Easy! Hydrogen cars are electric cars too. You can't dig hydrogen, it needs to be made by renewel energy. Than it has to be cooled and compressed to get enough of it into a car. Once in the car a fuel cell is needed to make electrical current again from hydrogen to propell the car. All this took around 70 % of the energy available at the beginning. Just stupid to do so instead putting the energy in a battery by a lost of only 10 to 20 %.
