    I am a natural planner as well and meal prep is definitely a must! I plan meals about a month ahead of time. I don't have much for freezer space so I generally just cook each weekend for the following week.

    Gotta drink that water, girl! I can always feel it if I go a day drinking less than my regular 75 oz. Some days I need more because of salt in tske and what-not. I enjoy your sharing the insights of this book!

    You're welcome! 😊 I think most all of us have those fears of failing the weightloss journey even with surgery - that's why I personally freak out whenever I stall. Weekends can get rough - routine is extremely helpful for me to stay on track. I track my eating in My Fitness Pal, which helps, but even then I am not always at 100%

    Oh my goodness this sounds awful! You look like you are so uncomfortable 😞 I have not had dumping thankfully. I have had bowel issues on occasion, but I had the Loop DS procedure so it is a bit different.

    I think, for me, I am so used to going to food to quell stress that I don't even realize right away that I am stressed until I made the bad food choice and am beating myself up for making that choice. Tracking all my food so I am forces to look at it is probably what has helped me the most. I am still not awesome at food choices 100% of the time, bit it does help keep me accountable and really recognize the choices I make with food. Hope you are able to figure out those triggers and create healthier and lasting food habits for yourself 💕 Food is a part of life and should be enjoyed - but we also need to balance that so we don't become self destructive with it either. Keep working at it, my friend!

    I do get dry skin now after surgery - and I drink about 75 oz of water per day. Thankfully I can just use regular lotions and it seems to keep me pretty ok except for my scalp - I get dandruff now, which has never been an issue before and so have had to scale back on washing my hair to prevent flakiness.

    Hi! Congratulations on some great weight loss!! Slow or fast, every pound matters as you are headed in the right dierction. You seem to be doing better mentally and that is the toughest part of this process. Glad to see an update! 💕

    I know the toughest part is trying to adjust the way we think about food. You are right, we definitely can't eat normal, but it is all for our health and well-being in the end!

    Hi! Wow! You had serious scares with your surgery! But you made it thru it and you are getting results! This is definitely not the easy way out. For most people, this was the last desperate option to take control of their weight. It was for me anyway. The mental battle is the toughest, bit the change will be worth it! 😊

    Your body has been thru quite a shock with surgery. I haven't heard of the body temp issue before, but have heard that people feel cold easier after surgery. I wonder how much of what you are experiencing with fatigue and body temp is related to the blood thinner?? Hope your body settles in and adjusts to the new system soon! Take care, my dear, you will get thru this!

    Thank you for sharing your journey. I have watched all your videos, but I don't seem to remember which surgery you had and where you are from. I'm horrible with those things lol. I'm currently in the process of qualifying for gastric bypass surgery. Only 7 more months to go of my managed weight loss plan. My insurance company is one of the ones that requires a longer program. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your journey. I can't wait to see how well you do.

    That is how my right leg is. I injured my right knee about 4 years ago now and pulled the nerve in my leg. My right leg is constantly numb, but when I walk my leg feels like I'm being stabbed over and over in the leg. My leg also gets sorta dragged as I'm walking. I'm not diabetic, but I do have polycystic ovarian syndrome and insulin resistance and take diabetes meds for it. I too am preparing to have weight loss surgery. I have 2 more months to go on my managed weight loss plan. I'm enjoying watching your journey unfold. I think you're going to do great.

    I have never heard of taking a prenatal instead of multi - interesting. My nutritionist suggested a bariatric specific multivitamin. I wonder if the stats are similar. Wow! 10 lbs!! That's awesome!

  • @mysteryguest1948
    @mysteryguest1948 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have done liquid diets in the past and I am so not looking forward to doing the pre-op. I am not sure what my surgeon requires yet, but I am sure it will be a shock to my system! You are totally on point about keeping yout eye on the goal - it isn't forever and ut is for a brighter and healthier you!

  • @mysteryguest1948
    @mysteryguest1948 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Oh my word, girl! I hope all of these issues will begin to drop off of you as the weight does! I feel you on the hair thing, my hair is thin too - but I would rather wear extensions and be healthy than keep my hair and my fat! 😃

    • @jessicavokey649
      @jessicavokey649 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently after surgery the hair is so fine and brittle extensions have nothing to grab on to. I agree, as scared as I am about losing my hair I will get a wig if it means I can stop taking meds for diabetes!!!!

  • @mysteryguest1948
    @mysteryguest1948 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can do this! I know how you feel! I have always felt like a strong and smart and confident go-getter kind of person, but my weight is such a battle! It is time to reach out for and admit to needing that help. This journey has become surprisingly introspective!

    Hi Jessica, I just love that you have a lot of information on this weightloss route, You have done great research, every bidy is different so we all individually know what is best for us, what works what does not work, It is a great idea to follow the surgeons advice coz I meant they know best. I just wish you all the best, everything will be fine!😊. I am on a weightloss journey too on my channel(you are welcome there😊), I have been following a ketogenic lifestyle for about 5 months now and so far its going well I haven't had surgery but I am in my final months of med school and I undestand weightloss surgery and love watching peoples' experiences so thank you for sharing😊.
