@@kidstrainplaceI filmed this when the UP-NW weekend schedule was active. I’ve never seen the middle track be used whenever I railfan Gladstone on a weekend. So no, I wasn’t gonna get hit by a train or something. Not even express trains run on the middle track, at least when I railfan there.
@@AverageRailfan express trains use the middle track all the time, also it dosent matter, just looking out for your safety

I do deserve more subs cuz like the clips I save to make my monthly compilations eat up my storage and it takes forever to put it all together and once I upload it it flops :(
On an average day at Franklin Park, (no special events) can a person set up a tripod on that narrow center platform and film? I want to drive from Ohio to do that. Thank you!

that was me right there. yep, i was holding my stance but the tripod bumped.
Yesterday I went to go catch the Hiawatha and the empire builder to Seattle and I saw you rail fanning! Really cool to see you.
I wish they would start using the red beacons on the roofs. They have to be for some sort of end of train alert
Same. On Metra’s F40PHs and the F40PHMs the red gyralight is used whenever the emergency brakes are applied or during an emergency of some sort and I’m guessing the red beacon light is used for the same reason

@@reginaldgarner4321 I actually filmed this in the Northern suburbs not the Western suburbs. The Empire Builder heads north to Milwaukee, then turns west to Seattle WA & Portland OR.
