I experience such a weird issue today. When making a sharp right turn to pull into a spot I lost my power steering for a good 2 seconds. Out of nowhere the steering wheel got very stiff as I was attempting to turn the wheel, almost felt like there was no power steering I almost hit a car next to me luckily I slammed on my brakes. And 2 seconds later the power steering came back and there were never any warning kits in the dash. The one thing I did notice is the gauge cluster was flickering but that’s it. This was in the morning and ever since that, it hasn’t happened again. Now I’m just afraid what would happen if this was on a highway. Has this happened to anyone else

I have this issue on 2009 328i e90 but the kits I find are all for F25. Do you know if there’s one for my car or can this kit fit?

I will take the peeling glove compartment over the sunroof leaks front and back.

J’ai eu le même problème avec la boîte à gants de mon X3 mais je n’ai pas tout démonter. J’ai recollé le revêtement en badigeonnant avec un pinceau et et rejointer le tout avec des pinces à ressort !

How did you get the tensioner pully off? I removed the two bolts from mine and it's still stuck on there. I'm guessing you had a similar issue since the video cut at that part?

My F48 X1 has exactly the same symptoms. Dealer has replaced tie rods, and lower control arms in an effort to fix, but noise is still there when engine is off. The repair kit does not show fitment for the F48, but I wonder if it is a similar setup and if BMW is doing anything for F48 owners with this issue?

What wrench for belt tensor replacement

1:39 this video is fantastic thanks! One thing to clarify: at this point of the procedure you need to insert a flathead screwdriver on the top side of the tank, where the tank’s mounting clip attaches to the frame, in order to release the locking tab that holds the expansion tank into its mount. It would be good to have video showing this part. it’s not entirely clear from the video but I eventually figured it out. Great video though!

I asked the BMW workshop if they could re-glue it. They rejected that and instead tried to sell me a completely new glove compartment for a whopping 435 Swiss francs. So now I'm repairing it myself thanks to your instructions. Thank you!!
