Methodically going through my tapes and tapes I’ve acquired over the years to share ad breaks, shows as well as the highs and lows of the VHS era. Retro, nostalgic, cringe, w/e you want to call it, it’s all here.
Keep in mind that this is just a hobby of mine and not a job, updates and videos will appear when I get the time to edit and upload.
Also, just a friendly reminder - please don’t ask for or demand videos, I don’t take requests and I’m working in the order of tapes I’ve been digitizing. Advice, requests to use footage, general banter and help is totally appreciated and welcomed; wishcasting about shows I might have, requests or demands with regard to video uploads or frequency are just going to get ignored.

I had a recording of the Rugrats 3 part special one of these days in November. I remember on the Split screen credits of one of the episodes, they were promoting the Rugrats Macy's balloon and the song "My Getaway" was playing as they showed the balloon. Sadly, my recording was lost years ago to a flood, but it was a huge part of my childhood 😊

The Corn Pops girl. I just got the Nintendo World Championships NES Edition for Switch. Well, that stirred up nostalgia for the reason I knew to fly in the castle to get the flute : The Wizard. When I saw that Corn Pops commercial, I realized it’s the same girl. Made the connection 35 years later after watching this and clips for The Wizard for the aforementioned reason. Though I am in Canada, CBS Saturday morning as well as ABC were my jam in the 80s.
Those people are floating a melted chocolate ocean and those kids and the orange bird are going surfing on top of the melted chocolate waves and there is a explosion of melted chocolate growing up and it looks like a volcano
The person in the bath tub full of water has his legs coming out and the cream character swirl has made a cookie sandwich with sprinkles and candy and those two kids are drinking some white milk together
I was 11 when this aired. I'm so glad i grew up when i did. got to have fun with web 1.0 ,great tv, cool video games and everyone having cell phones were not common until i was 15 witch was the perfect age, i got to have an innocent youth and a vibrant teenage social life but it wasn't out of control like social media is today. I always credit my healthy relationship with cell phones and web 2.0 to the time I grew up in.
Question, what does close captioning say if you turn them on? "Shut up, stupid?" Or did captions include the bleep?
I watched Hangin' With Mr. Cooper during its 1st run on Nickelodeon's TEENick block in 2001. And then during its 2nd run on Nick@Nite in 2014.

I absolutely loved the opening- some pretty normal looking girls trying to get Matt to come out and play in the sun... but slams the door in their face because he'd rather hang out in his dark hotel room and listen music alone.... just like I would have done 😂
