To celebrate the 20th anniversary of "The Spirit of Ukko" album, here is a brand-new lyric video for the track "Warrior Soul".
One of the most iconic albums in Finnish metal history, Kiuas’s “The Spirit of Ukko”, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025. To mark the occasion, the band will perform in its original lineup in four cities during the spring 2025.
The The Spirit of Ukko 20th Anniversary tour kicks off in February at the Espoo Kulttuurikeskus, near the band’s hometown, before continuing to Olympia in Tampere and Lutakko in Jyväskylä, culminating in a grand finale at the Tavastia Club in Helsinki on May 23. During the concerts, Kiuas will play the classic album in its entirety.
Awakened from a long slumber in 2021, Kiuas has made a triumphant return to the Finnish live music scene with its original lineup: Ilja Jalkanen, Mikko Salovaara, Atte Tanskanen, Teemu Tuominen, and Markku Näreneva. Their comeback was far from just a nostalgic trip down memory lane. In spring 2024, the band released a new and critically acclaimed EP, “Samooja: Pyhiinvaellus”, which was followed by an extensive tour of Finnish clubs and festivals.
In 2025, it’s time to revisit the past once more - and for a good reason. To celebrate The Spirit of Ukko’s 20th anniversary, the album will be performed in full at four Finnish club shows in the spring, with select festival appearances to follow in the summer.
