@@wizard0fozark haha!!! So true!! A brilliant comment!! Happy new year brother!!!
Just stumbled on this Jon! Nobody knows Rockabilly like you. Such a wide variety of great stuff and thanks for sharing.
Such a great show. Definitely will buy the Mott album. Hope you will be on air again soon
Thanks Leo!! Appreciate it! Glad there was something you dug!! Have a happy new year brother!!! Cheers, Jon
When I was young I thought this song was great. Then I had a daughter and imagined a guy like Danzig standing on my porch singing "father... gonna take your daughter out tonight"... Lol. No. No you're not. "Do you wanna bang heads with me?". Yes. 100% I do. lol
Meatloaf looks great!
He should quit holding the mic like that
I saw him first on the lucifuge tour and all eras since. He cares deeply about performing and doesn't do BS performances.
Danzig is the goat. Easily the celebrity I would most like to meet. I’ve only been able to see him once back in 2022 but I really hope he comes back to my region soon
Honestly, who uses wired mics on a stage this big anymore?
@@fleatactical7390 the wired microphone is an old school style. It’s a good look to have one hand on the mic and the other on the cord or stand. Plus you can throw or spin it in the air or a bunch of other tricks. The Damned, The Who and bunch rock bands still use it. You are correct, it’s getting less common with the younger bands and the pop stars. Happy new year and cheers!!
@@bipbopboom It's also a good way to trip people on stage or get snagged on monitors.
Still GREAT VOICE🤘
Yup!! It was a good show! Cheers!
I’d say he still got his voice. Especially to be 68 years old. I hope I can still get around at 68 years old
Yeah! Hard to believe how time flies. The Misfits are senior citizens. Crazy!!
@ yeah it is. They so big they made it into a vid game 2004 I just busted out ps2 last night got on gta San Andreas. Driving around and next thing you know I hear on radioX mother was like there it is that was third time I heard mother yesterday. Once on this. Looked the full song up once and once on are real local radio the planet 93.3 here in sc
Guess we will call it 4 gta San Andreas but that wasn’t until today technically just after midnight lol
Glend Danzig stil rules
Right on!!!!!!
I’m naming my new band “Fat Danzig”
Haha!!! Happy holidays to you!!
Where was this recorded?
This was Boston, maybe a year or so ago. Cheers!
@bipbopboom thank you
The Traits! Superb! The Catalinas (Scepter) was also played on the UK Northern Soul scene, a bit poppy but has that 'beat'.
Thanks for watching!! As you can probably tell, I’m no expert in these genres. Especially which soul tracks made into the northern soul playlists and which didn’t. Have a happy holidays!! Cheers, Jon
He looks young in person! I met Glenn! He looks 50..super in shape! Super nice guy to me and my family! LOVE YOU GLEN DANZIG!! TRUE LIVING LEGEND!!!!!😎😈😈🤟☝️🤟🤟🤟💪🦾
Awesome you met him!!!! Definitely a legend!!! Cheers!!!
@bipbopboom Hell yess! Great times brother!😎🤟
Unpopular opinion: Bands should not play live shows after a certain point. This sounds like a pretty good Danzig cover band.
It's cool, but nothing like back in the 80s or 90s🤘
@@jamesleyda365 yup. Unfortunately nothing will ever be like the 80s or 90s again. Great times those days! Have a Merry Christmas!
@@bipbopboom Merry Christmas!
The destruction of the building was not filmed?
Haha!! The phone must’ve shut off early. Happy holidays!! Cheers!
Danzig !
Like if Elvis lived and tried being trendy in the '80s...
Bullshit ass!!!! Glenn is 70, and we all should applaud a man that is that age but still rocks and had held a lifestyle of straightedge clean diet, no booze or drugs or smoking, and martial arts training!
Hi! Great video. Where can i order a box like this??
@@diverecords4293 haha! Thanks for watching!! Cheers!!

Jon, Thanks for the heads up on this band and release! I finally got around to grabbing a copy online, and it really is great! Perfect way to have this material. Regards, Brian
@@blackbeansandrice344 very cool to hear Brian!! It’s such a nice package and some bands are more fun to listen to on 45s. Glad you dig it!!! Hope you’re doing well!! Have a great holiday!! Cheers, Jon
Glenn Is 138 🤘🏻
@@SS71Simon right on brother!! Even though I still to this day don’t know what 138 is referencing!! Haha!! Cheers, Jon
Danzig-mother
Good catch!!
I'm on a Bipbopboom parade. You still need a medallion. Did you go see Flash and come back home and start rocking again? Damn! Your hair got shorter. What savage did that to you? Jet is Slade effing T Rex doing "Mr. Roboto" Rush style. Rubber City Rebels are great! Rust belt, working class gents. Dude, I can't get past the Supertramp or "Come Sail Away" thing. Although, I think I like this band better than those. That last Jet song sounds like something My Chemical Romance or Robby Bloodshed would cover. To each their own. Ain't enough weed in the world for that one. Blitz is great! I had no idea they went this direction. I do like it but it's not classic. Let's do a show together and talk metal. Buddy Holly is my favorite of the originals. What reggae band did this? Fantastic! "Words Of Love" is such a good song! Nooooooooo . . . Why did you rip that off!? That was doing justice. I want to hear you talk about your favorite band. Never surrender, never give up. Be you and teach those after you to be them. Prost!
