Jet Tech Traction Turf Install Guide - 2022 Yamaha
How many sheets do I need to do this?
They look like a good idea for my FX and they don't come with any, I'm slightly worried about drilling the body of the ski on my Nano 2, would it not cause a crazing (small cracks)on the pant work with all that pressure on it?
I take my seat belt off and have a window open just in case stuff happens.
Great tips, if you’re approaching a yacht and don’t want to hit it what’s the best, safe way to slowdown fast or stop completely and move forward slowly as you said earlier? Thank you kindly and great info, cheers
can you add fuel holders to them as well thanks
That is a dangerous way to retrieve. If your out at sea & accidentally suck up that line, you wont get the rope out of the jet & you need to be rescued. A safer way is a short line from a clip on the ski to a free running ring hanging on the anchor line & you never have to start the ski to retrieve the anchor line.
I have been jet skiing for years. I always tell newbies the story about steering with no power. Do NOT EVER “pretend” to head at anything and turn at the last second because you will instinctively take power off, attempt to turn and you will hit that thing. Next, always LOOK, THEN turn. Last, I used to have the kill switch on my wrist, but accident pointed to something and killed the engine. Now it is always attached to my vest.
Id love to hear this procedure for Wave Runners with no reverse feature, without breaking one's back when you are on your own..thanks in advance!
Im looking for the connectors to attach the sled to the ski ... you know where I could get it from
Hey we sell all the connectors online that are suited for Jet Tech sleds.
Just got a set for me and my wife. We both need to start educating ourselves. Thanks for the advice.
Seadoo as reliable as yamaha? Cmon
We have personally found both brands have pros and cons, but everything seems to be pretty good these days.
No low tide where you anchored overnight? I'm yet to have a successful overnight anchoring without being swamped by an incoming tide 😢
Hey yea we walk them out if the tide is high.
Mike and Jet Tech - this video style is just about awesome! Absolutely love it.
Thank you so much.
Great video. How do you flush your jet ski when camping?
We usually don't till we get back and then use a product called Salt Shift to flush them out.
haha love you guys, thats gold.
Thanks.
good job
Watched this last night and backed my first jetski today. Tutorial was spot on! I wasn’t quite as good as Ash on my first go but I’ll get there!!
Quick question, do you guys install the turf on ski's? If so how much would it cost roughly?
Hey yes we do, reach out to our info email and the team can sort you out.
do these clamps have a weight limit?
Hey yes approximately 10kg per clamp.
Need type 3 in USA for jet skis.

We owned a boat dealership and sold both Yamaha and Sea-Doo since the 1980's when both were new to the market. We sold the dealership in 2021 or so. Over that time we sold thousands of each brand, even had over 50 units in a single weekend. Without question Yamaha was far more reliable, no one does it better. Sea-Doos are great but they always felt more cheaply built and to a lower price point and the little issues they have are annoying and can put you out of service. Engines are solid on both but we still saw many more failures with Sea Doo. They just aren't Engineered as well. Yamaha for sure is the gold standard.
thats some serious data with 1000s of units sold.
I agree with everything here...we are 65% Sea Doo in my world but 80% of the mechanical issues.
When can I go full 71 mph?
Awesome tutorial. Where can one find that nylon block at?
OMG so much fun you guys are having!
Was a great trip.
Don't tell me how to live my life.
As soon as that music started...you lost me.
High tech jet skis! Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and repent of your sins :)
I drove one and it is a three person one and I went 69mph and it was the best thing I’ve done
Watching the video, Seadoo is better for me. For waves, I eFoil. Jet skiing is not a “sport” - it’s for when I want to be lazy and get from A to B fast and with some fun. No other boaters like jet skiers.
Hi Jet! for you its better Yamaha or Seadoo? thanks!
What kind of lifevest is that. Great review.
Tell me you didn't just say brake clean !
Drag race with a surf board and were you towing something behind you? Lol
Imagine choosing a Seadoo over a Yamaha
Imagine choosing a Yamaha instead of a seadoo
I just rode the Sea-Doo from Long Beach to Catalina and it was awesome super stable in the swells and in the choppy water Great reviews I love watching your channel USA
What type speaker do you have on your ski
Kinda like riding a bike. Please do not panic.
You should visit bullhead community park great with family and friends 💯🔥top ten to visit with jetski
Thanks will note that down.
He talks rubbish
I could listen to that aussie accent ALL DAY! ❤
Great content 👍 thanks for sharing
Your most welcome, more to come!
Super simple explanation that actually made sense and was easy enough to understand how to correct on the spot! Thanks
Up here in the Salish Sea the beaches are almost all rock and gravel, so this isn't very relevant to launch/retrievals here - but when I do have to go up on the beach it takes me a long, awkward time to clean the pea-gravel out the intake so my impeller and wear ring doesn't suffer when I'm ready to go again- I'm very jealous of how you can run that thing up on the sand. I could probably do this on the Washington coast, though...
Does @whistlindiesel know he has an Australian doppelgänger?
Where did you get the camo gunnel pads?
Hey Kyle it is from our site www.jettech.com
So this dudes been cutting into fiberglass hulls for seven years. Imagine that method wrapping a car.
Whats the hardware lengths
Nice Video. Im my opinion the best way is the put down the taligate on truck or pop the hatch on the SUV and do it old fashioned way turning and looking backwards. Once the trailer is straight and lined up with the vehicle, look back and put your right arm behind the headrest of he passenger seat, GRAB THE STEERING WHEEL AT THE BOTTON IN THE 6 OCLOCK POSITION. That is the key. Then as your backing up turn the steering wheel the way you want the trailer to go. Once you get that down you'll know how to do it forever. The key is looking backward and grab the wheel at 6 o'clock on the bottom. Funny thing is because I learned it this way, I absolutely cannot do it looking at backup cam or the side mirrors. And the popping the hatch or lowing tailgate is especially important when backing an empty trailer as you'll actually be able to see it.
