Might be able to find one again, absolutely love mine tho.
im hoping to buy one!
Go for it man, given this quad from my dad and I loved it since the day I got it. They’re always super fun to ride and have loads of power.
@@HunterMX128 OKAY is $1300 an good deal for a clean one cuz i found one for $1300
Depends on how the engine health is but might not be a horrible deal
@@HunterMX128 yea the person was a scammer and all the other ones are 2k now so ima wait tell next year to find one
Is ur dad name tim
No it is not
where is this place?
Over in eastern Washington, vantage area.
Do ya thing
How many races do you race only 2?
Yes, I only race one class which has toe motos for an overall finish when combined. If I did another class I would be racing 4 motos and so on.
LOOK GREAT HUNTER !!! sorry to hear about your bike bud ;( let me know when you get rolling again !!
Thank you! Doing my best that I can.
I feel like u cases most of em jumps
Great one hunter!
Thank you!
What class were you in when you were racing?
Schoolboy (12-16)
Washington right?
Yes.
5:50-6:10 is Logan and Lexi going down. Pretty cool that he got up and still finished not in last.
Can't do anything about that bud - take a breath and gather yourself and push for good laps to get back in it 👊✊❤ !!! starting to put together Hunter - looking good !!!
good video bro you are strong !
FIRST!
this place has gotten overrun and we dont want it to get worse, too many people start riding there and they will shut it down. not cool to share the location online
Nice bro i have a cr125. Not as fast as the yzs ive heard but i love it
that's awesome, what year is your cr?
I'll be there in my pit bike next Thursday
Bros gonna have to pay twice as much as the bike on clutches. Put the damn thing in first when your going slow. I don't think you know how to shift. That bike hates you
Bro you riding the shit outa the clutch put it in first when you start
That bike hates him. I swear he don't know how to shift.
😂🤦♂️
Great video dude.👍
What do you like better quad or dirt bike? I’m considering getting my first one but can’t decide which one
I love riding both, I would say learning to ride a bike is harder but once you learn how ride it’s absolute blast.
Drifting quads is one of my favorite pastimes
Yeah, they are super fun especially in snow.
Attack those corners! Loved that track. First time there in August.
Definitely a fun track to ride but huge compared to a track like washougal.
@@HunterMX128 huge meaning?
Meant to say not huge huge instead of just huge.
You ripped way harder than i was expecting nice video
Thanks the comment I appreciate it.
your doing good keep it up
Thanks, will do brother
Where the part where you were pinned? Still looking for it.
Fully pinned guys
“pinned”
I want one of those dirt bikes
I would definitely get one if you can there a absolute blast to ride. I have nothing bad to say about my YZ.
You guys are lucky that looks like fun if I did that where I live the cops would be there within 15 minutes
Yeah, I’m definitely super lucky to be able to ride near my house.
Are you okay I don't understand why you were throwing snow at your bike
Yeah I’m all good I was just messing around
what gear or gears are you in on this track
3 and 2 but recently I’ve been focusing on being more speeding into the corners so now I’m normally in third through the corners and straights and not shifting as much.
Get em Hunter !!! I hear that clutch work woot woot !!! if you don't crash you're not trying hard enough, even the pros wreck !!! you look awesome, keep up the good work bud 👊✊❤
Thanks I’ve been trying to do better with getting more speed into the corners.
Sweet video 🤙
Your making mistakes you almost looped out over that jump. And a few times jumped a lil too nose high. That's body position and not being forward enough in the bike. You went over the berm due to improper braking technique. Does not look like you are using enough front brake to much reliance on the rear. All your braking power comes from the front brake 70%. Using the front brake should be your first brake you go to all the time. You should be comfortable at speed using the front brake aggressively and be able to pull off a stoppie. I only use the rear for additional braking and sometimes for setting up for corners. And corners you are still to upright in them. You need to lean over more it helps make them easier. When sticking your leg out for corners. It's not doing much if the foot isn't up by the front wheel brake axle area. Which brings me gripping the bike with your knees ankles. Your attack stance should feel natural with squeezing the bike from your ankles up to your knees gripping the sides on the seat and frame areas. This will also make jumping easier. Less prone to getting kicked around if you hit a something. Less prone to getting thrown off the bike should you come up short on a jump. This also applies to corners were the outside leg should be gripping the bike and your outside foot putting weight pressure on the footpeg. All these things will help with arm pump and allow you to have to not have to grip the handle bars so tight. Once you master the proper form and braking techniques cornering. You want to get to where your braking is done before the corner entrance and midway through the corner back on the gas. And look ahead not at the corner. Where your head looks the body tends to follow.
Sounds good, all the things you mentioned complete sense. When I think about I feel like I’ve been slacking off on those around that you talk about so next time I go to the track I’ll do my way to implement the things that you stated. Thank you the advice when given it makes complete sense everytime and it definitely helps as good reminders as to what to do when riding form wise.
@HunterMX128 it's easy for me to point out I've been riding for 41 years. Everything I said should become stuff you just do without really thinking about it. Keep practicing what I mentioned to work on. Your ridding will improve stuff will become easier you'll crash less and the fun factor of ridding will go up. Btw I owned a 06 yz125/144 for 15 years I know how to make it rip. Not the fastest dude but I ride at an intermediate level. Maybe even consider a mx school. And I don't mean one for total beginners. One for guys like yourself who are trying to go from beginners to say at least a junior/novice level.
