Maybe an EV from GM or Hundi with more service centers would be a better way to go. $1300 due to a flat and being stranded for hours on the turn pike!!! That's just crazy. Too much $$ for that kind of hassle. Teslas are beautiful cars and kind of cool but that lack of support for the price. It's not worth it to me.

- Driving with bald tires - Expecting Tesla to pay for towing your car, which is stranded due to negligence in maintenace - Expecting immediate and fitting service (someone picking you up a wheel, instead of just a tow to the service center) - All this while on the way to an important event (US Open). Not just abandoning the car and taking an uber / taxi / alternative way of transport like any other person would have done. Only thing I might blame Tesla for is negligence in tire maintenance warnings (because Tesla's rarely go in for service). I don't think the problem is with Tesla. "Common for back tires to blow out".... yeah... right....

this a common issue with the larger STOCK wheels, i believe going to a smaller rim/tire size solves this issue

Why are you riding in the car on the back of the tow truck it's typical that you should be in the cab of the tow truck and not in the car when it's being towed only time it's not done that way is if safety doesn't permit it

I've had a similar experience to yours. I left my car in a parking lot over night before roadside could come. My loner wheel didn't match my car's wheels making my car look a bit silly. Tesla needs to improve their roadside assistance for sure...
