I believe in you.

An original song I wrote featuring a simple melody in simple words then maybe you need to hear today. Someone believes in you I believe in you
Moving on. Original song by David Bryan Smith.
มุมมอง 3896 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a song about getting in touch with your inner voice and trusting that you will achieve your dreams when you get clear on what they really are. Allow the process. Align your actions, and then let go and let the universe fill your dreams. It takes effort and it takes belief. Stop the negative thinking that gets in your way. Move on. I hope you like this song and share it with someone you ...

I played my newest song (just finished two days ago) for a gig today and I forgot the lyrics. #facepalm. Hey, sometimes it happens. this was funny and a bit embarrassing but it happens. I'm just being honest and real. You can write songs and be a performer if you take action. Allow, Align, Let go, It's time.
A song for Cancer survivors Courage by the Ton
มุมมอง 1677 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a song I wrote for a friend that is a cancer survivor. I thought she just has a ton of courage to go through the treatment and come out clean on the other side. I love this girl and I know she will live the rest of her life cancer free because she has courage by the ton. The weight has lifted.
Live at the Strand theater open mic "Jambalaya" a song for the Dakota water protectors
มุมมอง 1427 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a clip of me playing live at an open mic in the Marietta Square at the Strand Theater. It's a good group of folks that come together to play and sing and just have fun with their music. This is jambalaya my song for the Dakota water protectors who are losing their battle against the corporations who are invading their land by force.
Why you should busk/street perform and why you will never do it
มุมมอง 13K7 ปีที่แล้ว
I just got kicked off the Marietta square for busking and I thought I'd do a video about my experience. I got kicked off the square and so did Filipe from Venezuela. This is all about why you should street perform and why you just won't' take the time to go play in this performance venue. It's tough being a street performer. Here are some reasons why it's good for you to stretch in this way.
Dance with the devil
มุมมอง 1247 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a Boogie Woogie tune called Dance with the Devil. I think we all dance with our devils every day. We all have issues we work on. I truly think that if you can't trust the person you are with, your relationship is headed for failure. Trust the one you love. They have devils just like you do. You gotta dance with the devils of your partner if you want love. Real love.

I’d be more concerned about my tip jar or sign ….. or the cops. The amp is right at my feet so I never worry about that … it’s out of reach … but my tip jar is target. Fortunately I’ve never had an issue with anything but cops. Free speech does not matter to Atlanta and Cobb county cops. If they can hear you 50 feet away they will make you turn off any amp. I’ve played with street drummers and horn players and I have no chance of being heard over those guys acoustically. I’ve even been asked to move on saying I’m loitering when I’m playing. Homeless people make more money than me just begging. People don’t appreciate buskers and street performers in the states. If you ever try I hope you have better luck. I have other goals for busking other than tips. Cheers …..

Finger ease works very well ❤

    • @DavidBryanSmithmusic
      @DavidBryanSmithmusic ปีที่แล้ว

Finger ease has some of the same types of ingredients. I have a can of that as well. I like the applicator, but a paper towel cleans and lubes the entire string. Lot of gunk gets on the bottom of your strings. As a fun experiment, I would use your finger ease and apply it as usual, and then take a paper towel and run it all along the length of the string and see what it looks like afterwards see if there are any black marks from the dirt. Remember that I use regular slinky‘s on all my guitars, acoustic or electric, because all my acoustics are plugged in, and I just like playing on the same sets of strings. Good luck and thanks for the comment.

I try to use those microfiber’s for a polishing cloth thing to get some of the Gig grime off my gear but I end up just using a washcloth anyway or a towel bar towel or whatever lol. Good luck, man and I hope you have a great year. Thanks for the comment.

I also now have a sign that has my website and a qr you can scan to leave a tip, interact as a fan and get my music. It’s more important to me to get and reach fans than to ask for tips. Great job encouraging your daughter. Music gives you power. Cheers. 😍🥰

Loud enough to not be noticed in places where you actually can’t use a pa, but not really loud enough for places that will let you have a pa. For places where I need more, I use the Mackie free play. Been looking for a cheap lube/cleaner. I play Bass and when I play well, I must sweat pure string aids cuz I can put brand newies on at the start of a sesh and they're definitely half fucked three hours later. $50 for brand name 4 string sets, and its a major bummer. I wipe them down with a rag when I remember but doubt its really helping. I do the bassists secret tricks of, loosening each string and smashing it against the board (it works great, brightens them right up, for about one song, and can't be good for the frets, or the hardware!) Then ofc I boil em once or twice to eke out every last minute of life. Anyway, apart from cleaning and protecting against moisture, I really need the best lubrication effect, and that's my question. How long will they stay slippy if I gave them a good coating? Have you tried any of the brand name lubes? If so, how does the wd40 compare?

I have been using this on my guitar strings for 30 years and it does help to sustain the life of the strings especially because I have a very acidic sweat and can get through strings within a few days, and is cheaper than fast fret ... looking on forums people say you should not use it because it can damage the wood but on a electric guitar that is painted and lacquered it doesn’t seem to cause any issues at all although I wouldn’t like to risk it on a natural acoustic
