I love to travel. I'm also a gearhead, which explains the sound and picture part.
Mary and Jeff's 2024 Christmas Video
Best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful holiday season. Have a very Mary Christmas everyone!
Video recorded mainly with a base model iPad front cam and Sony ZV-E10 2 for the tripod shot. Sound from Rode Wireless Go 2 transmitters and a 2009 Sony M10 recorder. That little recorder still sounds great.

I've used both and they are cool cameras. Perfect size for travel and everyday shooting. I think the mark 1 is a better value, but for many people the upgrades make the newer version the right choice. Sound: Lewitt LCT 240 Pro into a Sound Devices MixPre 6 Picture: ZV-E10 2 with Sigma 30mm f1.4

It's been out for a number of years now, but in the audio world microphones that sound great stand the test of time, unlike many other content creation gadgets like camera bodies. This quick review lets you hear how it sounds on a boomer male voice. Sound: Rode Podmic into a Sound Devices MixPre 6 mk ii. The kit lens performs quite well if you throw enough light at it.
A Rainy Day at Waterfalls in Taiwan

Recorded in January on the outskirts of Taipei. All pics and video were shot on my inexpensive Motorola Power G phone. Would have been better with a gimbal, but didn't get one until after this excursion.
Just Another Day In The Philippines: DJI Gimbal Test
มุมมอง 486 หลายเดือนก่อน
On my last Asia trip a duty free shop in the Taipei airport had the DJI Mobile 6 phone gimbal for only $110 so I grabbed it. Wasn't sure how I would like it but I'm glad I made the purchase. This thing is perfect for travel and you don't attract as much attention with a phone on a gimbal compared to bigger mirrorless cams with larger gimbals. I like that. Shot on my cheap $200 Motorola Power G.

Sound Devices is an Australian company. Ain't yankee.
No, Rode is an Australian company. Sound Devices is an American company founded in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, USA. The founders of Sound Devices had been previously employed by Shure, another Yankee company famous for the SM7 and SM 58 microphones. Please go to Wikipedia and search for Sound Devices. It will have more info about this American company and its history if that might interest you. And thanks for watching.
southeast asia? have you ever landed in Indonesia 🇮🇩?
No, but I'd love to visit Indonesia in the future.
I guess mark 1 is better if you don’t do any colour grading and shoot slog 3. Although the battery has increased but if you shoot in 10 bits 4k 60p, it will not last longer. But i guess it will be longer when you shoot 8bits in 4K 24p, longer than mark 1.
You are correct. Thanks for watching. Either version of this cam is a solid choice, in my humble opinion.
@ yes indeed.
Hello uncle im from indonesian 🇮🇩 , I like your content.
Thanks for watching!
@SoundPicTravel ok uncle, nice to meet you, what country are you in?
@@gugunsandiardjo3031 I'm in the USA. Nice to meet you too and thanks for watching my videos.

Tolle Bilder aus einem wunderschönen friedfertigen buddhistischen Land mit seinen liebenswürdigen Menschen!
Can you do a tutorial on how you set up what you use to set up piece white pbc under the table? That is a great idea 💡 👍🏼
Thanks for the idea!
Niceeeee
Thanks for watching.
If you could do it over would you get mixpre 10?
Not unless I really needed the 4 extra XLR inputs. Very big price difference between the 6 and the 10. Thanks for watching.
awesome video. i just got a mixpre-6 ii too. still learning and figuring it out.
Thanks for watching!
As a Filipino, having traveled other ASEAN countries, our airport is way behind. I can say that our airport is slightly better than Bangladesh airport (Not the new one T3) Good thing at new airport is now being built north of Manila (Bulacan)
Thanks for watching. I really like many of the airports in the Philippines and think a remodel of T1 to be a domestic terminal with a shiny new place for international flights would be a nice combo, but time will tell. Or maybe a mix of old and new like Suvarnabhumi and Don Meuang in Bangkok could work. Can't wait to get back to Bohol later this year.
use Clark a lot better them manila
Indeed. But if like me you hate those long transpacific flights most of the international connections at Clark are to places closer by in Asia. A direct flight between the west coast of the states and Clark would be sweet.
beautiful images... here's hoping the algorithm discovers you - then again, it's nice just doing it for the love of it.
I hope so! It's nice to have people watch. But YT is just a hobby for me.
