It's such a great and underrated show. It was the first musical I ever saw on Broadway. Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if an official movie were to be made based on this musical.
Which ancestor were you? I mean, I know high schools do like to add a new ancestor that wasn't in the original Broadway version. But it is fun when schools decide to add new ones.
I was in this show in high school I was a hippie anchestor all the other girls had pretty dresses or cute shirts and I had to wear pants I hated it at first but then I got really used to it and having fun with it

My least favorite thing about this show was the lack of a good villain. The plot is cute and all, but it's very cheesy. The movies were good because it juxtaposed the sweet but macabre Addams family with evil humans that were somehow far more insidious than they were. The wedding thing should have been a b plot.

Anyone else love the little melody the orchestra plays during the final "dieee"
This number was apparently added late in the game in previews, and the arranger did a great job of fitting the band parts to the choreography.
Unfortunately, for me, the Overture is the best number in the show. It went downhill from there, despite wonderful performers.

he also played Nathan Detroit in the broadway musical “Guys and Dolls” which is where he got inspiration for his first name