@@hellionrebellionrocknrolla744 cheers Hellion!! Thanks for watching! I appreciate it! I enjoy reading your play by plays, but I’m not gonna tackle everything you said! Haha!! Yeah, Jet isn’t for everyone! Glad you dug some of the records!! Hope all is well! Have a great holiday!! Cheers!!!
You need a medallion. Damn! Got me off the bat! Dollar Bill is wonderful! How do you keep your hair so sharp? He's got a Delta, Model T. Ford vibe mixed with a hot blues, Chicago Hooker thing. I still think the Amboy Dukes run "Please Don't Go". I've heard many a bluesman do that song. I'll still take a more dialed down "Boom Boom". Way too much cocaine and coffee involved with that version. That second song ain't no joke though. A Cadillac is a good car to drive after a war. Looove some Dwight! Oh man! You took off "I Walk The Line"?! Are you insane!? The Ronnie Howard Trio is awesome! Eff the crowd, rock 'n' roll is the beast it will be. The comp you just shared was spot on. I'm always surprised when I hear foreigners play traditional American music. You opened for Gene Summers 😮!? I opened for Acid Bath and Frigg-A-Go-Go. I almost had a spot opening for The Cramps and DGeneration but I effed that up. Hey cheers! Love seeing your passion. Tell them Boston boys I said "Hi". Sonny Burgess is great. Thank you for repping the originals. Have fun!
Good to see Tommy prong getting a paycheck
Haha! Yes! Nice observation!! Cheers!!
Glenn F*cking Danzig!
Great Collection!
Thanks!! Appreciate you watching!! Cheers, Jon
Glen Danzig still rocks!!! Saw danzig many yrs ago, was one of the best shows I've been 2! Rock on 🤘!
@@puddleduckist awesome!! I’m sure it was a killer show back then!!! Cheers!!
I saw Danzig the year that Mother came out! VISAGE in Orlando! Jon Christ on guitar.
@@Grilla25 right on!! I saw them in 1988, was awesome too! I don’t think I appreciated enough what I saw, he wasn’t yet a legend. Haha! Cheers!!
Great stuff Jon. I enjoyed the Jet LP so much I have bought a copy. I saw Radio Stars live a couple of time in the late seventies, Andy Ellison was a great frontman. Those reggae disco mix 12" usually get better when they get to the toasting/dub part. Looking forward to your next session. Cheers, Pete
Wow! You saw the Radio Stars in the day! Awesome, I like that band a lot!! Glad you dug the Jet album Pete! It gets better the more I hear it. Thanks for stopping by for a listen! And happy you grabbed a copy of the Jet lp! Cheers brother!!!!!!
Huh?
La band rock n roll piu influente sono "The Stooges"
Right on!!! Cheers!
Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoying the music
Thank you sir!! I appreciate it! Cheers, Jon
Four first Mott The Hoople is underrated. I think they were better back then, pre-Bowie involvement.
I have a little trouble getting into the early Mott. To my ears has a singer/songwriter vibe but put to rock music. I like the RnR songs. Bowie helped them in that area. Just my opinion of course. Cheers!!!
That Blitz album sounds cool too. A bit like early New Order maybe. Good new wave.
Glen Danzig rules
Right on!!! Cheers Jose!!!
As yes , sweet Gene Vincent. Taken too soon in a car crash . I used to drive through Chippenham and would always sing his biggest hit “Cmon Everybody”.
Haha Stevie!! All the cool cats ripped off Gene!! Cheers!!
Lots of metal records there. Used to have Pandemonium Hole in the sky in my teens, but it disappeared along the way, haven’t seen it in years.. Early King Diamond is great.
Oooh Terry Reid, just got my hands on a nice UK original of that self titled album. Absolutely fantastic record. The Winter album is great too, Progressive blues experiment.
Yeah, the Terry Reid is a good one. I really like the drummer on it. Cheers!!
That Jet album sounds awesome. Not at all into Queen and that kinda stuff, but this has got something that appeal to me. Good singer. Another similar band that I like is The Quick.
Thank Mathias! Glad you liked it!! You might know them already, but Radio Stars is worth sampling. Couple of the Jet guys during the punk era. The Quick are a cool band for sure!! Cheers!!
yeah give up gracefully or join axel...vince etc
Hey Jon. I musta had my head up my hinder, cuz I missed the live stream. Viewing after the fact is better than missing out entirely though. Thankfully your need to tidy up resulted in a mini platter party for everybody! I've been a fan of "Brain Capers" since the "All The Young Dudes" album broke & I searched Mott's back catalog. In 1977 a Chicago FM station, Triad/WXFM, added a dash of UK punk rock to their rotation, which included the contemporary Sex Pistols singles. One evening they played the Sex Pistols, "Did You No Wrong". I thought it was some unreleased Mott the Hoople song from the "Brain Capers" era, until the DJ announced it was the Pistols. The next day, I badgered my local record store to order a copy of "God Save the Queen" for me. To paraphrase the words of D. Boone, "Punk Rock Changed My Life".
Nice eclectic mix from Jon as always 👍
