WAVE PTX - Enhancing Business Operations at Isis Central Sugar Mill
มุมมอง 1537 หลายเดือนก่อน
Isis Central Sugar Milling is a sugar mill located at Childers in QLD. They process 1.2 million tonnes of cane from approximately 17,000 hectares. The distance needed to be covered by a radio network prevented the use of conventional UHF/VHF type radios, and the hilly terrain required a large repeater station network. AceComms and WAVE PTX has simplified their operations & workflow.

How to unlock the password of an EM300?
Love that this is posted to TH-cam. Just started my first real Radio job and am trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can !
Very useful information. Thank you very much 🙌
Glad it was helpful!
Hello. Can you make a video in which you explain how to set up a single-site Mototrbo system with a repeater? More precisely everything related to the hardware.
Thanks for the feedback. I will pass this request on.
hello, very interesting webinar, can you share the developed tables?
In case one repeater and designed to 5 talk groups. How to setup terminal automatic select to free time slot into repeater?
Silly question, when simplex and dual capacity direct mode, only 12.5 khz is needed? On the other hand, when using a single repeater, total of 25khz (2x12.5 khz) is used (when not using single freq. repeater mode)? Basically, 2 time slots in, 2 time slots out? For DMR, is it ok to use 2 adjacent 12.5khz channels, or should there be "guard" frequency in between? Let's say an organization goes to the regulator, is it better to request a licence for 2 disjointed 12.5khz channels than 1x 25khz?
All DMR channels are 12.5Khz channels. There are 2 time slots in the 12.5Khz channel. They are TDMA, so not like in FDMA 6.25Khz apart. 2 x DMR timeslots in a 12.5Khz channel. TETRA frequencies are issued as 25KHz channels as they utilise 4 time slots on a frequency. Dual Capacity Direct Mode is utilising 2 time slots in Simplex Mode. If you need more clarification please contact Grant Sleep on 1300 121 155. Thanks for your question.
@@AceCommunicationDistributors The question was what spacing is used if for example you have 2 or more DMR repeaters. Each repeater has an RX and a TX frequency, so 12.5Khz each, 25Khz in total per repeater? And then another repeater that adds 2 additional channels, is it acceptable to just put the frequencies next to each other?
@@vzivadinovic We would normally run a minimum of 300Khz between repeaters on a site if Multi-coupling was being utilised. You can run them right next to each other at 12.5Khz each, but you may get de-sensing on the system
@@AceCommunicationDistributors Thank you! Very informative!
that music isn't annoying at all
When I push PTT, I hear 3 beeps? It won't let me talk. What is that and how do I turn it off?
Same problem, not a huge deal as it's only 1/12 but having trouble finding a solution
@@jadebot1 I found the issue, if there isn't another walkie talkie in range it will do that.
Can we use it to make a normal phone call as well? SIP or PSTN? and can u add a SIM card to it too?
I would point out (and you might have said it but I was watching at work) that the source Clone devices STAYS in clone mode until you power it off and start again so you can just keep putting radio after radio into it over and over again. Very helpful. :)
Good point!
Why Motorola decided not to include ability to make phone call with Ion? What is the strategic motivation behind that choice?
Totally Agree Has all the blows and whistles. I was so totally impressed until this was said ?? Upgrade firmware and make it make calls Motorola !!!! However I love this radio way too much I think it looks beautiful and love how it operates.
@@Satlec Most like reason for that is to make this device considered as radio not telephone. In my location You cannot use telephone on duty while driving / operating industrial devices but You are allowed to use radio! That’s my assumption.
They should maybe make an option to have or not on the device imagine corporate companies can let there uses have email, calling , PTT talking radios, scanning barcodes scaning, identity cards scanning, NFC Tag reader, live video streaming from device, talk to analog and dmr radios, has wifi and Bluetooth, tracking of radio. It would be a monster of a device to sell to security industry.
Would be total control and it's intrinsically safe wow!
You CAN use it as a telephone. I do it every day. Add Google Voice and it works fine.
Did you port your number?
can you reprogram the PTT button to 3rd party apps such as zello or other Voip PTT apps?
Absolutely outstanding presentation of the DLR1060 with a thorough Q&A section. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
have three new Motorola DP4400e and with program CPS2 I write software from my old dp4400e motorola successfully. Then I save this program ,connect new Motorola on PC and open program ( from File) But when I try to clone program to New Motorola i received message /(1001205)The source archive contains feature which can not be written on device Please purchase and activate this features and try again
Thanks Grant - regards Ross TWHS
