15" is slightly deeper then 13" but just for the very large objects

I agree with you about the size and balance, therefore Detech has produced 11.5" Ultimate coil which has absolute the same depth of detection like the 13" on Apex, but is lighter and smaller. Other thing is that the Viper coil is turning to Iron big silver coin (when vertical position). The 11.5" Ultimate is much better. Ho fatto test e una moneta a 25 cm la sente benissimo,se vogliamo cercare il petrolio è un conto se vogliamo cercare monete è un altro,come ben sai quasi tutti i target sono entro i 20 cm

I prefer Detech to be honest. All of their search coils are working great. Btw, Detech has more than 20 years experience in producing search coils. But will love to see a honest review on new products

The Equinox has been used only for depth reference, this is not a comparison test. The idea was to show the importance of the search coil. Thanks for your comments.

The simplex was also in park mode 1, which is also about equivalent 5 recovery speed on the equinox. If the detector was in field mode. This about equivalent 1-3 recovery speed - even with the stock coil it will find coins 30cm deep if the soil conditions allow. The biggest problem with the equinox is there's no evident audio change from ground feedback to a target, where as the nokta has a loud difference. I've found lots of tiny items with my simplex.
