Harbor seals getting some much needed down time after a busy salmon season!

While kayaking on the Oregon coast we came across a beautiful bald eagle perched on some drift wood in the estuary. We quietly observed him for several minutes, then he took to flight!

This Juvenile Bald Eagle is hidden in plain sight on the central Oregon coast. If you look around you never know what you might find. Our Bald Eagle population has significantly increased after being dangerously low in the early to mid 70's.

The Oregon coast has miles of beautiful beaches to explore, and there's no better way to explore them than on a fat tire bicycle. Check with local fat tire bike rental shops about safest times to go and days to avoid. You should avoid days with and heavy seas and large swells are forecast. We recommend going at lower tide and riding on the hard packed sand.
