidence" either. He lets them go to the finals every now and then but has never let them win. The proof is that he never let two Canadian teams ever meet in the finals IN OVER 30 YEARS. Prior to him hijacking the league it used to happen quite often but not once since he took over. He only cares about keeping the American teams owners happy and only cares about Canadian teams money. Every year he has fixed the final outcome since 1994. SAD BUT TRUE.
He has increased the level of American teams lately and he is looking for more expansion. But the one thing that I would note is that is was one of the people who fought to keep the Oilers an NHL team so that is a bonus in my books. But still, it will be difficult for the Oilers or any Canadian team to actually win the Cup

It's a Free agent signing, I know that. He did have free will, but at the recording of the vid, there weren't many details. It was just an signing of 3 mil for 3 years. I didn't have the time to deep dive into this trade like you. Just looked at Oilers news lol
Panthers had the beyter season. So they earned the right to play game 7 at home. And this turned out to be the difference
Totally agree! But it was a crazy comeback by the Oilers too. The home ice advantage was clearly seen from the start as all of the fans were bringing the Panthers energy in the building.
