I sort of agree everything's digital now, not quite the same as his analog tone at the time, Even today in my opinion digital stuff maybe close but not the same, I owned a rockman XPR multi-processor, it get , a little noisy, I had , The XPR headphone amp , audios out to my stereo and recorder it was quite and made a few CDs it was crystal clear., too bad I had to sell them for money now I want to replace them, this is quite sound that you want to achieve crystal clear, distortion , etc , thanks Tom you rockman equipment was beautiful, does , durdell's , music , ring, a Bell, ? Probably not, but when Cliff Ruth and even Fred and Alice retired recently, they found an old rockman XP 100 headphone, amp, in the back, of the store, anyways , owned a few , but without the battery cover positive for negative turmoil I'm missing it doesn't work, hair and can't find a AC adapter, voltage is to weird, -6 volts -4 volts and a partridge in a pear tree, Even if you can find , an adapter, it will have to be purchased with another rockman x100 headphone amp , five hundred and more, but what the hell do I know

It’s great to see Izzy getting some attention! I can’t talk down on Slash, nor any of the other Guns for that matter, but Izzy approached his craft the consummate RHYTHM player. Yeah, he could play lead, and did on occasion, but the rhythms he played were unique, weaving expertly around and between Slash’s rhythms and Duff’s bass lines. While Slash’s parts have gotten much publication, Izzy’s get overlooked quite often. Sadly, rhythm guitar is usually relegated to “touring guitarists” or singers who can play guitar, and so many would-be rhythm guitarists wind up playing bass (Duff is an accomplished rhythm guitarist himself). Thank you for shining the spotlight on Izzy, mate!

Exactly. I recommend getting the Bugera Power Soak PS-1 for about $100. Whisper quiet for bedroom then stage ready as well. Also the Friedman Small box pedal is by far the greatest JMP sound. It gives me chills. But if you have a great Marshall already then the power soak is the way to go. Had mine for 5 years with zero problems.

So I have been trying to build the definitive 70s Gilmour tone and watching several peoples takes on it and you have a good one so that’s a positive. However regarding the history and dong writing structure of Pink Floyd you made some errors. David and Roger weren’t song writing partners it wasn’t that esters write lyrics and David music, Roger wrote both during the boom years of the band. From around 1971 until 1980 waters wrote 90% of everything the band released. David got writing credits for his solos and got writing credits for a handful of songs he actually contributed and the rest of the band got writing credits for their interpretation of Rogers musical scores but in words and music waters wrote just about everything. Gilmour did bring a dynamic and musicianship to the band that brought them to legendary status and the music did get much more complex and “better” after he joined which was because of him but also because Syd wasn’t a very good guitar player it’s rumored that he didn’t even know how to tune a guitar and during the earliest gigs he didn’t even try that’s why at the time they were so organ and electric piano focused when playing live they would just turn downs syds amp. It became a problem in the studio and once they started recording syd wasn’t long for the band because despite being a good writer, charismatic and artistic he couldn’t play, so yes getting a great player that could also sing really well and had a grasp of theory improved the band immensely. He however wasn’t a song writer and his best work still is playing Rogers songs. I understand a lot of people don’t care for Roger waters but in any conversation about Pink Floyd he can’t be dismissed. He created that band and built it on his shoulders it can be debated as to whether or not hypothetically any other members could have been changed and still be as successful but it cannot be debated whether or not the band would have become what it was without waters.