I was assuming that you had rode for awhile your tips made to much sense everytime. That’s also really cool you’ve been riding for 41 years. I definitely like the tips because I want to learn really good technique on my yz before I get moved up to a 250 possibly, so everytime that I gets now I try my best to implement as much as I can. Thank you for the tips that you give all the time they really Al good reminders for what i need to work on/ what I need to stop slacking on so much.
@@HunterMX128 I think some of his advise is good, but I don't agree with some of it. For example, the front end being high off the jumps is probably not from your body positioning as much as it is at the point where you get off the gas as your front wheel leaves the lip. The sooner you get off the gas, (2-stroke. I don't have any exp with 4-strokes), the more the front end will drop. Grabbing the bike with your knees as much as you can is good advise, and staying on your toes is also. From the shadow of you I see, your riding position does not look too bad. But in my day, the 125's would sound like they were either full on the gas, or off the throttle for braking. I see a lot of riders with slow corner speed today, and tall bikes with high handlebars don't help. If you want to learn good technique, look up a teacher named Gary Bailey, and ask him if he has any books he can sell you. But practice this for the ends of the straights and corners. Of course, all corners and angles are different, but basically, you want to brake with both brakes hard, but not scrub too much speed. A good way to force more corner speed and shave off a lot of time, is to fly into the corner, braking as late and as hard as you can when you are still strraigh up and down (Pump the front brake lever like anti lock brakes work, so if the wheel slips, it will most likely come back in line). As you lean the bike over, (especially on flat ground), you will be easing off the brakes. Dragging the front brake all the way to the turning point helps keep your forks compressed more for better cornering, but pay attention to the feel of the tire on the ground, (lower bars and high elbows help that feel). Now, when you are braking hard with both brakes while straight up, start down shifting with no clutch. That way you can hear the engine rpm rise as you hit each gear under braking. Try going into the corner a gear higher than you normally would, then as you turn, pull the clutch in and pin the throttle open, feeding out the power 9in the higher gear) with the clutch. Of course, being in a berm is best for the throttle pin, but with good balance, you can control the power well with the clutch even on flatter ground. Slippery flat ground probably can not use as much throttle. On flat ground, lean the bike and not the body much, and step hard on the outside peg when exiting the corner. In a berm, lean the body more with the bike. Your knees against the bike will help guide the lean and turn also. When you brake hard while downshifting and select one gear high, it will force you to enter the corner faster so you don't bot coming out of it. If you bog more than once, (pulling the clutch back in a bit to get the revs up again on the exit), you will start losing the momentum you gained. Get back on the bike for hard braking, and of course, grab the bike with your knees, (so you can keep your arms relaxed), then move forward at the end of your braking, sit down and pin it for the pivot and exit. When you get used to it, you won't be doing any coasting into the corner, and it will sound like you are either full on, or full off the throttle. I am a old man getting back into it again, and YTubers advise can take you down wrong tracks. I strong suggest you contact Gary Bailey, as he is/was the best teacher in the world. If you are under 5'11" tall also, I know the YZ 2-stroke are very tall. I lowered my 250 seat by 1", and my suspension by .75" on each end. Bright the bard back so your grip end are pointing down, and set your rear sag at 100mm. (or 95mm with the lowered suspension.). That is the old school set up, from up to the late 90's, when we were the best in the world and every amateur had pretty good corner speed. :) We were a lot faster in the corners in the 80's as amateurs. Hey, forget me. Just go get the Bailey information. :)
Bring the bars back so your grip enda are pointing down, and set your rear sag at 100mm.
Awesome!
I was in that class that day and i did the same exact thing falling when pulling off the track 😂😂
That’s amazing, I was actually laughing on the way back after I fell 🤣
got goosebumps w you at the starting gate AGGGHHHHHHHHH 👊👊✊✊❤❤ you did great thru the whoops - time to grab another gear going up the hill my man !!!
How long have you been riding?
Almost four years now.
@@HunterMX128 Nice, I’m still fairly new to it. Haven’t even been riding a year, I have a 2014 yz250 2 stroke
Oh cool awesome bike. Those things have some much power to them.
@@HunterMX128 they really do! When I hit the power band, I’m trying my hardest to hang on to it 😂
That’s cool, takes a lot of strength to ride those things for sure.
Yeah finally a real track gotta try burnt ridge and ward creek out. The trick to the road jump at shougal is carry your momentum through the sand into the corner. And scream 4th into the top end pinned with a good drive. You'll land up top every time. Half ass and you'll just case it. Trust the ruts your slowing down to much for them and they are grabbing the tire standing you up. They are easier on the gas lean into them more by leaning over for the turn more. Ruts in a straight line easier on the gas leaning weight towards the back front wheel light.
I remember this next time I go. It was definitely different off a track so thank you for the advice. I was struggling the whole weekend to make it to the top.
GOOOOO HUNTER - how fun was that track woooo hooooo !!!!!!????? Time to start experimenting w your clutch and gears to step up \\m// !!!
The track was a absolute blast. Definitely wanna go back next year.

No, the bike was a stock 110. It was one of the peoples bike that I was camping with, they let me ride it for a bit.

It was definitely a cool experience. I want to get one now, but I gotta save up the money before I can get one.
