That was my Hondo at the end. Got it when I was ten years old in 1984. I was looking for an upgrade, so I traded it in for a Squier with same candy apple red. A few weeks later I took THAT Strat and traded it in for another Squier (60s Classic Vibes) that I am positive I will keep for next 40 years. Love your stuff

These videos are meaningless. Differences are there when you actuality play, rather than just hear. I had both guitars and there is no game. Gibson is another world. A musical instrument is not just sound, it's something you touch, and how you touch it makes a good or bad mudician

I think for the sound quality the third one the fourth didn't make too much of a difference I didn't think but the three was very rich robust beautiful sound.

The Epiphone sounded better for rhythm imo

Gibson seems to have hotter pickups. If I am not mistaken this Studio came with Burstbucker pro's instead of the usual 498 sot it makes sense. LTD is nice though.

As a quick demo they do sound similar. But in the long run, you're going to appreciate the Pro2.

i guess the biggest difference is in the clean tones imo. you cant really tell all that much here, in this demo they sound pretty similar. but especially with slower paced songs that involve picking, the gibson clean tone sounds darker, more melancholic, slightly more delicate, and the epiphone is brighter and a little more jarring.

Its much more a comparison between a maple and rosewood tele sound. Rosewood sounds almost always much more compressed, more zingy, maple gives more mid tones. It i s a same situation between my Fender Vintera maple neck tele and my custom made partscaster rosewood(pau fero) telecaster.

I listened with my eyes closed and it wasn't easy to pick them apart. the first riff showed that the Gibson had a slightly thicker bottom end - which imo makes it a lot better. however once it's gone through some pedals and amp I doubt it matters that much

I have one just like it that Ive had for 50 years. I got it when I was 16 from my mother. She won an storage auction and it was in there! My only dislike is the lack of a truss rod. It plays easy all the way up the neck and has a beautiful tone but I like very low action and would put more of an arc on the neck if I could, but its been an old friend for a long time❤️

Both of them have extremely fragile headstocks because gibson refuses to reinforce them so wtvr. Pick whichever you want
