I have been using digital vibrance for a while now along with increasing the contrast slightly on my G7. Now that I have the Asus OLED I run the brightness at 60 the contrast at 55 and the vibrance at 70. This may be a dumb question...but are you enabling HDR on call of duty in the in-game settings? I did only because I assumed I was supposed to. Thanks.

Can I update when I only have an old Laptop?

I have this similar board and adata DDR5 5200MHZ 16×2 RAM. and my pc keeps crashing. Im constantly getting bsod errors and the word "memory" is in every error. This is my first build so im not sure if my ram is faulty or my bios needs an update.

What about on console (ps5 and ps5 pro) to be specific. Still looks dim and washed.

Bro you're a life saver! I recently got this monitor and it was on Update 103, and the colours were amazing, but today I updated the firmware to 108 and everything was faded. I switched to HDR10 mode from Dolbe Vision, but the colours were still faded. This fixed everything! Thank you!

Is it important that it’s plugged into the motherboard? Mine is saying it’s successful but it’s not showing the updated firmware in the OS. I had the usb plugged into the front of my tower

So with the DDR5, did you bother to buy ram that is in the officially supported Qualified Vendor List? If not you are part of the problem. Get ram that is supported. I did and my 7200Mhz ram works just fine.

This is the second video I have watched about this monitor which suggest these changes. It really helped make a difference for me, so thank you. However, I don't understand why we have to make these changes. I feel like I had to do quite a bit of research to find out how to make the HDR setting work. Why does it not achieve these results out of the box? I really don't think it is consumer friendly at all. I understand making adjustments for personal preferences, but really, the difference was huge, why does it not work as intended out of the box without changing the settings like this?

You are comparing a gen 4 samsung to gen 5 crucial.

Just experimenting with these settings now. I don't understand why this needs to be done, shouldn't these products work well out of the box configuration? Am I messing something? I am not saying that this video wasn't helpful, it definitely was and I'm glad you have made it, but as a consumer I feel I / We have paid enough money for a high end product. We shouldn't have to know all the ins and outs of the technology to get the experience we paid for.

Shadow or Residual Frame in the Lower Screen Area • While playing games, a very thin rectangular shadow or ghost image appears at the bottom of the screen. • It looks like a residual frame or a previous image that hasn’t been cleared properly. • This shadow does not appear when watching videos or running desktop applications. • The issue seems related to gameplay and occurs only during motion. 2. Partial Shadow Box • Sometimes, instead of a shadow at the bottom, a rectangular shadowy frame appears in the lower-right part of the screen. • This shadow box is open at the top (not a full rectangle) and connects from the right to the bottom and left edges of the screen. • The shadow moves with the player’s movement in the game, particularly with fast mouse movements. 3. No Issues Detected in 4K/240Hz Test • When I ran a 4K/240Hz test on the monitor, there were no visible problems at all. • The issue only happens in games, especially when running the game at 2K resolution with 240Hz. 4. Cable and Hardware • I am using a DisplayPort 1.4 cable, and I’ve confirmed it supports 4K/240Hz. • The shadow issues do not seem related to the cable because other tests (like video playback and resolution testing) work fine. 9. Game Settings • The problem seems to be worse when playing games at low graphics settings with 2K resolution at 240Hz. • No significant improvements were seen after adjusting game settings like motion blur, anti-aliasing, or switching to fullscreen mode. Additional Notes • I’ve already tried all suggested fixes, including adjusting the monitor’s Shadow Boost, Uniform Brightness, and performing Pixel Cleaning, but the problem persists. • I’m wondering if upgrading to a new system with RTX 5090 and compatible hardware would resolve the issue completely, my gpu now is 3060 ti

Still color settings shouldn’t be greyed out on the monitor,I exchanged my aourus for this monitor and I’m going right back to it,gigabyte monitor was way better than this.

These motherboards are generally used on pre builds and it sucks, although forced me to learn about motherboards so i could make sure i was making a good decision.

I just two bought TWO of them, two 7600, two vengeance ddr5 32 gb 6000 mhz kit. One pc with a gtrx 1080 and one with a gtx 970. They BOTH keeps crashing on games after 10/15 min. Really, WTF ?!?

I appreciate the video. The firmware available on ASUS' site is not the latest version that is currently shipping out. This monitor is being returned. $1200 for a beta test experience is not the way. We must demand better from overpriced tech.

I got this mb in a prebuilt from Microcenter with a 7800X3D, 32gb 5600 and a 4070 Super. Only issue I had was slow boot times. I updated the bios and now it boots like 3 times faster 👌

With respect.. and tweak LG is brighter/vibrant compare to asus rog i have both C4 42 and pg 32ucdm lots of people commented below the same . Lg c4 looks better to most average consumer

I just got the same drive, but 2TB and installed on my Strix X670E-E which has the native motherboard heatsink and during similar test and also running HDSentinel Self-test which hammering the drive, temperature does not exceed 62C. I have Lian Li Air mini with NH-U12A chromax, 2x front Noctua NF-A12x25 chromax as an intake and NF-12x25 chromax exhaust an all of the fans are running at their minimum speed (495RPM) for silence, and it is dead silent yet keeping my 7950X nice and cool. You have AIO and that is a problem, at least for the drive. Unlike air cooler directs some of the GPU and nearby components heat out to the exhaust, around your AIO is accumulation of heat from drive, GPU so when you saying you have OK airflow, sorry, but you don't, not even in the slightest. You have exhaust that takes warm air out, but where is the air coming in reaching your drives heatsink and with open side panel, even if you panel was closed, nothing pushing air across your board, there is nothing directing even slightest air on that heatsink and that is a big no no.

I had a fail because i have read the wrong monitor name and driver, be sure to check that up and for me after that worked out ! 👍🏼
