MODIFY EXISTING TEKLA OBJECTS WITH GRASSHOPPER
In this session, you'll learn how to adjust Tekla elements that are already part of your model. Whether you've created objects in Tekla by hand or used LiveLink to generate them, Grasshopper allows us to implement changes that Tekla alone can't achieve.

In this lesson, I'll show you how to use Grasshopper with Tekla to do more than just make 3D objects. We'll learn how to automatically organize and add special labels to objects, saving time and making our designs smarter. "Well done! Thank you-this is the best session for Rhino Inside I've ever seen.
Thank you Youssefgabr! More to come and we promise great content
Hi Kris, Thank very much for the shear. Could please shear with us the Script of this webinar please ?
Please use link in descriprion
Nice explanation, but missing an essential ingredient where did these data trees came from, to be able to duplicate ourselves.
We recommend watching this video: th-cam.com/video/cfhQv7K2K-M/w-d-xo.html
@@learngrasshopper7548 Excellent recommendation, exactly what's needed.
Great live. Really enjoyed the video. I didn't know Edwin is Colombian, compatriota. Another awesome way to optimize is using DataDam. When you use this you can ensure a Boolean operation can be done at a different time without having to disable portions of the script. Cheers! And hope to see more videos like this.
Where is it possible to find the examples shown? I didn't get anything in the mail. Thanks
We are going to send them to all register users soon :)
@@learngrasshopper7548 Hi, I registered for the webinar, but I missed the live show. Could I still receive the example files? thanks!
@@Jayson-c6p Sure! Please register on the website and you will get files -- learngrasshopper.com/webinar-midas/
The challenges are so relatable. The imposter syndrome is so real, I thought I was the only one who felt that. That's very nice of you to arrange this talk.
You are not alone! It looks like this is quite often when you pursue computational dreams.
good job, is there a way to get the weight of elements from grasshopper?
Sure! There is a component called Get Property and you can inquire all type of data from Tekla elements
Hi I want to move plane cuts of beams. How am I doing it? The only way I found is to create new ones with moved origin point
@Arthur_Ko90 Yes, plane cuts can not be modified with a standard live link connection. However, I recommend changing the plane cute to the cut part. For example a boolean part can be modified with the "modify beam" component
Hi. Can we create or modify the revisions of the drawing using this live link?🙂
Off course! There is a separate component for that!
@@learngrasshopper7548 Would you please give me the name of the component? I couldn't find any. Thanks for all the help.🙂
Do you have a full course ???
Yes, we have! You can register for the waiting list and get the best offer - ProgrammingInAEC.com
@@learngrasshopper7548 I have registered, but like till now you did not record any courses ? Why not to do a pre recorded videos that's encrypted and sell it online ?
@@TA3A.YAWARD Yes we have it but we are starting them only one or two times pr year
As always, you are the BEST explaning grasshopper for beginners...thank you 😊
Thanks a lot! Doing my best
Great! Your video is very useful
Thanks a lot! Doing my best
super
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Muy interesante. Te da la posibilidad de editar, crear listas de cualquier objeto BIM, áreas...
And even more Sergio!
Nice job. Thank you for all the information
Glad it was helpful!
Kris. Very interesting as usual. I would love to see how you can control BIM through this method. I know you use excel for some attributes and bring in through GH. It would be great to see this working.
Thanks Craig! Excel works well but any data type could work as well. One the next workshop I will show more info about it -- learngrasshopper.com/workshop-tekla-buildings/
Would you mind sharing your Tekla model, please?
Hello Hancoock! This modell will be available only for Grasshopper in Tekla Training. You can join the waiting list to get the best offer.
@@learngrasshopper7548 Thank you, I already did and waiting!
I HAVE MANY CODE SCRIP FOR STRUCTURE BY GRASSHOPER BUT THIS IS GOOD FOR DETAIL SHOP DRAWING. THANKS FOR SHARE
You are most welcome! Check out other workshops!
Respected sir i am Dr M N Balakrishna did my PhD and MPhil from NTU/Wales university
Nice to see you here Dr M N Balakrishna
That is a great presentation!
Thanks @savvagulich3464
Nice presentation Rick...
Rick is one of the most talented engineers we know!
Is it possible to create reinforcement mesh for tunnel structure instead of curved rebars?
@ThePchua Unfortunatly meshes are not available in the Grasshopper Tekla Live link. Only a mesh as a Tekla Component is available in Grasshopper
how to register this webinar , to get gifts
Sign up here: learngrasshopper.com/webinar-tekla/ and we will send you a guide!
I've already signed up using the link you provided. However, I've only received the webinar link via email. Could I also receive the Grasshopper live link for this webinar as a gift? It would greatly assist me in my studies.@@learngrasshopper7548
How can I use grasshopper into my work flow? I am an estimator, normally plans are pass to me in pdf format and calculate rebars manualy...its really took me some time to calculate them acurately
@Mr.P539 Is it possible to get these drawings in dwg format?
@@learngrasshopper7548 yes it is possible.
This is very cool! Thanks for the useful information!
Thanks Giovani!
Is it possible to create a box in grasshpper with a void to simulate a tunnel?
Can you please send more detail to kris@learngrasshopper.com ?
That was a really good lesson for me. Seeing the side by side manual and automatic constructions of data trees cleared up a lot of past confusion I have experienced regarding data trees including how to correctly enter the input characters to create the various manipulations. Much appreciated!
We are happy to hear that Chris! Good luck with your data trees!
Great worshop kris!
Thanks David!
thanks for excellent presentation Kris, learn a lot today
Thanks a lot! Hope to see you on the next workshop
What is a BREPs?
BREPs is a Solid. Is a method for representing a 3D shape by defining the limits of its volume.

EXCELLENT EXPLANATION
Thanks a lot @E-se1gh
Hi Chris. if "Grasshopper Tekla live link" is free?? Where can I download it??
Yes it is! You can download student version or full version from Tekla warehouse
Hi Kris! Is it possible to use connection without tekla warehouse (using Tekla trial version)?
Yes it is possible with student license! But you have to download separate GH link available on the warehouse
Thanks all. It's useful!
Great to hear that!
