Catfish Farming and Artisanal Fish Smoking at the Smokehouse
In this video, I talk about my work as a catfish farmer and the process of fish smoking on the farm. I explain how we buy large catfish from other farmers, prepare them by washing, cutting, and saucing, then smoke them in a firewood oven over a long, low-heat process to ensure a long shelf life for the final product. I also discuss how we cater to premium customers by providing specific cuts of the fish, like the fleshy middle sections, and the pricing for these products.

@Tikifish, I am grateful for giving this expertise for free! Just curious, you mentioned that you weigh the fish(es) after removing the intestines and cleaning them up. Don't you notice large differences in weight before and after drying the fish? Alternatively, what is your average weight decrease after drying them (% wise)? I believe the proper weight should be determined after they have dried, rather than before. Otherwise, your weight losses are so small that there is no difference in weight before and after drying them.

I can supply you with local floating feeds Tiki, floating feed is d best, you don't want your feed, as u can detect when dey are full
Maybe by feeding according to their weight, there are charts that give the ratio of food/biomass...so you just need to weigh them regularly and adjust accordingly...

Will the force of the pressure washer not affect the Quality of the meat? A more efficient but less cost effective method could be an assembly line descaling method.
