We went there in the midle of july, and was there for 3 weeks 😊

@@doddsalfa This movie starting with offroad driving? At the track up to Langjökull ice cave? There is a road all the way to the glacier and we talked with the tourist office at Mountaineers of Iceland regarding if it was ok and safe to follow the tracks up to the ice cave.

@@doddsalfa at this plateau we saw tracks all over the place so we didnt think that was an issue. We did encounter ranger over at Vatnajökull national park witch told us more regarding the rules, and if the there is a spot that is obviously ment for parking along side of a track its legal to drive off the track and park the car alongside the track. Witch in this case we made an conclusion that it was ok. If thats not the case, we’re sorry. We would never intend to go off the track and drive illegal.

So you are saying that we didnt do this trip in Sweden? 😂

@@TheJonasbz What I can tell you though, is that we’re from Norway and live quite close to the Swedish boarder, so you’re right, in the start and end of the movie we are in Norway, driving to Sweden 😉

20-25 of June might be too early for many of the highland routes. But depends on how warm the spring and early summer will be.

Þetta er fyrir Sléttanes, milli Arnarfjarðar og Dýrafjarðar. Mæli með þessari leið. Upp einn dalinn á þessari leið er hægt að keyra upp í 600 metra hæð og þá er nokkuð auðvelt að labba upp á Kaldbak sem er hæsta fjall á Vestfjörðum. Ef þú stendur uppá vörðu á toppnum þá ertu í 1000 metra hæð.

I am planing to do the next is the covid allow it. Now I am alone and I don't have another partner for the trip. Is better to do in group. For rescuing, helping, mechanics and many things...... If you are interested, write me.... I have many things ready like the Ferry schedule, price, I have sat phone ,radios, fridge/freezer, and preparing my car.

Gryff Not sure! I’d say its possible, but you could risk getting stuck or damaging your car 😅

vmersin Might seem like this was an real offroad trip but all this «tracks» are marked as roads on the map. Not that much in use though. Some overgrown and some trees fallen over. But alot of fun! 😊
