Bulling the toe of an RAF DMS shoe to a decent mirror shine.
มุมมอง 1.5K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
Stripping a very badly cracked and chipped RAF DMS shoe and beginning again. Already stripped and base coat of wax applied. Now for a quick 15 minutes for the first polishing. I use a Selvyt PR cloth and Saphir polish.

Hat das jemand mal bei Doc Martens probiert?
Where does one buy the beeswax? Is it in that first brushable state when bought?
Where do u get your beeswax from
From bees
I have saphir mirror gloss. I try to apply multiple layers, like 3 4 very thin coats, then i let it dry for 10 mins and then I take my old t shirt and take very very little wax on it and buff it gently, then i apply a drop of water and keep buffing but even after 30 mins of alternating between wax and water I don't get any mirror shine. Can you please guide me what am I doing wrong?
How much shrinkage occurs during the waxing process.
@@alberthackler9022 it really does change with each boot and shoe. The better you pack them the less you get. Obviously if you are careful and only apply the heat you need there is minimal shrinkage.
@@paradepolishingandbulling Thank you.
Melted candle wax is work instead of beeswax?
what do you do after the beeswax drys?
Why do you use your fingers to apply the polish? Great videos
what polish and beeswax brand do you use
@@CookieCatsAreYum Saphir
How much does the boots shrink when exposed to the heat from the heat gun.
I’ve been watching many videos but still couldn’t shine my shoes. With only your video I could finally get the shine thank you indeed
How man? Ive got some in the garage and theyre shit. Had three layers of beeswax melted in with a heat gun and they look like a melted candle and still soft.
👍👍👍
What type of heat gun do you use ?
I am trying to watch you working, and following as you do it, is there anyway you could change this to full screen?, as I can’t see which order you use the various polishes , please !!
Awesome and beautiful ❤️.. perfect video
Wat did U use after U use a ton of polish
A Selvyt cloth
@@paradepolishingandbulling do you use any polish with the selvyt?
Do you sand the boot down beforehand or ?
Strip with solvent, wash with saddle soap, rinse with cold water. Let leather dry at least 24 hours. Condition the entire upper before polishing. Cracking will not occur for many years with this method.
A heat gun is too hot to use on leather ! Why don't you strip them properly with acetone or Saphir Renomat ?
Just paint them with black paint
😂I mean if you want to risk it depending on how strict your enviroment is be my guest!
Does the wax crack off at the creases
They should call you spit shine Tommy, cos you made those shoes look like fkn mirrors!
do you sand down the boot before the beeswax?
where do you buy your beeswax for cheap from?
do you sand the boot first before adding beeswax?
What type of wax
And were can I get it
beeswax
When the shoes are worn and you go walkabout does the polish not crack between the toe cap and the laces?
Hi @paradepolishingandbulling Great video, but I think I didn't follow which polishes you're using. For the base layers it's Pate De Luxe, then mirror gloss for the final layer? But it looks like you're using a tiny bit of mirror gloss, but using another wax with it? If you could let me know which are all the waxes you use I'd be most grateful :)
Wow excellent work beautiful ❤️😍
You mentioned using hot water? When did you do that or did I miss it?
Me spending 3 days only for my boots to not be as shiny😅
Thanks very much
Beautiful work 😀. excellent and perfection..I really love to watch this video... perfect way to polish your shoes.fantastic.
Which wax is better for shoes? Just the bee wax ?
Yes.
Great results !
Beautiful 😻. video.. perfect job......
I like this 🤩.... beautiful work.. perfect job
Super... perfect and outstanding
that is so impressive. im buying your stuff, got the wax heater, getting the heat gun, getting the applicator!
Would you beeswax them first before applying polish for the oxfords?
Fantastic...... nice work
Thanks for this! Can you post a video like this except showing the sanding process, to remove the factory finish to get ready for beeswaxing?
I retired from the Navy three years ago, but still use my dress shoes on occasion. I'd heard about this method, but getting the equipment was prohibitive. I've got the equipment now, but I have a question. When you're melting in the wax, it's it absorbing into the leather, or is it just flowing down? I saw some was definitely, and that brought me to my next question. How do you deal with all that melted wax getting into the stitching?
Most of the beeswax gets absorbed but if it does run down on to the welt I use an iPhone SIM card tool to scrape it out.
What song is this

wouldn't the beeswax crack upon, being worn? I understand it working on shoes but something as flimsy as a belt?
I'd love a long form tutorial! Also your dog sounds super cute 🥰
Why not use a wooden shoe tree?
Sand was the traditional method
Are you sanding the boot after beeswaxing? what grit Sand paper
