DAY IN A LIFE OF A UPS PACKAGE HANDLER!
This is my first TH-cam video! So I decided to start out with a short 1 min vlog on my work day. Hope you guys enjoy looking to drop more content in the future :)

Being a package handler is a good first straight out of high school, I worked at fedex part time when I was still in community college and then after I dropped out my 1st semester i worked full time as a package handler at UPS before I joined the Army and honestly it’s not bad as people say it is at least for me it wasn’t, my advics to you if you barely starting is just be fast paced not too fast but just quick enough to get things done efficiently and quickly.
Pretty much how it went for me the 4 years I worked there. Almost 3 years working Irregs and the rest was in Unload. By far the easiest ones too cause Irregs is just taking heavy packages off the belt and Unload was literally just unloading containers lol only thing I hated was the pay. Making barely 200$ for all that work and what’s more the UPS I was at was the worst rated in Illinois 😂. It’d have been better if we got our guaranteed 3 hours but after an hour and a half or barely 2 and half hours we’d have to leave otherwise we’d be “Stealing time”. I liked the ppl tho, but the higher ups can eat 💩
Lol at my place only 1 person could be there even in peak season and 1 person had to do 3 trailers on there own while there all getting packed up
Sorting and unloading are the easiest jobs at UPS. Preloader is the worst! I was a Preloader at UPS for 3 days and quit! Im sorry, but im a believer that loading 18 wheelers is a job strictly for men. Women should be banned from loading 18 wheeler trucks. It's too much for a woman! And No, women and men are not built the same. I don't care what a feminist says If i had a job like this at UPS, I would have stayed there way longer.
Yes ups for life
wtf are they even doing respectfully
Good stand, all day , 8 to 12 hours.
Do you get 15min breaks between lunch?
this can be automated in a few years smh
that looks exciting. I would be looking for another job after 10 minutes of doing that.
Never show a high vol pick off during peak🤫
what about all the ones who are working their arse off at the load end loading trucks, from those chutes that come down two stories and fill up with packages in two minutes?
…..And it’s like this all day long??
BULLSHIT turn off the Elevator Music and add back in the true ambient noise ...
If that's a day in the life then I don't know what the fuck I'm doing there
Speed that belt up just a tad and add a lil more volume. Now that’s realistic flow on a normal day

I loved UPS sorting, sorted by zip onto 11 different belts!
It looks like a really good job! Do you like it? I'm thinking of applying for it too.
Yeah do you have Cleveland Ohio let me know
Quick question do UPS provide gloves for safety/ protection or do you have to bring in your own gloves???? ( PPE?)
NOPE th-cam.com/video/SnBu8qkyRcU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=njs50ZEIKNqynvBT

Shi it’s my first day of orientation today so I’m really about to find out what UPS about I come from Amazon & FedEx so let’s see
how is going?
@@danielcalderon7774 I quit on my first official day bro. Shit is not worth it. To simplify, I got hired for 18.50 and then they said they will be bringing it down back to 16.50 after the promo is over or whatever. I come to work on my first day and no one even acknowledged me or looked at me, they just sent me to a trailer. I work on the trailer and I’m loading and its heavy ass shit, so many tires and all that. I didn’t mind… But the supervisor came up to me and said it’s a short day go home. Now I wouldn’t have got mad if had worked for more hours but this was literally 1 HOUR 1 HOUR it took me 30 minutes to get over here ni Anyways. Don’t waste your time, if you want shit pay, shit people, Cold ass facility because it’s open the whole time then you’re welcome to clock in. That’s my 50 cents
@@seaneditingHDwhy did you leave fed ex and Amazon?
@@josegarza7719 Amazon was chill but too repetitive, good pay good hours, but no life. I left because I couldn’t see the sun 🌞 but it’s great to stack up some money! FedEx is a very ass-kissing job favoritism job, you gotta be cool with management and it’s more close knit 🧶 so if you just mind your own business and do your job you’ll be good but management is always watching you. It’s a lot to explain, you’ll have to actually work there and you’ll form an opinion but this is mine. My bad I had to think of this really fast lol.
@@seaneditingHDso where do you work at now?
y’all really don’t take care of peoples packages. y’all really just throw them around like that?
I’m starting next Tuesday for the 3 AM shift ! Let’s get it, I worked warehouse jobs all my life. I hear it’s a good work out 😂 any advice for this first timer
Lmk how it goes !
Aye bro you quit stop the cap, I know you see this comment.
@@seaneditingHD actually they put a freeze on hiring, they will email to let me know when they are hiring 😂
@@rascal9o9 you ever get in? I worked there for 3+ years. Hated most of it because of the way I was treated but I liked the work! I'm thinking about going back just for seasonal help if I have the time this fall
They drug test.?
What task they do in their job?
This/my generation doesn't really know what hard work is lol I grew up with family born in the 1920s to around 1970s and they literally made me do anything. Fast forward my first job was in a warehouse where we had to pick, pack, and ship all ourselves and I would push out 100 orders a day and the avg was 50. Take it for what it's worth but I'm also a potential NBA player and it translates in whatever field you are in if you work hard and get things done. I'm only 28 but I feel like I'm 78 with all the knowledge I've seen and been around. I've also worked in maintenance jobs, drove for Uber around 3k rides and other driving jobs plus have a real estate and life insurance license. Most kids want life to be easy, but the only life will be easy for most of us is if we work hard while we're young and then can enjoy it later.
Compared to my job on a assisted living place lifting and transferring people …this job is easy ..
