One of the factors why BBP chose Nicole for MI, which I totally agree with them is, the girl is loaded. Still unknown to many, BBP is unapologetically leaning towards affluent candidates - not that candidates are buying the crown (just to be clear) - but most opulent candidates are naturally sophisticated, glamourous, proper, educated and smart. You can expect NO ISSUES with such candidates, before, during and after pageants. Plus, they can acquire anything that could help them win the international crown (Designer Gowns, Expensive Jewels, Stylish Dresses, Make-up, Shoes, Trainers, etc.) . Besides, BBP is old-rich, so why not love your own? MI is a plain & simple yet palatial pageant, and the best way to clinch it is to send a silk-stocking representative; and I'm totally onboard. On the other hand, I'm not seeing the huge attraction with MGI. I just see it as a circus exploiting women. No sense and meaning at all - but I guess a necessary evil? Very glad though that BBP dumped it. It smells & stains BBP's regard and accomplishment. MGI's social-climbing owner consistently insecure that his pageant is, and will always be abysmal, despite of it's flashy and HD presentation. Between MGI and Supranational, the latter is the lesser evil. MGlobe and MIntercon might be minor pageants to most people, just because they are not trying too hard to be popular, by spreading foul-smells in social media. They believe that although their pageants are businesses - the candidates, their dreams and their causes, are what really matter. Something that MGI is clearly having a hard time learning. My two cents.

Nicole is very MI Prototype talaga. Isang factor din she’s young. And knowing na madami ngayon ang nag cross over sa other pageants. Baka if every na Hindi sya mag crown ngayon malaki ang chance na cross over sya ng aces sa MWPh . Malaking sayang din yun if ever. And for the cards. Wala naman sinabi talaga na si gabby ang highest scorer. Pwede din na namali sila ng nadinig kasi intercon and inter medyo the same. And knowing na hand written Lang yun . So walang reliability . Kaya dapat Hindi mag assume na si gabby ang highest scorer kasi walang nilabas ang binibini . Misleading Lang ang idea
So true. Nicole is a gem and im glad the org and judges saw it in her. About the card situation, all i know is they’re taking this to the court.
Anna and Nicolene, the top two next to each other during the opening number. The last time I remember that was at Miss World 2003 when Rossana Davison and Nazanin Afshin Jam were next to each other in the opening number.

Probably only the gay mamas of these two girls are bullying one another. You know they do get obsessed and they called their candidates their daughter. Thai gays, will attacked back if their girl is attacked first. And news in their country stated Filipinos went after Anna just right after she got crowned so all her gay mamma got pissed and fired back …. But now Indonesian are being attacked by Fil for copying Catriona.

My favourite MUT this year from the prelims to the final was Eye (MUT18) she is pretty, fierce, dinamic and she had Miss Universe material. I hope she doesn't just settle for a 2nd runner-up, and that she applies for the next edition next year, if she keeps the same approach and works her language she could win.

I must admit that I was a bit disappointed that my best bet 'Eye' did not win and thought that Anna was not Thai/Asian looking enough. But after having heard about her background and upbringing, I was in awe and I now can see why MUT thought that she would be deserving winner. Congrats, Anna! I think that you'll do great in MU. =)

Anna grandma from father side is German. Then again people always say “ Pure Thai “ no such thing as pure blood that perhaps 500-1000 years ago…. Thai’s are mixed with many Asean and south Asian and East Asian and in the 1300-1700 Portuguese Iranian other European settlers in thailand. There is still a Portuguese settlement in Ayuthaya sitting there as a museum. Ancient king made all foreigners to changed their surname to Thais, so future generations can unite as one. But last 50-100 years more migration from other Asian countries and the Chinese are still trying to migrate in. Also last 30-50 years more American & European making thailand their home.
